the hunter limped in and fell just as he entered the lands he was in pain but it wasn't life threating the battle was over their son safe at the Ladies place.

Moon Spirit

The female moved to her lands her head held high for she was still the proud alphess and she didnt want her true feelings to shine through. Inside she was torn to pieces but she didnt care. For awhile longer she could pretend that everything was fine and nothing was ever wrong.

Zev*Kianga

Zev trotted in behind Moon Spirit, relieved that she had finally come back. He was in pretty decent shape, but his eyes were haunted as he came to stand near his alphas. He cast lamps about, looking for Elena. He was worried about her. She had never shown up at the battle.

Kianga limped in behind her father, spattered with blood from herself and her sister. She was quiet, not knowing where Mama was, or her dark friend. Her soft voice said, Mama... Aba... Keko... And then she could say no more.

Moon Spirit

Moon Spirit watched as Zev and Kianga came in and the look in Zev's eyes almost tore her apart. But she blinked once then turned back to her mate. She moved closer to him and lay by his side resting her head upon his back trying her hardest not to start crying. Her children....Her children were....She shuddered once then she was quiet for she remembered a time when things had been peaceful and happy. She remembered when her and her sister raced through the trees at top speed laughing so hard they had to stop. She remembered back when Aaka had been sweet and innocent, untainted by the worlds cruelty. But that was a long time ago. Aaka would never be the same and now her son would be just like her. Where had Moon Spirit gone wrong?

Zev*Kianga

Zev felt a wave of sorrow hovering over Moon Spirit, feeling in it the same regret that he knew within himself. Obviously he had not raised Soleda correctly, and for this he was being punished. But he came to himself as he saw Spirit shudder, and he sighed, speaking softly. Alphess... forgive me for intruding so... but crying... is always acceptable. Why would Randea, mother of us all, have invented tears if she did not mean for us to use them when it was appropriate? It was something his mother had told him long ago, trying to convince him that being tough was not always the answer. He had never believed it, but he hoped that it would convince Moon Spirit. Sighing again, he trotted over to sit next to Kianga, leaving the alphess alone with her mate.

Kianga was completely frozen in shock. She streamed with blood from all the pups, but she did not feel the pain the wounds inflicted. Nor did she feel her father's caress as he came up beside her. She was silent and immobile, as if carved in stone. The little sunbeam had been quenched.

Kekochoi

Kekochoi stumbled back home the black wolfess's eyes shock filled. She was bleeding still and she was shocked at how that....Dog had attacked her. She hadnt even done anything to him. Why was the world like this?

As she came upon the small gathering she looked at her parents then to Kianga. She lay where she was pysically unable to go any farther. The little female was dog tired and just plain unable to move.

Kianga

Kianga spotted Keko immediately, and it jerked her out of her frozen reverie. Kicking into a run, she lay down beside Keko, licking carefully at the wounds. She wanted to speak... but...

his voids moved over the gatherings his thorns took in the tones of others his mind raced. He moved his crown closer to his mate as she laid next to him shuddering. He looked at each wolf before him and the hurt and betrayl of the world was writtin in their voids. Finding some hidden strength the hunter rose a little wobbly and swayed but found his balance in his voids was a certain determination that had never resided there before. His voice was stronger than he felt as a sharp bark called them all to him he had something to say things were about to change.
