Yuma

Yuma dragged the ewe as far as he could, then sat down on the ground. He looked around to make sure there were no other carnivores here to take his feast. When he saw nobody around, he began eating.

Aava

The alpha wolfess, with her now shaggy coat of yellowish-white, was trampling angrily through her territory, scouting the area as best as she knew how. She visisted every particular spot where she could remember seeing herself with her mate, and instead of calming her, it only made things worse.
Growling out of pure frustration and anger, eyes wide with hatred, she turned a corner of bushes and locked eyes on the form of the coyote. Then her hazel eyes took on a deadly look, and she released a snarl of fury. No one dared step onto the land of her and her "mate." In her mind, he was still there, but in reality, he was nothing more than dead.
Then she pulled her lips back in a heartless show of fangs, just daring this dainty creature to make the wrong move. She easily sized him up, wary of sudden attacks, eying the carcess with a hidden but present hungry tweak.

Yuma

Yuma lifted his head when he smelled a wolf. "Hello?" He said, looking around. Then he heard the faint growling. He saw nothing, until he looked to the bushes. He stood up and watched Aava for a while, petrified with fear. His one true fear was of any animal that could eat him. "Um...I'm sorry. Am I trespassing here?" He asked, hoping Aava wouldn't make a meal out of him.

Aava & Esprit

Aava lowered her front end down, bending her fore legs in a pouncing fashion. She would make this coyote her next meal if he didn't leave. She opened her mouth wide, avoiding any talk, for she was all action. One wouldn't be surprised if she was mute, even. But she wasn't. She could snarl, growl, and wow did she do them well.
Ready to leap at the coyote, not even caring for his speech, there was a sudden bark behind her. Then, without even looking, she pushed off the ground with her powerful hind legs, soaring straight for the male. Her jaws were open wide, aimed for his throat, when suddenly-- SMACK. Another lightly colored wolfess had come up from behind and latched onto the alphess' tail. At this, Aava released a sharp yeowl of pain, as she then collapsed to the ground below. Growling, she spun her head around and snapped at the other wolf, but it had immedietly let go.

This wolfess was Esprit, Aava's daughter. Her only daughter, now. With a sigh of distress, the subordinate gave her head a brisk shake. She hated attacking at her mother, but sometimes it was needed. About 1 out of 10 she had to hold the crazy fae back. If she wasn't there, Aava would likely get herself killed or hurt badly.
Esprit's brown eyes gave Aava a quick glance, a bit of a hurt feeling deep down. She then turned her head to the coyote, and gave him a nod. "Yes, you are. I'de suggest you being careful here, she's not the most... 'Alright' wolf." she stated, auds flickering, attention split between Aava and Yuma. Esprit felt as though she couldn't trust much of anything now. Life was harsh.

Yuma

Yuma backed away from the dead sheep, thinking that's what Aava wanted. He yelped when the wolf leapt, and his heart was still racing when he saw Espirit stop her mother. He nodded to the daughter, then looked at Aava. "I don't mean any harm. I'm just a nomad is all. My name is Yuma." He said, still feeling adrenaline rush through his body.

Aava & Esprit

Aava stood there now, eyes glaring with hatred. Then abruptly, she turned-tail and stalked away with a low stance. One would never think of her being an alpha at first glance half the time. Wherever Aava was, you could almost always expect Esprit to be. Esprit was her caretaker, the one who kept her out of most trouble. Personally, Esprit wanted to be rid of it all. All the burdens her mother began to bring her, the time she was costing her. The one reason she couldn't find a mate. Her mother had lived, and now she was holding Esprit back.

Sighing, Esprit simply gave another nod. How she wished to break away. It wasn't that she didn't like Aava, but it was such trouble. She was probably worse than a batch of pups altogether. "Well, I can allow you to stay, not on my mother's behalf. Poor her..." she stated, tilting her head a bit. "I'm Esprit by the way," she then added, snorting, "and that wolfess was my mother, Aava, alphess of these lands." Esprit knew she probably couldn't stick around for too long, for fear of her mother getting into something again. She'de need to track her all over again.

Yuma

Yuma sat down, but kept an eye on Aava. "Espirit...Nice name." He said. "Thank you for letting me stay. You don't know how much it means to me." He continued to watch Aava, though did not dare talk to her.

Esprit

Aava had since turned to leave the scene, obviously going off to another part of the land. Where? Esprit was the only one who could know.

She then turned her head back to the coyote, and gave a little nod. "No need for thanks, I just need to thank you for not exploding on my mother. She's not... Quite right these days." she stated, giving off a deep sigh at the end. Her mother was so strange. Esprit figured it would help if she just talked about what bothered her, but she never said a word. Nothing. Barely audible sounds were mostly what Esprit got, or else nasty words of hate and confusion. Esprit was full of anguish.
