Vivek, Bagre, & Eventine

Vivek loped into the land, tilted his head up and took in all the scents. He gazed over the many flowers, especially the Pyrolas which the terra was named after. He stopped near a small aspen tree and waited for the others.

Bagre came running in, panting hard with bits of grass and flowers matted into his fur. Eventine had tripped him along the way and easily passed by her larger brother. Charging past him, panting as well, she scooted to a stop by her father and plopped down in the grass to catch her breath. Bagre collapsed near her, with his chest heaving up and down to draw in the much needed air.

Vivek looked down at the two and smiled.

Tornado & Snowy Owl

Tornado appears a short time after the others, carrying Snowy Owl by her nape. He sets the youngster down by the aspen tree and sets back on his haunches. "A very nice place you have here." The wolf comments to his son, "And so close to our old home." He gives a sad smile.

Snowy Owl waddles over to Eventine and Bagre and sniffs at them. Her tail wags a bit before stopping as she sits down. So many new wolves!

Aava & Esprit

Aava dashed in, panting. Her sides heaved as she took in every breath. That run was fun, despite the tiredness. She slowed down and padded over to Vivek, her nose taking in all the old familier scents. She stopped and sat back on her haunches next to him, watching their pups with a grin. But then she turned her head to look at Vivek, "So, what about this hunt? The pups haven't been on one yet. This may be a good time to start their training."

Esprit seemed to fly into the terra, the place so dear to her. She was panting hard, wanting to take in all the air she possibly could to keep herself from collapsing in the heat. She skidded to a sharp halt next to her brother and sister. She sat back on her haunches and watched them, her sides still going out and in with every breath. She had a smile etched onto her maw as she looked to Bagre and Eventine. "I hope we can go on the hunt!" she yipped out, tail thumping the ground.

Vivek, Bagre, & Eventine

He nodded, "It will be good experience for them. I'll bet the Game Trails will be filled with prey this time of year, too." He pointed out and looked to Snowy Owl for a moment. She was too young to go on the hunt, but an idea came to him. Once more he turned to his mate, "There is another wolf, my grandfather... would it be alright if he stayed here as well? He hurt himself recently during a fall. But he would make an excellent pup-sitter." Vivek laughed a bit, "It's like a family reunion here!"

Bagre jumped up, his eyes beaming, "Yeah, this will be so awsome! I'm gonna catch a deer. What are you gonna catch?"

"You're not catching a deer Boggy." Eventine scoffed, calling him by a nick-name she recently come up with. "Not by yourself, anyway."

Aava & Esprit

Aava nodded, "I don't see why he can't stay here. It would be alright." Then she glanced down to Snowy Owl. It was true that she was too young to go out on a hunt at this time. She could get hurt, or worse: possibly be killed. And that wouldn't be good. "I like family reunions, but my problem is that all my brothers and sisters are gone except my one brother Whitey, or that's what I call him. Ahhh, oh well. I've gotten over that already."

Esprit's tail wagged harshly as she listened to what was being said. She wanted to kill an animal, or at least help to kill one. "I'll help catch whatever anyone else catches!" she exclaimed, eyes full of excitement. She giggled at Eventine's words, looking from one wolf to the next.

Tornado & Snowy Owl

Tornado stood up, "I'll take Snowy Owl to the den and wait there until Peregrine arrives. I can follow your scent to the hunt." He offered, not wanting to keep everyone waiting on his daughter.

"Aw... dad!" The youngster began to protest, but Tornado grabbed her gently by the nape and hauled her off to the den site.

Vivek, Bagre, & Eventine

Vivek listened to his mate speak and nudged her once, sympathetically, "A brother? He'll have to pay a visit if he ever come to the Valley." The alpha suggested, then watched his father leave. Tossing back his muzzle, Vivek howled for Peregrine, telling him to go to the Den Site. Then he nodded to his family and headed for the Game Trails.

Eventine sprung up, "Yep, I'm going to help too! This will be so fun!"

Bagre rolled his eyes, "Uh huh, that's what you think. But I'm going to be a bigger help than you!"

Eventine shoved her brother, "Stop trying to be better then everyone else!" She went on to catch up with Vivek.

Bagre snorted, "I can't help it if I am."
