Anaru
The large brute has seated himself on the borderline of the packlands, close enough so that he is almost out of the no wolf zone. He raises his maw and calls out for someone.
Aava, Esprit
The alphess padded forth after hearing the call of a stranger. Her ears cast out to the sides and she stared with cold brown eyes. Clutched tightly in her jaws is one of her pups Esprit. Esprit growled at the stranger. Aava lowered her head to plop the pup on the ground. She stepped forward, being cautious. Her tail raised to show she was the alphess.
"What have you come for?"
Her voice was as cold as her eyes were. She stood her ground, waiting fo the reply of this unknown wolf.
Anaru
The large male dips his head so that it is lower than the alphess's respectfully, curling his tail close to his rump. He does not want to incur her wrath. He notes the pup, but does not take his eyes from Aava.
"I was searching for a pack."
Is his response, laden with all the respect in the world for the femme, but not weak.
Aava & Esprit
Aava ignored Esprit as her ears casted forward when he said pack. "A pack? You can join this one. I never reject."
She wondered about someting. Her eyes warmed up and so did her tone. She didn't carry the cold tone or have that same coldness in her eyes when she talked to pack members or friends. Her ears casted outward again.
"One question. Can you hunt, fight, or pup sit? I need to know so you can take a position in the pack."
She sat back on her haunches and waited for his reply. Esprit start getting restless and she toppled over.
Anaru
Smiles lightly at the other wolf, tail tapping against the ground a little. The brute nods a little, his ears pitched forward as much as they can now, listening to all of what his alphess says to him. Anaru responds just as before to Aava.
"I can do all three. Whatever you ask me to do." He moves forward a little to be across the borderline into the territory, now, but reseats himself as soon as he is across.
Aava
Aava taped Esprit. The pup moves and runs away. Aava sighed with relief when she left. It was about time she had some time to herself and others.
"Well... Let's see... We don't really need a hunter or pup sitter. My brother and me have hunting taken care of. My brother can pup sit, but we do need a warrior. Since that is more of a "part-time" job, you can choose to be either hunter or pup sitter."
She loked at him with much warmer eyes. She usually did better when she said her thoughts aloud. She waited again for his next answer.
Anaru
Anaru looks thoughtful after her words, definitely more relaxed than he was before. The brute's ears have been cast halfway back in his state of thought. The wolf is a good hunter, he has had to provide for himself many times now. But he also likes pups, happy to be with them and knows that the femmes enjoy time away from the babes. The black and grey wolf tilts his auds back up, in a forward position.
"I would gladly watch over your pups when there is a need for it, but I much like to hunt." He states, going to a middle ground. Whenever he is not needed for the hunt, he'll stay with the pups, and vice versa. The brute wags his tail. He's not much for making split second decision about rank and office.
