Zahm

A mix-breed dog, hued black as wet coal, sprints into the territory, panting. He was smaller than the average male wolf, but not by a whole lot. His coat was raggled and unkept, and boar the stench of humans and the kennels where he had lived his life. His paws were large, as was his head and blunt snout. He had only a stub of a tail, and floppy ears. This dog didn't know much about the ways of wolves.

Yet Zahm had in him the blood of working dogs, and was very loyal. Though he might not appear it, he carried a high level of intelligence. His days in the kennels allowed little room for using his brains, and therefore weren't fine-tuned; especially in the area of problem solving and survival.

Zahm'z keen nose could easily pick up Silver's scent, and he knew he was in the right place. He also picked up Firefly's scent, but no others. The dog sat back on his haunches, and waited to see if Silver would come.

Silver

+ The wolf sprinted into the pack, limbs spreading out when he ran, his form keeping low to the ground. He began to slow, and halted altogether when he saw Zahm. His tail was swaying aout behind him when he ran, but now swished up into rank, and his lifted his head. +

+ He was panting heavily, and his eyes were glittering with tryumph. He sat down and watched Zahm for a moment before speaking, his head tilted to one side and his pelt ruffled in the wind. +

~I have rules, if you want to stay here.~

+ He waited for an answer, even though he had made a friend of this wolf, he was a leader, and would rarely show his feeling towards another, especially one in his ranks. +

Zahm

His stubby tail wagged back and forth... though it couldn't be seen. "I will be sure to follow all your rules. I owe my freedom to you." he listens patiently to hear the rules.

Silver

+ He nodded slowly, then spoke, his vocie brittle yet not unfeeling +

~While you are here, I am God, Firefly is my jesus and you are an angel. What I say goes, any arguments between anyone in my apck you bring it to me.~

He paused for a moment and allowed himself a small smile.

~You can hunt when you like, and go where you like. If anyone who is not a member of the pack enteres without showing submission, you can attack them.~

He watched Zahm closely for a moment, then his smile widened.

~Got all that?~

Zahm

He nods, "Yes, I understand. And thank you again for freeing me!" His stub tail waved quickly a second time, but again, wasn't visible. A smile showed his striking ivories aginst his black maw, and he turned to further explore his new home.
