Ili trotted into the lands and knickered a calm, quiet call, 'I was wondering if there was room in your herd for me?' She lowered her head as she awaited the leader's approach.
It had been a good while since Crush had seen the great black stallion, Galliant, who led the lands... or anyone for that matter and being alone in such a large territory was beginning to bring her down. She was wondered with a bit of fearful curiosity what would happen to her if Parnassian Meadows was invaded. Would Galliant still be there to protect her?
These endless thoughts were racing through the mare's mind when she heard a soft call. Raising her head and with a snort, she blinked her dark brown eyes at a painted figure in the distance. The call was much too soft to have been male but still, her heart pounded in her breast, though she told herself there was nothing to fear. She stepped out at a carefully measured stride, neck arched and crimped tail whisking at her hips. She neared the unfamiliar mare with a whicker of greeting and a curious flick of her ears. Crush relaxed when she saw the mare was still young and apparently was still quite new.
"I'm sure there is room for you here, the herd is small. But Galliant would be the one to have final say on that, though I see no reason why he wouldn't let you join."
Nodding her head with a smile, she wondered again where the stallion was... but there was little else she could do other than hope he returned soon from where ever he had went.
"I'm Crush, if you are wondering."

Ili smiled as she looked to this mare before her. Greeting her again with her gentle voice, "I have just come to these lands, my name's Iliana, but evryone called me Ili and I've tken a liking to that name. May I cross the border or should I await the King?" She asked in her good-natured way as she flicked her tail happily. It was nice to meet another horse, Ili had been getting quite lonely. Ili rested her eyes on this mare, she seemed friendly enough and by the way she talked of the King, he seemed friendly as well.
"I think it'd be okay for you to come on in. I don't know how long it'll be before Galliant returns and I wouldn't want you to wait."
Nodding grimly, the Curly mare tried to hide the small amount of doubt in her mind, wanting desperately to cling to the hope that the king of the terra was only on a short mission and that she was there to hold the place together and to keep the herd intact during his absence.
Tilting her head to the side, Crush blinked quizzically at Ili for a moment, seeming to be in thought but quickly shook her head to clear her mind. A light and cold wind stirred, brushing through the curls of the mare's mane. But as she breathed in, rather than just the mare in front of her, she scented someone else. Then came a shrill whinny. The mare's mottled ears flipped forward as she looked in the direction the call had come from before looking back to the young mare.
"Sounds like another horse. Wanna come with me to see who it is?"
"That would be lovely." Ili said as she smiled at the mare before her, she could trust her, she could sense it. "Lead the way." Ili laughed as she pawed the ground again waiting for her to take the lead.
