Gwen

Gwen had led Aakari to the border of the Parnassian Meadows. She stood there for a moment or two, analyzing what scents she could to learn about the pack. It seemed of decent size, though clearly not the mega-pack it had been at one point. Being unfamiliar with Crucifix's scent, Gwen wasn't sure if it was him she was scenting, or some other canine. Either way, she turned her broad muzzle toward the heart of the territory and howled, letting the leaders know she sought their audience.

Crucifix

Crucifix ears flicked at the howl. His pups were almost a year old now. Stay with your auntHe said before moving in the direction of the howl. He saw the two at his boarders. Ones scent he recognized the other he did not. The older brute moved oward them tail up. How may I help you?He said.

Aakari

Aakari kept her tail high to signify her rank, but lowered her head in deference to Crucifix when he arrived. "My name is Aakari, daughter of Aakasi and Nasl, leader of the Silver Glades." She began with a formal introduction before delving straight into the matter at paw, "I've come to you in hopes of securing an alliance. My daughter was attacked by a large cat of unknown heritage, and my friend here-" Aakari nodded her head towards Gwen, "-her pack suffered an attack by large felines as well, a few seasons back. We wish to gain your help should we be attacked again, and of course you would have our help whenever you needed it."

Gwen

Despite being less than half the size of either of these wolves, Gwen stood with the confidence of an alpha on equal footing, and like Aakari, had her tail proudly hoisted above her back, while her dial was kept respectfully lowered in Crucifix's presence.

"And I'm Gwen, daughter of Dixie and Argolis, alpha of the Shadow Lurkers. What Aakari says is true. Our pack suffered three losses to the cats in an unprovoked attack, including one of my own daughters." The brindle wolfdog explained, her words brisk and to the point, without letting her emotions get the better of her. "The Lurkers offer their full support to the Parnassian Meadows if an alliance is accepted."

Crucifix

He listened to the both of them without interrupting. Alliances would be nice but big cats were a threat and his little pack wouldn't be much use against them. Not any more. The big animals who use to be with him had just up and vanished. His tail twitched as he thought it over. Fine you have our alliance however even if we do come to your aide if it looks like my pack any of them will loose their life in a fight I will pull them back from the fight if I canHe said watching both of them for their reactions.

Aakari

"I have no plans of getting into a fight that I feel we can't win." Aakari assured, "We will reciprocate the loyalty you show us." Discreetly, the pale alphess scented the wind, trying to determine just how many lived here. Some scents clung to Crucifix, but she couldn't be sure just how many individuals these odors represented.

Feeling that asking about his pack size was a little too upfront, Aakari chose to share first, "My pack consists of my mate, three grown children, and my grandmother, Sweetclover. It's not a large family, but you have our support when its needed. That includes assistance in securing food, and safeguarding any allies that need protection."

Gwen

Gwen nodded to her new ally, "In these uncertain times, one cannot be too careful. I understand your concern for your family, and I wouldn't expect you to put their lives in danger for any mission of vengeance. And as Aakari says, you can expect help from us in the form of fangs and food."
