Sideskill & Others

The weather was getting colder again, much to Sundown's dismay, but Sideskill was actually looking forward to it. Unlike his brother, the ruddy colored big cat loved the snow, and was ecstatic to be part of a pride again, especially one that lived out in a more open land like this one. Perhaps it was the lion in his blood, but something about the open spaces really appealed to Sideskill.

Rather than enjoying the spacious meadows at the moment however, Sideskill was busy being mobbed by his own children, and one of his nieces. Sunhdash and Chawn were taking turns trying to catch and hold down their father's tail as he switched it this way and that. Spotlight was tugging at his sparse mane, and Xhalia was squalling and trying to free herself from underneath Sides' giant paw. The youngsters had all learned that Sideskill was much more tolerant of their antics than his brother Sundown was, though they had also learned that the big cat was just as likely to play back. And he was much stronger than any of them were right now, as Xhalia was finding out.

Hades

Hades Wondered where his father was. Sundown, he knew his fathers name quiet well now. Six months of age and he was getting muscled and brawny. He sat near his uncle but ignored them.

Eragorn was the largest of his litter and is a grayish tan in color with faint rossettes. Course his tail was bulky and big and poofy which was what was entertaining him.

Ingska was tan with the mountain lion face and markings of the mountain lion. The rest of her was african lion. She was hiding in the long grass watching her father and siblings intently wiating for the opputune moment to pounce.

Sideskill & Sundown

"Let up, let up!" Xhalia squalled again, wiggling and twisting beneath the massive paw that held her firmly against the ground. All she got back for her troubles with the Cheshire grin from her father, "What's the fun in that?" He returned, and Xhalia glowered back at him, before his chuffing laughter got the better of her and she giggled back.

Sunhdash pounced at Sides' tail, pinning the ruddy-red appendage to the ground with her paws. A rumble rolled through her as she pretended the tail was a deer that needed to be slain, and as such, she proceeded to bite and maul at it. To Sideskill's credit, he tolerated the uncomfortable sensation of little teeth gnawing through his fur, and continued to be quite the role-model dad.

Chawn eventually lost interest in this and started to stalk away from his sire. Spotting Hades, Chawn sunk down into a crouched position with his belly close to the earth. Then he began to slink forward, intent on pouncing on his unsuspecting cousin... only Chawn didn't realize that he was stalking right past the hidden Ingska...

Far away from all this commotion, Sundown was lounging on a shallow hill, enjoying what little warmth he could get from the elusive sun.

Hades

Hades ear twitched when Chawn began approaching him but he ignored as he finally spotted his father in the distance and began stalking that way.

Eragorn soon laid down.

Ingska paused when Chawn passed her and then when she thought her father wasn't looking burst out and leaped for his scruff.

Sideskill & Others

Chawn still had no idea that he had stalked right past the hidden Ingska. Thankfully his sister had no intentions of pouncing on him, which allowed the young cub to continue stalking after Hades. Closer and closer he got, shoulders pulsing with ever slinking step he took, while his ears laid flat against his tan skull. When Hades was about five yards away from Sundown, Chawn made his move by rushing forward and springing at his cousin to tackle him to the ground...

Meanwhile, Sideskill was still being mauled by his children and nephew. Chawn was soon replaced by Ingska as the female latched into his scruff, on the opposite side from where Spotlight was tugging at the thin mane. Sides gave a low, rumbling roar in mock anger, then stood and shook himself off, trying to dislodge all the cubs...

Hades

Hades knew he was being followed and his ears twitched at the very moment Chawn sprung and he ducked down and huffed at him before continuing on.

Ingska growled and then yelped as she fell off as he stood up.

Mufasa was now in site as well as Scar the two brothers patrolling the area.

Sideskill & Others

Chawn ended up landing on the ground with a mouthful of grass after his failed pounce. No to be deterred so easily, he picked himself up and bounced after his cousin with a playful growl to try and leap on his hindquarters and drag him to the ground.

The cub's growls were heard by Sundown nearby. As the big male couldn't be bothered to open an eye, he merely swiveled one of his ears towards the pair, and went on with his nap.

When Sideskill got up, Xhalia was able to free herself from her father's paw. She scurried back a few steps, then started to race around behind him so that she could attack a hind paw, or perhaps join her sibling in chewing Side's tail. Meanwhile, Sunhdash had fallen off the big cat's neck along with Ingska, but jumped up just as soon as his feet were beneath him, and tried to grab a hold of the male's mane. Sideskill took a playful swipe at Ingska, hard enough to bowl her over if he hit her.

Hades

Hades knew he was coming again. The young six month old spun around and growled and lunged at his cousin alittle more aggressivly then normal.

Eragorn heard the growls and noises and grunted as he laid down to nap.

Ingska was about to run at him again when his paw whacked her and she rolled right over. She hopped back up and lunged for his paw that hit her.

Scar and Mufasa both heard hades and Chawn. Both knowing the differance in play turned to head in the two cubs directions.

Sideskill & Others

As the runt of the litter, Chawn wasn't quite prepared for the aggressiveness that Hades reacted with. The smaller cub was knocked backwards with a harsh 'ooof!' as he hit the ground. "Hey, that's too rough!" He rumbled, and tried to smack his cousin across the face with his paws, to get him to back off. He didn't notice Scar and Mufasa traveling their way.

Sideskill was made of tough enough stuff that he didn't grimace or complain when Ingska's tiny teeth bit against his large paw. "You guys are going to have to try harder if you want to win this fight." He yanked his paw back and swatted her again. Seeing this, Spotlight decided to help his cousin by springing over attacking his uncle's paw.
