Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya led the small group of lions. They were new to the area and looking for a place to call their own. Each of them had their own story. Adanya had been brought here from Africa when she was a little more than a young adolescent by the black market. Then she had been rescued and bought by a zoo. This is where in time she had met the others of their small pride. Since she was the oldest who had not been sold off before the zoo had been condemned and shut down, she had become like their leader. They had been traveling for some time looking for more of their kind. Then she had heard the distant roar of what sounded like a large male of their species. At hearing that the largest of the females led the group to the outskirts of the lands, careful not to pass the scent markers while she waited, others would catch their scent on the air since it was blowing past them and into the territory, so she opted to just wait without making a call to the others...

Hondo was one of the youngest of the group, and the only male. Though, he was not objecting to follow after the older females. He stopped a few steps behind them when they all stopped.

Eshe was the youngest of the group, a young female who was just barely weaned when she had been bought by the failing zoo. They had thought that the young cub would bring in revenue but it hadn't been enough. She bounced around beside the older females asking Where are we going? Are we there yet? about every two seconds.

Denisha had been a neglect case, someone had bought her as a cub to be a pet. This was out of pure stupidity and it hadn't ended well for the lioness. She was near death when she had been found and taken into the zoo. Though, she had gained weight well, despite staying slightly smaller than a normal lion her size should be due to her lack of proper nutrition as a cub and through her adolescence. She was a picture of health now, though. The lioness was walking beside Eshe, keeping an eye on the young one, assuring her they would be where they were headed soon.

Bahiti was the one who really stuck out amongst the lionesses. She was a pure white lion, something that wasn't exactly common. Though, she had found her spot in this small pride and continued to move with them. Once they reached the borders, she lowered her rump to the ground to wait for someone to approach.

Sarabi & Nala

Sarabi and Nala were lying down babysitting the whole lot of cubs while the others were hunting. The two males were talking with another so it was up to her to confront these lionesses. She left Nala alone with all the cubs and the ten year old female proceeded toward the group. Her lower jaw slightly lowered as she approached. She had plenty of scars. They had always been wild and the males of her pride were the only new ones.. Greeting I am Sarabi who are you and what do you want?With cubs not too far off she was protective and down to buisness particularly cause there was a young male with them.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Unlike the lionesses here, none of these lions were related in any way. Though, they had formed something like a family group since they had no one else. And lions tended to be very social. Adanya was the one who spoke when asked what they wanted and who they were. I am Adanya. We have been kept by the humans in a cage not far from here but have escaped. We are all looking for a home. The others are Denisha, Bahiti, Hondo, and Eshe. She indicated each of them as she introduced them and told her of their business here.

Hondo was not an aggressive male by any means, he was more of a goofy clown rather than an aggressive type. Sure, in time he would grow into a great protector but his pride would be his family and he would never harm them. He really would never be a dominant type. He flicked his tail as he waited for their judgement.

Eshe saw the other young cubs and it was easy to tell that she was excited. Her warm chocolate eyes looked over to them as she attempted to run over to them to play.

Denisha saw the other cubs as well and then saw Eshe's reaction. She was quick to stop the young one when she tried to wonder over the borders. Eshe, you must wait. We have to be invited in before we cross the borders.

Bahiti watched the cubs and the others as she waited to see if they would be welcomed in to the pride or not...

Sarabi

Sarabi watched them all. Her tail flicking side to side. She listened to the others words. The two leggers had kept them caged. She wasn't sure whether they should allow them in or not but she would give them a chance and in doing so she turned and walked away giving only a flick of her tail to say they could join. Mufasa and Scar wouldn't care so long as the cubs were safe. She rubbed up against her eldest daughter who was only two years younger then her.She then laid down near the cubs. THis is Nala, The Cubs are Ryojo, Ryak,She nodded to her two 8 month old cubs

She nodded toward the two oldest at 10 months. THey are Jasmine and Laya

Then the two six months olds Shakla & Mark

Next were two two month olds Markus & VIctor

The one four month old Solo

Then toward five five month olds that were a bit darker in color. Mary, Jenny, Syzon, Rak and Mojo

Then to Six two month olds. Tanner, Taylor, Tyra, Tessa, Coko and Markisto

The other females are off hunting their named Mwaya, Ulaya, Chantell, Shayla, and Natalia and the two males are Scar and Mufasa

She didn't know about the new hybrids yet.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya was the only one in their little group that had actually been in the wild and in a true pride as an adolescent. That was while she handled most of the introductions and everything that would be the difference between being accepted or turned away. When they were invited in, she followed and nodded for the others to do so as well. She took in all of the names, trying to add them all to her memory, though it would be difficult to remember so many in such a short time.

Hondo more or less bounced across the borders. Two of the cubs were the same age as he himself was, at ten months old. Though, he was large for his age, he hoped that he could make friends with these other young ones.

Eshe literally did bounce over the borders when she was given the ok. She ran right up to the other cubs, a few were her age, being two months old. Yet, she didn't have her mother around to teach her the proper way to do things. Of course, the other females in their group tried but none of them had ever had cubs of their own, so it wasn't quite so easy. Hi! You guys want to play?!?

Denisha moved to the side to allow the young cub to enter the territory when they were given ok. She was glad to be somewhere that she could try to make a home for herself. She moved in and looked over all of the others, she had always loved cubs.

Bahiti followed the others silently over the borders. She was the shy one of the group, the quiet one. This was due to the fact that she knew she was different. She knew that she wasn't like the others. Her reflection in the water was not like theirs. Though, she would open up in time if she was shown acceptance.

Sarabi

Sarabi laid there no basking in the sun. Her tail flicking side to side and her mouth opened panting. Her ears flicked every now and then.

Ryoko and Ryak two 8 months old went to their mother and began nursing.

Jasmine and laya had wanted to go on todays hunt but had been turned down because of their antics last time that they had been invited along. So they watched these new commers particularly the male their age. They crouched down low in the grass and then bolted at him. Not aggressivly but they wanted to hunt so why not use the new boy as their target.

Markus and Victor along with the other two months olds had just recently joined the pride their mothers having formed a nursery till then. They eyed the youngfemale cub who bounded over them warily. They ran and hid behind Nala soon after.

Solo who was four months old but had been in the two month olds nursery however moved over and aimed to tackle her.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya lowered herself so that she was laying amongst the other two females. Finally she felt almost at home again. Sure, this was not the African savanna but at least it wasn't a cage that was made by humans either. Here she could be a lion again and not just lounge around while waiting for the humans to throw her the next meal. This is what she had longed for for so long.

Hondo had never been hunting in his life, he had been bred in captivity and had never known life on the outside. He liked it, though. There were so many others who were close ot his age that he could play with! The two oldest cubs crouched and then bolted at him. He jumped like a house cat might as they both reached him, though he didn't attempt to get away, only swatted at the other two playfully. He was very much like a house cat due to the fact he was raised to be more gentle and domesticated. He knew nothing of how to act in the wild. But, he wanted to play.

Eshe let out a little sound of disappointment as two of the cubs bolted away from her as she tried to get them to play. Then her excitement was renewed as she saw the older cub come up to her. Though, she was unable to move quick enough to avoid his tackle and was flung to the side. She rolled a time or two then jumped up and moved back to the male, biting at him in a cute playful manner.

Denisha continued to watch the cubs intently. The lion equivalent of a smile was in her eyes. She definitely wanted cubs of her own some day and wouldn't mind taking up a rank as one of the babysitters of this pride, since her small size would probably prevent her from doing hunting as well as some of the others.

Bahiti lay down beside Adanya as the older female had lay down to sun herself. The oldest of the females had always been the one that had made her feel the most comfortable in the group. So, she was the one that she stuck to the most closely.

Jasmine, Laya & Solo

Jasmine growled playfully as he leaped and spun around to attempt to tackle him. Laya slowed to a walk.

Solo growled playfully as he bit and swatted at him.

Nala heard the call of the other half of the pride and called back. Rubbing once against Sarabi she moved off with most of the cubs following. Course thats when Mufasa and Scar were seen heading the same way. The cubs and the two males would of course eat first.

Mufasa had seen the new group but was only wary of the young male but for now he could remain. When Natalie gave out the call that they had caught something he and scar left the new male and headed in that direction immediatly chasing the females that were already eating away before settling down to eat. They allowed the cubs to join him. Though that little male most definitly would not be invited to eat right now.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya heard the call from another lioness and seeing the others getting up and remembering what had gone on when she had been in her old pride, she knew that the pride had caught a meal for everyone to share. Though, she also knew that them, being new, would be at the bottom of the food chain. She made sure to tell the others this as they followed the rest of the pride. Though, she kept her distance from the meal.

Hondo wasn't thinking about food right now, he was just excited that he could find some new friends. So, when the others left, he stayed behind in hopes that the two he was playing with would do so as well. The one attempted to tackle him and he managed to dodge out of the way almost in time, only receiving part of the force then turning around to tackle her, deciding that he should try to play like they did.

Eshe's little tummy grumbled at the mentioning of food. She was starving! So, when the others walked up and kept their distance, the little cub threw caution to the wind and bounced right up to the meal and began to eat hungrily.

Denisha followed the group to the kill, keeping her distance as she had been instructed. She shook her head slightly as the little one completely disregarded what Adanya had told them, though she just waited to see how the rest of the pride would react, maybe they would allow one so young to join with their own young?

Bahiti followed closely behind Adanya, making sure not to step out of line and not to be too noticeable amongst the group.

Mufasa

Mufasa stuck to the old rules of pride life and he scar and the cubs ate first. Then the others figured out their own eating order. He watched the unknown cub bound up but allowed her to eat it was after all a very large moose.

Jasmine gruned and dodged and took off for the meal. She knew soon that the males would not allow her and her sister to feast first. They were getting too big to be considered cubs. But she moved up to the hind end and began eating laya beside her.

Scar ate his eyes on the young male who was playing with Laya.

Solo too ran for the meal.

Sarabi watched sitting the closest to the meal yet not touching it.

Nala and Natalie were right behind their mother grooming as they waited.

While the rest were further back waiting.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya continued to wait, knowing that if this was anything like the pride she had been in before, then the young would be allowed to eat with the males, so Eshe should be ok. If not then she would step in to protect the young one if needed. She relaxed slightly as she saw them accept the young one.

Hondo was enjoying playing with Laya, though soon she was bounding off and toward the meal. He stayed where he was, not sure what the animal was since all he had eaten before had been chunks of meat that had been given to him by the humans.

Eshe was not far from the huge lions as she ate. She showed no fear in them, though. It was obvious that she feared very little. Surely this could get her into trouble sometimes but that was the way that she was. Soon, she was full and she made her way back to her 'family'.

Denisha hung back, watching as the males and cubs ate. She was glad to see that the cubs got first dibs on the meals, since they were the ones that needed it the most. Her tail flicked as she just watched all of the young ones, glad to be in a pride with so many.

Bahiti waited patiently until she was given the ok to eat. She was starving but she had been told to wait and that was what she would do...

Mufasa

Once Mufasa and Scar were full most of the cubs were as well. He moved over to inspect the new females. He wasn't really one for talking and his tail flicked and his lower jaw was hanging open as he approached the one that seemed to be the oldest.

Scar too moved to investigate the females and moved toward Bahiti.

Sarabi and the females moved into eat.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya stayed where she was as the other lionesses who had been here longer made their way over to the kill. The lions made their way to where she and her small group still waited. The first approached her and she spoke. I would like to thank you for letting us be part of the pride. I am Adanya. The ones who have followed me here are Denisha, Bahiti, Hondo, and Eshe. She introduced herself and the others once again, indicating each one since she thought the males should know them all as well.

The young male lion now moved up to join the rest of his group that had come here, there was nothing even remotely threatening about his mannerisms as he lay down near Denisha and began to bat at his own tail as it flickered against the ground.

Eshe moved over to Denisha and lay down against the small female, staying close to her in order to take a nap.

Denisha looked to the two young ones who had traveled with them as they approached her. She purred gently as the little one lay against her for comfort and watched with a protective eye as the little one drifted quickly off to sleep.

Bahiti wasn't sure how to react as the two males approached her and Adanya. She had tried to remain as invisible as possible and not to draw attention. Though she figured it would be best to follow Adanya's lead and spoke in shy tones. Yes, thank you.

Mufasa

Mufasa moved around the female pressing his face right against her in different places.Mufasa and he's scarWas all he said in response. He was more so seeing if any of them were in season.

Scar just did the same as his brother.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya nodded at the mentioning of their names. Then she just allowed them to sniff her and such, knowing that she had seen this ritual as a young adolescent with her old pride, though he would find that she was not in season.

Hondo just continued to lay there playing with his tail and ignoring the others.

Eshe continued to sleep.

Denisha sat there while the males both sniffed her all over, she was indeed in heat.

Bahiti was coming into season, though she was a little uncomfortable with all of the attention of being sniffed she remained still like Adanya had done...

Mufasa

Mufasa knew one or two of them were in scent and sure neither of the two were laying there scent around saying they were ready but he would do what came naturally to him and when he was by Denisha his lip lifted in a flaming response and soon he huffed at her and rubbed against her trying to coax her away from the group where he would then attempt to breed with her.

Scar too used it on Bahti and he huffed at her and nudged her hoping that she would be receptive.

Denisha and Bahiti

Denisha wasn't sure what the male was doing. Having grown up in a situation where she had been a pet, breeding had never been anything that had happened to her nor had she ever even been in contact with a full grown male lion, Hondo had been the only male she had come into contact with her whole life and he was still a cub. Though, it seemed as if the male was trying to separate her from the others. Slowly and slightly reluctantly she moved off with him.

Bahiti still was not sure of all of the attention that she was getting when she felt the male nudging her, trying to get her away from Adanya. She wasn't sure why but she looked to the older female for guidance. The older female nodded and with that simple sign of encouragement Bahiti walked off with Scar.

Mufasa

Mufasa was only thinking of one thing right now and that was siring more cubs. When the others vanished from site he attempted to mount and a breed her. If she allowed him he would do this a few times before rubbing once against her and moving back toward the pride bellowing out warnings to trespassers.

Scar did the same thing with Bahiti.

Denisha and Bahiti

Denisha did not fight Mufasa. Instead she just allowed him to do as he wished then when he moved back towards the pride, she followed.

Bahiti attempted to move away from the male, though she was unable to. Finally she gave into her instincts. Though, when Scar left to go back to the pride she remained, only for a few seconds to give him space to return before she followed.

Scar

Scar didn't force her he just kept coexcering her to allow it by rubbing against her and following her. Now he moved back and laid down at the edge of the pride and like his brother began roaring to warn off intruders. They were a strong pride and when all the cubs were grown minus the males of course they would be large.

Denisha and Bahiti

Denisha did not follow to the edge of the pride, instead she now moved over to the kill that was nearly devoured. It seemed that everyone else had already eaten so that only left the scraps for herself and Bahiti. She was fine sharing with the other female, though. She moved in to begin to eat what was left, though there wasn't much after the large pride had finished.

Bahiti had moved back into the center of the pride where she saw Denisha had already approached the kill. She too approached it and began to pick from what had been left behind.

Sarabi

Sarabi knew now that the pride had grew they would have to either hunt larger game or hunt for more then one kill.

The cubs were all sleeping.

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Adanya also knew that more hunting would be necessary soon. So, she decided to venture out to see what she could find. She knew that there were animals around here that could easily be taken down by a single lioness, especially a large one such as herself. She would not make a kill right now, just scout to see what was available.

Hondo had fallen asleep curled up with Eshe.

Eshe continued to sleep.

Denisha finished off what she could of the moose before there was only bones left. Being small it didn't take as much to fill her up. She wasn't hungry any more so she made her way over to the large group of lions.

Bahiti was still pretty hungry after finishing what she could from the carcass. She decided to go out on her own and find more food. As she walked silently, she spotted a young doe. She began to stalk the animal. Once she was close enough, she pounced and made quick work of the much smaller animal. She then drug it back to the pride so anyone else who was still hungry could eat more as well. She began to eat her fill, though.

Mufasa

Mufasa saw the kill Bahiti made however lucky for her he was too full to care and he just lay on his side.Everyone else was either sleeping, grooming or just resting

Adanya, Hondo, Eshe, Denisha, and Bahiti

Bahiti finished off all that she could manage to eat before leaving the rest there for the others if they wanted it. If not then she had at least gotten her fill.
