Devil May Cry

The death hewn brujo padded toward his borders with an air of annoyance. Hell, he'd shown up to the meeting but everyone seemed to go quiet out of nowhere. He was as patient as he could be. Now the patience was over. Canary ooids glanced around, a strange scent taken into account as he reached his borders and crossed right over without a backward glance. As soon as the first paw landed on the grounds of Parnassian, he immediately felt at home. But he wasn't soothed by the notion, far from it. Something was amiss, he could feel it. The tension in the air clung to his bones like meat. He wanted to scream "what the hell is going on here?" but for some odd reason, that seemed rude to him. No, better to find the first wolves he came across and ask of them. He would get to the bottom of this, you could be damn sure of that.

Appendages worked like clockwork, gracing his chassi with an elegant jog as he went further into Parnassian, breathers still twitching, working their sensors to take in any fresh scents of his other pack members. He came across a strangely familiar smell in the air and stopped, his whole body tensing. A picture of a young female lupine appeared in his mind. He shook his pate roughly, trying to get rid of the image. No, it couldn't be her. Not here. Then he thought of Exile and Yarouchi and grimaced. Would they still be fighting over the coveted alphess position? What was so damn good about it, anyway? He just couldn't figure it. He was in no hurry to have a huntress at his side. He wasn't lonely. Sometimes he thought he wasn't capable of feeling that emotion anymore. Like it'd been beat out of him through his adult years.

He used to be a carefree teen, ready to play and growl harmlessly at the other wolves his age. He used to feel lonesome and want attention. He would trot (or rather parade) in front of the ladies. He used to be quite the charmer. Till he got his heart broke and after that, well, he just didn't give a damn after that. Then he became the assassin, using his spare time to hunt and boost his stalker abilities. He became a lethal killer. When he saw a femme, he avoided confrontation. Yet the alpha role seemed to come quite easily to him. He could look on faes now with dull interest. As friends. But did he feel intimacy with either of the spitfires raging for the throne? No, quite simply. Even as he bred to Yarouchi, he felt the pleasure, her pleasure, and knew it was for the good of his bloodline that it be continued on. But he felt no love now.

Two other scents jumped out at him and he continued his walk reluctantly. He almost regretted leaving the meeting early to come home now. Almost, but not quite. Could his siblings really have traveled all this way? He wanted to doubt it but those scents...he'd grown up around those scents all throughout his growing up stages. He knew them like the back of his paw. So the next question was, what would they want? If they expected to come here and just hop up to the second top positions just because they were blood, they'd have to think twice. Devil did not go soft for litter mates. He would treat them as any other wolves wanting his acceptance. Yep, including the submission. He felt a smirk pull at his scars slightly. He knew one of the twins, his brother, would love that one. But Devil would not sway. It was submit to the alpha or leave, no exceptions.

It'd be the same for the other wolf too. He tried to push away the image that sprung to his mind again. No, impossible. Let her go. He sighed softly, his only sign of vulnerability. But he couldn't show that. This wasn't the time or place. He was starting to sense wolves nearby now. Auditories pricked, bright flaxen luminaries focused on the clearing ahead as he continued forward. Plumage curved upward behind his flanks, a dominant position. He lifted his crown to the stance of alpha, letting it be clear who was in charge here. Limbs slowed to a walk now as he drew closer to the figures, nares twitching slightly. Pups. He smelled them. He'd forgotten Yarouchi would have already had her litter now. Auds flicked back at the unfamiliar smell on some of them. He'd heard that Exile had went to another brute. A soft growl rumbled in his chest. He had thoughts of killing those pups.

After all, it would only be natural. Most alpha males would want their females to come to them for breeding, not find another hunter. He'd have every right to execute them. Maybe even her too for her betrayal. But the poker face came back. He wouldn't betray his homicidal emotions for the others to see. He was good at hiding his emotions. He'd become quite practiced at it. Deciding not to announce his arrival to the others, he figured he'd slink out of the shadows as he liked to do, the silent assassin. His sunkissed tabiries would be the only things they'd see before hand, if they happened to be looking in the direction of his entry. Golden pools with red flakes. It would probably give away the surprise, since he was the only wolf he knew with such eyes, but hey, he couldn't be a stranger to everyone. His pads found a noiseless path as he came around the trees and out into the open, wondering who would be there waiting.

Yorouchi

Yorouchi had gone with Exile and Exile's Sister to the dissapearence place. They tried to get further down to no avail and she nor Exile was sure where it went. But hte pups hadn't come back and she knew something was wrong. Her pups would of responded and come back to her call. She walked beside Exile on the way back and snarled at Denalie and nipped her harshly again aiming to push her to the ground one last time before heading back to the group. As she got back to the group she saw Devil coming. She looked to Exile before moving to him.WE have a problem DevilShe growled slightly not at him. She glared at Denalie again and then back to Devil. Two of our pups pluse one of Exiles went with Denalie on a small trip to the tundra and they dissapeared and haven't come back. We tried to follow but the whole is too small and we can't get down far enoughSHe spoke. Her tail flicked to the side.

Bella stopped her playing with player when her mother returned. She whined as she watched her tell their father.

Ying and yang had finally found the area where the group was but they kept their distance grinning as they stared at their brother with cruel smirks.

Devil May Cry

As his black form stepped out into the clearing, another dark figure moved his way. Golden orbitals glanced up to see the slender Yarouchi padding toward him with murder in her eyes. Now he was definitely on guard. From what he knew so far of the dame, she didn't get worked up over nothing. The tip of his banner flicked a little in agitation since he didn't know what the trouble was yet. Midnight livids quivered, wanting so bad to pull back and reveal his pearlies to the rest of the wolves gathered here, if just to show his frustration. But knowing it would do no good, he instead narrowed his lids at the belle and waited for her to speak. And so she did. He was getting more pissed by the second. Claws immediately danced from their sockets, lappets laced back.

If there was one thing that would get Devil's blood boiling, it was danger to pups. Especially his pups, of his blood. He noted the glare she gave to Denial and looked over at the wolfess, slightly puzzled. Did she have something to do with it? The growl rumbled a little harder in his chest. His orbs said it plainly "If my children get hurt because of you, your life is mine." But he didn't want to dwell on that. He'd rather direct his anger to getting the pups safely back in Parnassian. Not that they didn't have punishment in store for them too. They were old enough to know better than leaving the territory. He valued independence, but they were taking it too far. Leaving Parnassian without an older wolf with you was prohibited for pups. He would be sure to make that clear once they were back and he made sure they were unharmed.

He thought through his options. If Yarouchi said none of them would fit then he certainly wouldn't. So he'd have to figure out something else. He couldn't just put up billboards with their pictures on it saying there was a reward for their return. Besides, his only reward for the fool who brought them in would probably just be death, as pissed as he was. He wouldn' have patience for a story on how they just found the pups wandering around on their own. He wanted someone to blame, someone to have to kill. Maybe it was the frustration of how the meeting had gone. Maybe it was just Devil being himself. His gilded pools happened to glance down at the pups Bella and Player. Bella he could tell was his. Player was not. His orbs started to darken so he turned away, trying to hide the beast inside from the pups, not wanting to scare them. After all, this was his first time officially meeting his offspring. Best not ruin it.

Then his gaze found Ying and Yang, and he couldn't help but return their sadistic smirks. My foolish siblings, he thought. Ah, maybe they'd be able to add some humor to the situation. But no, Devil wasn't looking for humor. He was looking for a throat to rip out. So the smirk disappeared as quickly as it had come. He would speak to them later. Right now he wanted to find those pups. Visionaries returned to Yarouchi as she seemed to be the only one speaking right now. His gaze never lost it's hard cold surface as he spoke to the nymph. His words were loud enough for everyone to hear as it was directed to anyone. Is anyone small enough to fit through the hole? Are any scents detected around it? Familiar scents like it goes to another territory? I want a small party to come with me, show me the hole. We will investigate and find out where those cubs are. His voice was dark and matter of fact.

It was a reassurance to the fretting mothers and worrying pups. He would find those pups. It wasn't a matter of if, but a matter of when. And he would be sure to make it as soon as possible. Whipcord stayed arched up over his back, not meaning any aggression toward the wolves present before him, but aimed at any and all perpetrators who were or could be associated with the pups' disappearance.

Yarouchi

Yarouchi stood there and shook her head.No only a pup would be small enough, no scents drift up but theirs. Where ever it leads no one else is familar with it. We could go to an allie of ours and see if they have an adult creature like a lizard or snake that could check it outShe spoke her tail flicked. My brothers pack has plenty of creatures im sure he could spare one for a momentShe spoke. Her tail flicked. She then turned. I'll show you the holeShe spoke as she now moved toward the tundra.

Serena

Serena continued watching the pups, that is till she saw movement from the corner of her eye. Instantly she was upon her feet, pelt bristling, ready to challenge the unknown wolf, until she got a full look of him. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the wolf she thought she knew so well. Steadying herself, she calmed down, her curled tail hanging strait out, not in a threanting position. Orbs looked to Yorouchi, Denalie, and Exile before she moved closer to hear them speaking. She spoke softly at Devil's questions not sure how she would be welcomed at the moment. "My pups could fit through the tunnel. They could find out where they are, if we wait till dark it'll be harder to see Nyx and Selene, incase their is trouble about. They can locate them, or at least come back from where it looks like, and by the smell you can locate them." Her voice was a little hurried, but still understandable, so as to not take so long at a moment like this. She didn't realize she said my till a moment later, and she would of blushed if she was human. For she was so used to saying my, and besides he was the one who left, so why should he get a claim to them just yet? She waited for a answer her pale blue orbs watching him.

Nyx stood by her mother slightly infront of her mother's shoulder. Her saphire and red orbs looking at the black brute that she and her siblings somewhat resembled. Their was no mistake that this was their father, especially by the slightly familiar smell. Remaining quiet she waited, knowing that she and her sister just might be going on a mission. It would be fun, and she knew they could handle themselves, or so she figured. Besides knowing her brothers, they might ask to follow them into the tunnel, and wait there incase they need backup or something. One thing she hoped didn't happen, was that the other pups wouldn't want to try to play hero, and demand to come too.

Ares, a replica of his mother, except for his darker black eyebrows, stood at his mother's left, his shoulder below where his mother's stomach was. He did his best to ignore his father, but it just wouldn't work. He kept sneaking glances wondering what was the same about him and the brute standing not too far from him. He didn't look like him or have his build. Black orbs waited to see what would happen. Would they be accepted or chased away by their own blood?

A white and black figure approached slowly to stand to the side of his mother, facing all of them. Red orbs that matched his father's stared at him, but all he wondered was whether they would be allowed to go help his sisters, if they went, rescue the pups that were taken.

Devil May Cry

Yarouchi spoke and he found his auditories flicking to catch her words. So more pups would have to diappear down the hole. He didn't like the sound of that at all. Besides, how could they trust the pups to come straight back? They might think it an adventure, decide to stay and explore wherever the hell that cave went to. His blood was already at the boiling point. He started shifting his weight uncomfortably. He really wanted to tear something to pieces right now. As Yarouchi turned to leave, he finally took the time to let his ooids gather in the other figures here. HIs pack was smaller than most but he liked it that way. Not many packs would have almost every member gathered in one spot for an emergency like this. His did. It made the pack closer, more loyal.

Lappets flicked as he fully took in all the pups. There were actually many, of all shapes and sizes. Hearing another, softer voice, he turned his attention to the femme...and stopped breathing. No fucking way. Nares finally blew out a breath sharply, dial lifting as his muzzle snapped shut with an audible sound. Harks pinned before pricking full tilt toward Serena, taking her in like a dream. He couldn't believe it. Her...here. Pools narrowed and darkened, his heart hammering like a young pup, something it hadn't done in a long time. He shook his crown, snapping out of his reverie. He had to pull himself together, be the alpha he was meant to be. He couldn't go to pieces, especially not in front of everyone like this. Not in front of her.

Blowing out his breath again to regain composure, orbs unnarrowed, tip of whipcord flicking to and fro. He thougth again through the words she'd just said, feeling his crania dip in a formal greeting. He wouldn't let her see how she still got to him, even now. The few seconds in which he lost it would be her only clue. He'd be sure to be ready for it next time. When she spoke of her pups, he let his globes wander to the shadows at her paws. He counted five of them, older than the others. Some had the black and white coloring of their mother, but there was also a male with red eyes and a female that was pure black and looked identical to himself. Could they be? He shook his pate again, mystified. The ages would look right. Most of them had the wolf build.

He breathed deeply and looked back into Serena's visionaries, determined to keep his own cold and clear. Fine, but just those two. We can't afford to lose any of the other pups. And they must understand that this is not a game, they are to take the scent and memorize it then we'll take a walk through the borders later. That is it. No exploring. Then he turned his gaze on the others waiting. Yarouchi, Serena, her two pups for the job, and myself will be going to the tundra. No one else. Everyone else is to stay here, watch the other pups, and watch the borders for possible intruders. His pools found the only other adult male present, Camarin. I'm trusting you mostly with that last job. Then looking around again to make sure the others heard and understood, he turned his rump away and started toward the tundra on Yarouchi's heels.

Satan && Apollo

Satan turned at the shadow approaching them from the forest. His hackles immediately went up, lappets pinned as he stepped forward, fangs revealed from under his obsidian livids. But then he made out the massive black figure and shrank to half his size. He didn't know why and he wasn't a coward, but something in the male wolf's expression said death to whoever crosses him. In that moment Satan knew he was just a pup and would be dead in one pinky swipe of this boy's paw. He gulped and layed down on the ground right where he stood, too scared to move either back or to the side. His mother stepped forward and started speaking to the monster though and he started to undestand. This, his father? No way! He started crawling backwards on his stomach till he felt Bellatrix's warm body. He pricked his harks now, fully interested. As the brujo spoke, he took in the deep voice, memorizing it. Dad. He couldn't see himself ever calling this creature that. He seemed too..unnatural in his fury. Like he was ready to start killing and take names later. Yarouchi didn't seem fearful at all and Satan admired his dam for that. The hunter had a take charge attitude about him, even when he wasn't speaking though and Satan found himself instantly respecting him. He stood up on his tiny paws, disappointment washing through him. What? He couldn't go and help? He was pure black! They wouldn't see him with a magnifying glass! He went to step forward with some sudden courage to tell Devil this when the older titan fixed him with a glare that said "do not argue." He shrank back again, lowering his pate instantly as his lobes laced back in fear. Okay, he wouldn't try that again any time soon. He kept his anger inside, stealing a glance toward his older rival Apollo and smirked with a little self satisfaction. Well at least he wasn't going either. That gave Satan a little happiness. He glanced around to see the other pups' reactions to Devil.

Apollo felt himself tense as a dark menacing shadow padded out of the trees. At first he thought it was an intruder, here to take the lands while his father, as Serena called him, was gone. But then he took in the red flaked golden orbs and the dominant stance. Devil. It had to be. He felt his own globes widen some before he composed himself. So this was the big bad wolf. He had to admit, he was quite scary. But the other femora Yarouchi showed no fear as she stepped forward to speak. Apollo pricked his twins as Devil spoke, relief surging through him. He wasn't disappointed at all. He was wondering back in his mind how his father would be all this time and figured he wouldn't get what he expected. But Devil was everything he expected and more. He was tough, he was evil, he was alpha material, he knew how to get the job done. A tight frown appeared on his mug as Serena spoke to him about using Selene and Nyx. The girls? He could see the logic of course, they were mostly black while he was tainted with white. Still, he couldn't see them handling it that well. Still, he knew better than to argue with the alpha. It just seemed wrong, especially when the bronc could hold such a strict glare. He felt luminaries on him and side glanced at Satan and felt his frown deepen. The suddenly smug boy hadn't looked so happy earlier, when he was clinging to the ground for dear life in the approaching shadow of his own father. What a wimp. Apollo smirked back. He'd be sure to say something about it to the pup later. A sigh escaped his maw as the small group headed to the tundra.

Yarouchi

She growled slightly and shook her head at this plan. No, using pups should be out of the question. It would be best if someone who knows alot of scents goes down not a pup! No way, I will not let anyone risk a pups life Devil! Its out of the question. One quick howl and my brother will send someone who can fit trust me it will be betterShe spoke .Her tail twitched. She may be evil but she wasn't cruel. She wouldn't stand for the pups being used that way. When they got the scent it would not due to have those pups traveling with them they will just hold them back.

Devil May Cry

Appendages stopped in their tracks as Yarouchi halted and turned about to face them, shaking her crown with a growl. The frown on his maw deepened. He wanted to get this over with and she was holding him up. Didn't she know he wanted the pups back safely as soon as possible? But he decided to hear her out anyways, pricking his eavesdroppers as the fae began to speak. He could see her logic of course since it had been the same thing going through his mind a couple of seconds ago. He was reluctant to use pups himself and she did have a point with the later plan. They probably wouldn't be able to recognize the scent by the time the adults took them through the territories. Besides, an older wolf would probably be able to put a territory name to the smell if they knew the area well enough.

He was willing to compromise. Anything to get this over with. Devil felt a small smile appear on his features. Okay, Yarouchi would definitely get some points for that one. Plus she had outside connections, always a good thing. He nodded his scalp. Okay, fine. We'll do it that way then, Yarouchi. Will you go to your brother's territory or does someone need to go with you? Will he be quick? I'd like to have those pups back home soon. I don't like the matter of placing trust in someone not from my pack but I'm trusting you on this. Do not fail me. His orbs narrowed as he spoke, making sure she understood. Yarouchi may be one of the females he was close to but she would get put in her place just as quick.

Yarouchi

She listened and waited. It will take only seconds. She spoke. She knew Koga her brother pergrin falcon messanger was here already. Koga i know your here, please go to my brother and ask him if i could borrow the snake Aku pleaseShe spoke looking up at the bird.

Koga looked down and nodded before taking flight. He flew straight for Sologhvin downs and it only took about five minutes before he returned Carring a rather heavy package that was 13.5 ft long. He flew to the ground and dropped the snake gently before fluttering to a low branch.

Yarouchi nodded. aku here has been threw alot of territories, he is half black mamba half king cobra so he can easily defend himself yet fit through the hole.

Aku was 13.5 feet long and was dark olive with dark orange scales. He lifted his head up. I'll dooo what I i cann miss youruchi! He hissed looking from one wolf to the next.

Devil May Cry

He let his facilites nod as Yarouchi spoke. When she suddenly looked up and spoke as if speaking to the sky, Devil's orbs narrowed a little. What on earth was she talking to? A tree? He smirked a little, trying to hide his skepticism. But he was way off target as a large bird suddenly took off from the tree she'd been looking towards. Oh yeah. He'd almost forgotten that some other territories had a wide range of different animals that lived there, not just wolves. He himself invited other animals to Parnassion. He still had a bunch of open lands he now claimed on the west end of Parnassion Meadows and he planned on letting other species live there peacably but so far none had come forth to ask.

As the flapping of wings disappeared, he flicked his lappets toward Yarouchi, mystified. But the wait wasn't long. It was very quickly over in fact. Doublets pricked as the movement of feathers attracted his attention back to the sky. This time the beat sounded a little off though, like the bird was carrying something heavy. Seeing the odd shape before him, Devil wrinkled his nares up in surprise as the bird dropped a snake gingerly to the ground in front of him. He stood his ground, gaze dropping to take in the serpent with mild interest. He looked to Yarouchi as she began to speak again. As the snake spoke, he pricked his lobes. The hissing speech was a little uncomfortable to his orrilles, almost like the words were tickling them. He flicked them around to get rid of the sensation and glanced at Yarouchi as he stopped and looked at them expectantly.

His features again went serious as he looked at the feminine. Again, I'm trusting you. That was all he said as he looked again at the snake. Then he looked around at the others who seemed to be waiting for the verdict. Change of plans. Yarouchi, Aku, and I will go to teh tundra and come back with the scent. From there we'll decide what to do next. He made sure to say "we" wanting the rest of the pack to know that it would be a group decision, not just his own. While Devil was the command of it all, without the pack he was nothing and he knew that. He would listen to whatever input they had to say, just as he had heard Yarouchi out. He would be sure to come back to hear their input before he decided any actions on the pups. He just wanted to be the one ripping throats out when it came down to kidnappers. He was hoping deep down that it was.

He turned his gaze back to Yarouchi. You and Aku may lead. For some reason, he was mildly interested in how the snake moved. It was just odd to him how they move with no legs. He wanted to shadow so he wouldn't be worried about them seeing him stare. After all, he didn't know if it would offend the snake or not and he certainly didn't want to do that, not with the snake helping him find the pups and all that.
