Devil May Cry

Devil watched Crucifix leave, a deep sigh escaping his muzzle as he turned to look over his lands. Even though there was some life in this place now, it still seemed so deserted and lonely. Feeling something rub against him, Devil let a small growl escape his maw as the femme Exile was rubbing against him. He couldn't say he didn't enjoy the gesture but as he was an alpha she needed to learn her place, plus she had surprised him.

Ears pricked toward the huntress's words as she spoke and Devil let a smirk paint his features. He, too, had caught the slight edge of jealousy in her tone, and looking into her greedy eyes, he liked it. Flicking his tail and holding his head above hers so there'd be no question of the dominant one here, he let his deep vocals escape.

Black Plaque is no longer a resident here. She is trying to get in another pack with the one she...admires.

He couldn't help but let the loathing get into his own threads at the last word. He had offered Black something he'd never think to offer someone. He offered her power, a chance at his side. Looking away from Exile slightly, he growled again, thinking of the audacity of it all. That fatale had some nerve! Our boy doesn't take to rejection very well.

Turning his gaze back to Exile, he pricked his ears for her response. Just how interesting can this vampiress be? He had shown her a little interest at allowing her siblings entrance to Parnassian Meadows. Devil remembered her because she was the one with darkness in her heart.

Exile

Exiles eyes grew dark a moment. She left? Her voice was monotone, showing nothing. However, a slight anger had settled within her. For this... This was like a betrayal to the pack. She didn't hold herself above Devil, her tail remained loose, and her head was just a fraction below the males. Walk with me. She murmured softly. She set off, not commanding him to follow but leaving him a choice. IT was easier to walk and think, then to sit and chat. Her movements were fluid, all grace and poise. She saw her brother, ever watchful, but Denial was missing. Probably trying to get away from all the darkness here. You'll have to excuse Camarin and Denial. Camarain is more the srong silent type then anything. Denial... Shes just special. And what about her? The female offered nothing of herself, just merely her company. Her and Saydin could get along, that they could, but neither like the darkness in one another. They each thought that they were stronger then the other, both dark and evil, one big one small.

Devil May Cry

Devil caught the anger in the femme's voice and wondered at it. She must not like Black Plaque yet she had never met her. Devil smirked again, remembering the jealousy in her tone. She wanted the position he had offered Black. That must be it. Flicking his tail, his golden gaze stayed locked on Exile. He was paying attention now.

At her command, he pinned his ears slightly. It didn't sound like a command, but even the hint of authority in the words caught him off guard and cautioned him. Baring his fangs slightly, our dark prince reminded himself about his anger and slowly recovered his pearlies. He padded after the fatale, catching up in his longer strides to walk beside her.

Catching sight of her sibling as he did, he too marked the absense of Denial and scoffed softly. So she probably couldn't handle this place for long. He sneered in spite of himself. Flicking his tail, his gaze set on her brother Camarin and he wrinkled his nose, still not used to the scent of other males in his packlands. As Exile spoke, Devil put his attention back on her, listening carefully as she spoke.

Noticing she said nothing about herself, he pinned his ears again and flicked his tail, letting his deep lyrics escape.

I see. What about you, Exile? What are your motives? What's your goals in life? I genuinely want to know.

He liked getting to know his pack members. He just didn't volunteer for such a task. They had to approach him or he'd ignore them just like any blade of grass on the ground. Exile called his attention and he respected her for that.

Exile

She moved on, wandering about aimlessly when his words caught her attention. I want to be an alphess, and refuse to be ruled over. My motives? I had none. Now? I just want to be alphess. I want to be loved for who I am, because I refuse to change anything about me. She paused a moment in her walking as a bird took off above her head, watching it for a moment. Do you ever wish to fly? Well, that was way out there. The female continued to walk again, but now she was broody, moody and wanting something more. She wasn't going to spill her lifes story to him. Not yet. Let Camarin do that for her, her brother was good at telling family stories.

Devil May Cry

Devil scoffed softly at her words, his eyes narrowing slightly in indignation. His next lyrics came out in a sort of rough bark of dominance.

And what makes you think yourself worthy of the position? Black Plaque had it offered because she withstood a lot from me. I forced her to come here with some bloodshed on her part and she withstood it proudly. Could you do the same? I am not so desperate to just hand it out to whoever commands it. Rather you must earn the right to rule. You refuse to be ruled over? Then leave, nothing's stopping you. Until then, earn your place. That's my policy, take it or leave it.

He sighed and pinned his ears, his eyes going from their narrowed position to normal again as his speech was said, his frustration let out on the fem. That said, he flicked his tail and continued walking with her. At her next words of flying, he looked up, letting his golden gaze follow the bird before returning to Exile's gaze with a smirk.

Flying is a way of freedom for some, escape for others, so I guess it would depend the motives. For freedom, maybe one day of it would be nice. But restraints form and harden a being. For escape? Never. I would rather die than escape anything without facing it. If I turn a coward, kill me before I step a single paw in escape.

He said the last with a justified tone, letting her know his true and genuine opinions now, so she'd know what she was getting into if she ever did get the alpha position at his side. He would never change how he thinks.

Exile

She stopped and turned to face him, her eyes flashing. And who said I wanted to be your alphess? She asked quietly. Anger was simmering beneath her skin, ready to blow at any moment, her hackles bristled a bit in agitation. She would never ask for something. Never. That was not Exiles Way. Exile demanded things, or worded them just right to corner someone into giving her what she wanted. And what if you were trying to escape yourself? What then? She asked softly. Ah, so not an escape from another being, but from ones self. That was a bit trickier. Exile couldn't just get up and walk away, leave her body behind and take off. You don't know me, Devil. Keep that in mind, when you seek your next alphess. They just might end up being like Saydin. That wasn't nescessarily a good thing. Saydins last mate... Well... He met an untimely death at his own mates jaws after he angered her. Would Blacks sister do the same thing? Would Exile do the same thing? Hard to tell so early in a relationship.

Devil May Cry

Devil couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly at the femme's words. Like she wasn't practically begging to be the alpha a second ago. She wanted it, it was only too obvious in her eyes. He chuckled a bit. Our boy would never try to escape from himself. He enjoyed being him too much.

He narrowed his eyes slightly. Of course he didn't know her. And she knew nothing of him. He would never let a female have position over him. He admired Saydin. She was an alpha any male would be proud to have at his side. Devil could agree with her, so he would never worry about his own life. It was forfeit only if he let it be. Devil would decide his own fate, not anyone else. Growling his reply, Devil pinned his ears and continued to eye the fatale.

If only I could be so lucky to have someone like Saydin. I'm starting to think none exist with her complete heart of stone and energy to back up the threats of death. Others just talk of it. I do not seek an alphess. They will come to me when they are ready, whoever that may be. I do not escape anything. Honor forbids it.

Exile

Exile faced him once again. Saydin killed her last mate. She killed Kahvi. Now theres Valian. You don't want someone like Saydin, Devil. Saydin rules over Valian, and she'll rip him limb from limb if he pisses her off. Her brown and gold eyes watched him carefully. I'm not like you, I'm not like Saydin. I don't kill someone just because I can, I kill out of nescessity. Her eyes followed him for a moment. You want me to prove how dark I am? How about I go kill Denial, just because I can her eyes were turning into Saydin's, fever pitch and overly bright as she started thinking about the kill, but unlike Saydin, Exile kept herself in control. She wouldn't go insane, she wouldn't fallto pieces and just... Attack. Exile thought things through, made sure she knew what she was doing and who she was up against. Denial would be an easy kill, her sister was much to trusting.

Devil May Cry

Devil listened carefully, noting what Exile said about Saydin. He scoffed slightly. It would not stop his admiration for Saydin, but he kind of felt sorry for Valian, that is, if he was scared of the femme he called love and waiting for his own demise. Devil would never feel fear toward another. Respect, yes. But never fear.

Hearing her next words, he pinned his ears down flat and frowned. He did not kill just to kill. He usually just stuck to maiming, getting the victim whittled down through bites and gashes so badly that they whimpered on the ground, begging for death. Then he'd reject their wish and walk away. That was Devil's strategy. Because he was nobody's savior.

He shook his head at her proposal, moving to stand between Exile and the rest of the pack, his fangs showing slightly. This was disrespect to him as an alpha, threatening another of his pack members. Like he would just stand here and let her kill her won sister. Yeah right. Devil had more respect for life than that. And it wasn't like his small pack could spare members. Letting a warning growl escape his muzzle, he vocalized back.

You will not harm a hair on Denial's head. She is under my protection, as are you, as a pack member and she will come to no harm unless over my dead body. You need not prove yourself through killing, especially one so weak as her.
