Singed

Singed trotted in the snow, her legs lifting high. Head tossed high, she hopping a few feet, though she tripped and rolled. Laughing, Singed laid their in the frigid snow, just breathing and looking up at the deep blue sky. Life is good. Singed thought, just staring at the marvelous cloud-dotted sky. The snow began to melt, and turned to liquid. Singed shivered and stood up, her legs standing firmly under her like pillars. Did no one want to play with her? Singed shook her head and took a few steps, hopping and sliding on ice of a tributary to Elk Stand Lake. Singed, at first, was embaressed, but laugh and stood up.

Rosco; Tyree; Kazbek

The fallow/mule deer hybrid trotted through the slush, carrying his head as though his antlers were a banner. The young buck stopped beside the lake and looked at Singed. "Hello, my dear. I am Rosco, son of Sasha and Wardell."

Tyree and Kazbek followed the prince wherever he went. "I told you he's the son of the king and queen." Tyree whispered to her twin sister.

Kilamanjaro,Sprinkles,Kanguskon

Kanguskon had stub for antlers finally but that was it.He watched the older deer and watched his sister chase after him.He snorted.so what if he was the son of sasha and wardell. His mother had been adopted by Sasha which is just as good.He was son of Sassy and Everest and was half mule deer and half white tail. His coat is that of a mule deer along with his ears but when he has horns they will be of the white tail deer.

Sprinkles she stood a little distance from everyone. She was shy.She was part White Tailed and part red.She was larger then her sister now with a dark tan coat and cinnoman sprinkles on her face. Her underside was a dull gray. She watched all of them.

Kanguskon also had stubbs for antlers. He is 75% White Tail and 25% Red Deer.He was fairly large and wad dark tan with a white underbelly. His antlers when they come threw would be like his fathers but longer and heavier. He snorted and held his head high.

Singed

"Hello, Rosco. I am Singed... I am not sure if you know me, I am rather knew." Singed replied politely, her regal eyes sparkling like water. Singed took a deep breath, her lungs sucking in the frigid air. Singed dipped her head to acknowledge the fact he was the prince. "Why is everyone so subdued with happiness? We haven't been attacked, yet, so why not enjoy life now?"

Rosco; Tyree; Kazbek

Rosco smiled at Singed. "I have heard of you, Lady Singed, but until now I have not had the pleasure to meet you." He dipped his head in return out of respect for the doe. He chuckled a bit when Singed asked her questions. "I suppose we are a bit too solemn. My mother is afraid that we will be attacked at any moment and I guess that is taking the pleasure out of this herd. Really, I see no reason not to enjoy life, as long as we don't let our happiness lead to ignorance."

It wasn't the fact that Rosco was the son of Sasha and Wardell that made him so appealing to the young twin does. It was partly that he carried the very genes of the king and queen, but mostly that they liked his personality. Rosco was the direct biological son of the leaders. Tyree was the one to make the first move. "Greetings, Rosco. I am Tyree, daughter of Sassy and Everest." She said bashfully. If a deer could blush, her face would be red by now. "This is my sister, Kazbek, and I have a brother named Kilimanjaro."

Rosco bowed to the two females who had seemed to join in on the conversation. "Greetings, Tyree and Kazbek. You are welcome to join us if you would like." He looked back at Singed. "Perhaps we could round up a group and go exploring. I haven't seen the outside world in ages."

Kilamanjaro,Sprinkles,Kanguskon

Kila watched and shook his head. though if something happened to his twin sisters he would surely take down what ever caused it.

Sprinkles stayed a few feet away shy.She watched the others.

Kanguskon stood by kila.

Singed

Singed lowered her head when the others approached, smiling. "Correct." Singed replied to Rosco; fun was okay until it got too distracting. "If we can have a few more, we can explore the outlands. I haven't gone far beyong this lake since I joined this herd."

Blitz

The silvery-brown stag was nibbling on the new spring grass when he saw out of the corner of his left eye a small gathering of young deer. He raised his elegant antlered head with mild interest, and turned his ears toward them to catch their words. He heard the words "explore", "outlands", and "a few more". He was relatively new, but he had explored the territory and new most of it. He was still afraid of offending the others who had been members of the huge herd longer than he, especially after that episode with Sasha. So therefore he quietly and humbly approached them.

When he reached them, he softly said, "I um, heard that you were going to explore, and um, I was, uh wondering if you might want someone else to come along, or...something like that." Then he added quickly, "But if you don't want me to or something, that's fine." He was a little shy, something that he had always been. He didn't want to be rejected, but they were higher ranked then him in the herd, especially the son of Sasha and Wardell.

Rosco

Rosco smiled at the does. "Then let us explore the outlands." He said in a gentlemanly way. Just then came Blitz. "Sure. You can come." He wasn't one to hold grudges and, at the time, had nothing against this new stag. He stepped back so he could see the whole group at once. "We will go back to my birthplace for vacation. The Spinulose Bog. It's not far from here, and it's actually quite nice." With that, he nodded to the party and moved out.

Tyree and Kazbek followed the prince faithfully.

Singed

Singed bucked. "Let's go," Singed jeered, following Rosco gingerly with springly steps. It felt so nice, so refreshing, to be leaving the territory for the first time in eons. Singed flicked her ears back, smiling briefly, timidly at Tyree and Kazbek.

Blitz

Blitz took up the rear of the small herd, which was his rank. The young prince and his friends first, and then him. He was grateful to be allowed to tag along. This could be fun, even if he didn't really fit in or belong.
