Cavan

Knowing how well a deer could hear and smell, Cavan made absolute sure he remained downwind of the herd. Silently creeping through a steep, dry ravien, he led the group into the territory of Nhosh and Wycliff. He traveled on until the ravien branched out into a low cove area. There, he turned to the group and spoke quietly to them, "Mikia, you and the foals head into that clearing over there." Cavan started, nodding towards small, a nearby meadow. Tersek and I will pretend to attack you, and you will make a lot of noise and call for help... that ought to get the herd's attention." He looked to the predators now, "The rest of you will hide in the ravine until the herd arrives. Once they come, you will strike. Kill most of the stags, and break a leg on the rest. As for the hinds and fawns, harass them but don't kill too many. Once the stags are down, the rest of the herd will be leaderless and under our control. We don't want to destroy this pack... it will be our food pantry if all goes well. In fact..." An idea suddenly sprung up in the wolf's mind as he looked to his group of killers, but he held off on this plan for now. After the stags were taken out, he'd reveal the idea to the others.

"Lets do this." Cavan looked to Mikia and the foals now, waiting for them to get into position.

Mikia

She snorted and nodded and then nickered to her foals and moved slowly and cautiously out into the clearing. Her ears twitching. Soon she stood and then began to graze knowing that it be more convincing if she acted normal.

Greda and Cain whickered and followed their mother. They began to nurse.

Rajsa followed and nodded and stayed behind.

Shattered .+. Others

Shattered growled and lowered herself down, it was Silver who commented to Cavan. "Is not the plan to lure them out here 'lost' foals. Or do you have better plan up your paw?" She gave a gentle, less than evil smirk. Wither moved with wide eyes to the group but took to hiding. Concealing herself quite a ways but still in sight of the horses. Prisoner let wind escape her nostrils but dared not to make much noise. She turned and waited to see if she could do anything in this act. If not she would hide.

Villain soon arrived and turned to settle into hiding, while Razor looked around for Krypt. He too hid, concealing himself in the shade and taller points of the grass. The assassins decided to follow and each took their own place of hiding. Tyrant would remain at the temple to protect it.

Cavan

The wolf's fangs were shown in a smirk, "I've got a plan, don't worry." Yellow eye turned to watch the horses before he stood and made a rush for the meadow. With a sharp, ringing howl, he announced his presence and began to circle the equines. Every aspect of his savage posture spoke of a hunting wolf, and he was sure to be loud with his snarling and growling as he circled and snapped at the horses.

Bloodlust

Bloodlust felt nervous, but she hid all her fear. She stood near Shattered and awaited for the time to strike. "It's going to be a hell of a lot of a job to kill stags."

Mitya and foals

the mother horse had sensed the wolf nearby and had lifted her dial but before she could flee the wolf was at them. She whickered out loud calling for anyone in the vacinity help and the snorted and moved avoiding the snaps. The two foals cryed out and they stayed close to their mother at all times.

Thallir, Staghorn, Solange, Tinedal, Zuk, & Quell

The cries did not go unanswered for too long. On a patrol to the west was a group of four adult stags and two yearlings, Zuk and Quell. Aside from Quell and Solange, the white-tails, the rest of this particular patrol was made of fallow bucks.

Staghorn at once barked out a deep warning, while Thallir added to it with a bellow to summon the rest of the stags for help. Palmated antlers lowered, the three fallow bucks rushed across the opposite end of the meadow, heading straight for Cavan.

Meanwhile, Solange put himself between the equines and the horse, "Stay calm, don't run!" He warned, knowing how tempting it was to run when panicked. It only made protecting them all that more difficult. The nine year old white-tail stag had an impressive set of antlers, which curved downward at the ends rather than up. Dozens of tines adorned the antlers, pointing in random directions.

Zuk and Quell, being yearlings, had no antlers yet- just little stumps on their heads where antlers would be next year. With no effective way to attack the wolf, they stayed near Solange.

Razor .+. Others

Razor moved so that the foals could see him. When the needed to run he was there to lead them to safety. Shattered scooted forward slightly, but not enough to be seen. She wasn't sure if she were to attack or if Cavan was going to lead them closer.

Wither, Silver, Villain all held their positions. Prisoner stayed laying down, although uncomfortable, she didn't want the stags to see her. Rasheetah slowly crept forward. Though as soon as dead grass ran out she stopped so she could stay hidden until signaled.

Krypt & Incalia

Krypt silently slipped up beside Razor, brushing against him slightly to tell him of his presence without making a noise. His eyes darted from Cavan to the horses, waiting for the signal to attack the stags.

Incalia also arrived, taking a place beside Wither, her hungry eyes fixed on Solange. Her muscles were tensed ready to charge and take down the stags with pure power. She dipped down so she couldn't be seen, ready to strike when Cavan gave the signal.

Cavan

Remaining stationary, Cavan watched the stags come barrelling towards them. And when they were but a leap away, he dodged suddenly to the side to avoid getting caught on their weapons. Snarling at the stags, Cavan made a mock rush for the horses and yearlings, just to further rile the deer. Then he circled around the group in a swift dash and stood there, tail and head high, facing the woodland. If the stags rushed him, they'd have their backs to the hidden Shadow Haunters. "NOW!"

Incalia and Krypt

The words signalled a psychotic snarl, and powering up from behind the stags, the Hybrid Division leader started the imminant charge. Incalia, a German Shepherd and Rottweiler crossbreed, tore across the grass and threw her 120 pound body at Solange, aiming to land on his back and seize the back of his neck to try and snap the bone. If she met her mark, she would shake her head violently to try and break his neck.

Krypt glanced to Razor before following Incalia. He didn't make a sound, rounding the other side of the herd from Incalia and locking his aim on Thallir. Pumping his muscles, Krypt struck for the stags throat, to either tear his windpipe or jugular.

Shattered .+. Razor .+. Villain .+. Wither .+. Silver Trace .+. The Assassins

Shattered quickly bolted at the word, following close behind Krypt in the assult, As Krypt went for the neck, she went for the hind leg. Grabbing at it and yanking back quickly so that she would not be kicked by that particular leg. After a yank back, She would yank to the side to hopefully knock him off balance. If she could not catch the hind leg she would attempt for a higher more sencitive withers.

Razor so desperately wanted to bolt for an attack on the deer but knew his position and gave a series of barks for the foal to follo him. Lifting himself so that he was visible to the children. Only after they grew closer to him did he turn and run toward the temple and to Dima's temple for the foals to stay safe at.

Villain twitched and lit off like a rocket at the sign. He quickly made for Solange to help. As Incalia bit at the brutes beck of his neck, he went for jugular. Hiding then stricking from the grass as fas as he could. Wither helped with this assult and lunged on the hind quarters to distract the deer from his front side. If he was destracted by both behind attacks Villain would be invisible.

Silver Trace tore across the field and to Staghorn. She went for a quick soft under belly. Trying to tear away some gut. Halabex quickly helped. Jumping toward the legs of the deer, keeping each foot in check, bitting the current one that bore the most weight. As her lead bit at the feet, Toxic quickly made her way to the stags neck and bit quickly at the gullet. Thrashing violently is she made her mark.

Darmus smiled insanely, "B-blood" He sighed to himself and lowered in a devilish growl. To familiar feel of the world dissapearing under his feet arose as complete darkness consumed him. There was nothing more now but the two yearlings. He was to herd them away right? Well, why not have a little fun and use a little bite?

As the world completely dissapeared into blackness he moved across the dark veil. Quickly lunging himself at the yearling and snapping. The massive white fluff flying this way and that as the chow continued with a series of snaps and bites to herd the deer into thick brush. If they fought back, by god, he fought back just as hard if not harder.

Bloodlust

Bloodlust grinned, so far so good.

Nhosh & Others

Thallir was too focused on gouging Cavan to notice the sudden appearance of more wolves. He was only aware of their presence when a sharp pain seized his hind leg. The older stag bellowed sharply as he wheeled around, just in time to see a form flying at him. Teeth buried into his gullet as the fallow lost his footing and crashed to the ground. Dangerous hooves flailed wildly in the air, even as Krypt's fangs punctured his jugular vein. He would die, but not before putting up a valiant fight.

Staghorn was taken by surprise just as well, as Silver Trace dodged in for his underside. Rearing up with a cry of pain, he struck his hooves down like a pair of knives for the hybrid's side, trying to splinter through her ribs. Whether he succeeded in this quick assault, a pair of fangs latched onto him. One catching a hind limb, and the other digging into his neck. Toxic's bite dug in far, tearing into his windpipe, allowing blood to slowly seep into his lungs. Twisting his head to the side, he tried to catch the wolf with the edge of his pointed tines, while bucking his free legs to strike the other two wovles. Like his comrade, he was doomed; but while he was on his feet, he could still do damage.

Solange was twice the size and weight of his fallow friends, and since he was not charging after Cavan, he had a better opportunity to spot his attackers. For this reason, he spotted Incalia coming for him. At the last second, he spun sharply with his gnarled antlers lowered. In a swift motion, he plunged his 300 pound frame forward, trying to impale the dog and slam her to the ground. As he was doing this, he spotted a second attacker rushing for him; Halabex. To this, he kicked out his hind legs, with enough force to break a wolf's skull if they connected. As much as he tried, he could not hold off all of the aggressors forever, and it was Toxic who got him. Preoccupied with the other two, he wasn't fully aware of the she-wolf until she sunk her ivories into the side of his neck. However, with all his thrashing, he was more fortunate than Staghorn and Thallir. By mere luck, her fangs did not hit anything vital with the first strike. Still, her bite drew a lot of blood.

Zuk and Quell tried to stand their ground at first, but their confidence was shattered by the sight of Darmus. Tails flagged in warning, the pair turned and began to run from him.

Tinedal, having not been attacked by anyone yet, doubled back when he heard his friends begin attacked. The younger fallow charged for Halabex, head lowered. As he got closer, he threw his head up, trying to catch the canine along the side and flip him to the ground...

----

Alerted to trouble by Luke, Nhosh and Rift had sent the hinds to a safe area while the rest of the adult stags were gathered up for the fight. Twenty-three stags came barrelling through the woods and into the small meadow area. Leading them was Nhosh, with his 3-foot long, sword-like antlers lowered like a pair of javolines, ready to pierce through the first creature that dared get in his way.

Furlock, a tweleve year old white tail, was not so quick as the other stags. But he had an impressive set of antlers and knowledge that surpassed most of the others.

Huyen, brother to Solange, had a pelt that was as black as night. He was more robustly built than his twin, though just as quick.

Guadalupe, with his midnight-pelt, looked to be a minature form of Huyen, with a leaner and leggier build.

Scraff and Nitro were the other two adult white-tails, charging in just behind Nhosh and Huyen. Behind them came four two-year old white tails; Bramble, Luke, Locust, and Little Earth.

Three more fallow deer arrived with the party, ranging from the dark-pelted Metoer, the young Zhaa, and the old Halkaden.

Three axis stags, Lanthani, Hark, and Seiberry skirted the flanks of the group.

Four white-lipped deer, with their large hooves and dangersly long antlers, formed a group around the fallows. Nettle, and his three sons Donovan, Terrel, and Idyn.

And then the largest of them all; five red deer. Nhosh, Rift, Sumac, Radon, and Valence.

The massive group stormed across the meadow, antlers flashing brilliantly like a brigade of swords, bobbing and slashing through the air. The ground trembled with their stomping hooves, and the wind quaked with their defiant bellows. The miniature army advanced without hesitation upon the canines, ready to tear into, crush, and stab any and all that got in their way...

Sophomore

The coyote heard a war. He didn't like wars, even though he was forced to join one as a pup. His father caught rabies and killed his mother, then was killed himself. He was determined to be his father's "second chance." Even though they all laughed at him, he would be who his father wanted to be.

He ran in the direction of the fight. The canines were attempting to kill the deer! He had little time to think. He could join his own kind, he could help the innocent, or he could stay out of it. He thought about what his father might do. He would help the innocent, of course! The deer seemed innocent. "I won't let you down, Daddy." He had never grown up fully, because he never had adults there for him.

He ran to the aid of the deer. He was small, but he couldn't care less if he had no legs. He waited a while, to see who he should attack and who he shouldn't.

Mikia

Mikia snorted her and her foals jobs were done and once there was an openeing she herded her foals off and dissapeared back into the brush to sit and wait. She watched the fight.

Rajsa she came speeding out and went for the grown stag and lept for where ever was open her large cat body flying.

Rasheetah .+. Prisoner

Rasheetah waited in the brush. Easing herself to launch when more attacked. Prisoner stayed in the brush as well until things would get out of control.

Razor quickly let the two to the temple.

Thunder's Call

As the others began to leap into the fray, the grizzly clambered out of the ravine, moving slow at first as he sized up the opponents. In very little time, the number of stags had multiplied drastically; but that only added to the fun. And it made it ridiculously convinient to pick off the herd's main line of defense. Once these brutes were taken care off, the hinds and yearlings would be easy to control.

Waiting in the brush until the twenty-three stags hurtled past him, it was a simple matter of coming in from behind. His eyes set immediatly upon Furlock, the elderly white-tail. Picking up a burst of speed that seemed impossibly for his massive size, the grizzly charged across the field, heading for his target. If he could catch up with the stag, he'd swipe a paw at the hind legs to send the beast to the ground...

Leope, Callholm, & Guntar

The three cats had waited patiently in the dormant undergrowth, not making sound nor movement as they waited. Stalking was second nature to them, an area of expertice. Callholm, with his black pelt, had a particular advantage in the black and grey tones of the dormant forest. The snow was mostly melted away, leaving the trees and ground dark with moisture, and close to the shade of his own fur.

When the signal was given, the three big cats made their presence known. Callholm sighted Tinedal, who currently had no attackers. As the stag made his attack on Halabex, the black leopard leapt for his shoulder. Unseathed claws and bared fangs were aimed to sink into the flesh of the stag, while the cat's weight and momentum were use to slam him to the ground, if he made his leap correctly...

Guntar, the largest of the three cats, was perhapse the least dangerous. He had no claws, and his hunting instincts and drive were not the greatest. He and Chahaya were like to big kittens. Yet he still had his fangs, several inches in length; and they were more than enough to kill with. The tiger quickly picked out Halkaden as his victim. Circling around the opposite side of the charging stags, Guntar did as the grizzly had, and came at them from behind. If anything else, it would at least help to break up their line of defense and force some of the deer to turn around. Going into a sudden run, Guntar covered a lot of ground in little time. With a powerful leap, he dove through the air with clawless paws outstretched, trying to tackle the old fallow and burry his canines into the back of the deer's neck for a quick kill...

Leope took a more casual approach. Excitement grew in the lion as the sound of fighting errupted around him. Eager eyes passed over wolf, deer, and a solo coyote. So much was going on, he could only assume that all predators present were on his side, although he didn't remember seeing the little cousin to the wolf during the meeting. In any case, his real focus was for the oncoming stags. As tough and fight-prone as the big cat was, he knew rushing into the melee of antlers and hooves would wind up with him dead. Yet if the the line of stags were allowed to continue on, Silver Trace, Cavan, and the other attacking wolves were likely to get stabbed and trampled by the sheer number of deer. With a powerful roar, Leope positioned himself right in front of the oncoming stags, tail lashing like a whip behind him. He hoped his presence was enough to make the deer faulter; or perhaps take the attention for others to sweep in and break up the front line.

Cavan

The wolf stood defiantly when the three stags charged him. An arrogant, devilish grin took over his muzzle as he watched the three close in on him. At the same time, he saw the rest of his assault group pour out from hiding. Before any of the three stags reached him, his fighters had reached them.

His head shot in the direction of the other end of the field, as Nhosh led the other stags into the meadow. Perfect... Cavan thought, for now they had all the stags in one spot. As the Haunters began to engage the enemies, Cavan sauntered slowly around the outskirts of the battle zone, using his good eye to gauge the fighting. There were a few more deer here than he had anticipating... but then, his fighters were very well prepared to take on their prey. No worries.

"Remember, kill most, but not all! Leave some with broken legs!" He howled out, not caring that he was giving away the plan. After all, if the stags choose to turn and flee after hearing this, it would be simple to follow and hunt them down. As for his part in the hunt, the scarred wolf waited on the sidelines for the time being, ready to bark out orders and guide the pack in their assualt. Only when things were under control would he join in the slaughter.

Kaos

KAOS
Chaos...
You want some?

The hybrid, second in command of the Hybrid Division, although late on the scene, knew exactly what was going on. He had managed to catch a few of the last words, and they wrang powerfully in his head, kill some, break legs of others.
As though shot out of a gun, his swift legs brought him straight for one of the deer. He figured going for the younger ones was best, for now. He'de go to break a leg, and wow would he accomplish that too. He'de just have to watch out for the antlers, but it should be nothing much different than what he was used to before. Without a second thought, he dove across the ground at the fallow Tinedal, jaws open wide and fangs ready to tear into some deer flesh. His jaws, like an open flying bear trap, were aimed for the buck's shoulder and chest area, where he could try to do some damage there and then go for one of the legs or neck. His form was huge, probably making it easier to weigh the deer down enough to snag a vital area, or relocate a hold. This would be fun-- fighting, and killing especially, were just like a sport to him, only much more serious in cases like these.

KAOS
simply C H A O T I C

My original home was somewhere I loathed
My enjoyments are ripping humans to shreds and being by myself, if you must know
I see a potential meal in anyone and everyone
My occupation had been serving the humans as a pit fighter
My lifestyle once consisted of torture, suffer, fight, repeat
My heart belongs to absolutely no one
I only serve the Shadow Haunters, so that's how it goes
I've no friends nor family, and like it that way
I've many enemies, but none you need to know

Tersek

The thrill of the fight flooded through the young hybrid as he joined his fellows in swarming the field. So much was going on around him that he had a hard time picking out one individual to attack. In fact, he was nearly trampled by the little stag army before springing into action. While common sense told him to circle around like the others, pride goaded him to intimidate the advancing herd and take them from the front, like Leope was doing.

Standing near the lion, Tersek snarled savagely as the deer drew closer. His eyes searched frantically for some sort of opening in the formation, a weakness that he may be able to exploit...

Shattered, Wither, Silver Trace, Villain, The Assassins, Broken, Rasheetah, .+. Prisoner

Krypt seemed to have Thillar under control, the brute would die so the others left him alone.

Silver Trace was less than lucky to dodge the stags attack. She had managed to keep him from tearing into her lungs, but he had successfully gouged at her hind end. Pain lit aflame as she turned around to see a huge chunk of skin torn from her right hip as well as.... as well as... She stared in sheer horror as only a quarter of her beautiful tail remained attacked to her body. Turning frightful eyes to a bloody fifth limb laying under the stag. A terribly loud, bone wrenching cry errupted from within her throat as she cried for the loss of her tail. But that pain soon turned into putter anger as she began to bite at the stags legs and hind end. She would not get in front of him. She would force him dead! But Wither, terribly sorry pushed the distressed Silver away from the doomed deer. "Come, you have made your goal, he will die. Go kill another." She tried soft cooing to sooth the poor Silver, but nothing worked. She hesitated to leave the stage then turned and ran for Furlock. Knowing the stag would be at least distracted by the bear. She went quickly for his gullet while he wasn't looking. Ready to take down the brute as if revenge for her tail. She would have her revenge.

Wither nodded at her aunts actions then raced after the group. Barking and growling loudly, as she moved close to one side, then ran away. Trying to lead the deer to open a weak spot.

As the weak spot was opened, Shattered raced through their dangerous hooves. Navigation but not touching one, She was ment to scare and only scare a scattered group. Only to make a larger opening. Her nimble body would go next to untouched by hooves for she only scattered in while their attention was on Wither.

Villain Made his way to the back. He took up on Huyen on his blind side. Silent and the jumping high into the air to snatch the back of his neck. Thrashing and clawing would be his only options.

It was then that Prisoner jumped out of her bush. Seeing the attack on Halabex. She charged, as if charging the brown wolf, she even stomped in his way. Letting the antlers graze his hind end. But he was all use to it. As the deer would give a follow with its antlers she spun around and pegged her hind legs at Tindals chest. Hoping to knock the wind out of him enough for Toxic and Halabex to re-round and take him by the neck and gut. Toxic's attack had seemed to work the first time. So she worked the second time. The Akita quickly bit into his neck as the brown wolf lunged for a front leg to keep the beast on the ground and unable to kick his partner.

If the attack succedded Prisoner went after Sophomore. Knowing well that he wasn't on their side. Charing up to him, she opened her jaws and bit at the coyotes neck, then jumped in their air and spun around, She tried to land on it's hind end, if not she kicked out powerfully like a bullet with her hind hooves.

Broken entered upon the scene and sighed. It was her family. Why not help them? With that she raced down as well. Her own attack on Sophomore. After the horse mader her attack and kick she came up to bit the tender underside while the coyote was distracted by the horse.

Rasheetah grew agitated and circled around the back. She quickly picked her way and with a powerful leap she tried to aim for the back of Nosh, if not the ones around him. Unsheathable claws would scrap their back while powerful jaws hoped to break a spine. If Nosh were dead the rest of the stags would grow disorented.

Incalia & Krypt

Krypt felt Thallir's blood ooze down his muzzle and a psychotic grin plastered his face. He gave one final, violent shake of his head to cause as much damage as possible, before dropping his neck. He failed to notice a blunt hoof fly at him and was kicked in the rear left leg. He snarled in pain and anger as the impact broke his leg. Leaping away from the fallen stag, Krypt seeked another target and found one. Zhaa. His bloodied muzzle accomodated a sneer as he ran at the fallow on his remaining 3 legs, coming from behind and rounding the deer as silently as possible to leap up at his throat. He hoped the commotion of the battlefield would have Zhaa's attention so he wouldn't notice him. He aimed for the windpipe or jugular again.

Incalia wasn't so lucky. She found her 300 pound target coming for her instead. Snarling wildly, the hybrid lept to dodge Solange's antlers, but was gored in the right shoulder. She stumbled as blood began to seep from the wound; she tugged away and retreated a few feet. Re-gathering her composure, Incalia picked another target from the on-coming stags. Halkaden. She narrowed her eyes as she darted between the various fights as best she could with her injured shoulder. As with Krypt, Incalia hoped the noise from the battle would drown out her approached as she launched herself with her hind-quaters at the Fallow stag, aiming for the old favourite; a throat hold.

Nhosh & Others

As the battle went into full tilt, two stags lay dead in the grass. Twenty-eight were still up and raging for a fight.

Solange had fallen under their first onslaught of attackers, finding his neck bleeding profusely and his hindquarters mauled. They must have mistaken him for a dying creature, for two of the three departed and headed for new victims. Rising up once more, the stag turned his now blood-tipped antlers at the third attacker- Halabex. With a throating bellow, he dipped his tines and drove at the canine with the same force and speed as he had with Incalia...

As two of his friends fell before him, Tinedal reared up and kicked his forehooves violtently in the air, blazing eyes looking for a victim to vent his rage on. That's when he spotted Khaos coming for him. "Oh no you don't..." The fallow stag snorted, pawing the ground as he prepared to go into a charge and meet the wolf head-on. Except, before he could begin to run, something massive slammed into him, sending the startled stag colliding into and sliding across the ground. Callholm had caught him by surprise. Kicking furiously, the fallow tried to bring himself up, and fend off the big cat. With his attention drawn away, Khaos had the perfect opportunity to bring his teeth into the deer's exposed shoulder. With a cry of pain, Tinedal tried to kick the wolf away...

Where Zhaa was lacking in experience, he made up for with the number of friends. With him were the rest of the two-year old stags of the herd, ordered to fight as a group by Nhosh. Luke, Bramble, Locust, and Little Earth, the whitetails, Radon and Valence, the red deer, and Terrel and Donovan, the whitelips. And with them was the yearling Idyn, brother to Terrel and Donovan. As a group, they braced together as Krpt made his rush. Though their antlers weren't so large, and their strength not at its peek, as a group they were very dangerous indeed. Rather than run from the oncoming wolf, the ten young stags group together and made a sudden charge, sending a barackade of antlers and hooves right for the crippled wolf, ready to trample and gorge the injured canine to death...

Hearing and smelling the grizzly behind him, Furlock stopped and turned around, giving a defiant bellow as the bear descened upon him. He thrashed his dangerous antlers and stomped his cloven hooves into the ground to try and intimidate the much larger predator. And with his attention thoroughly distracted, a wounded Silver Trace came up along side him before the old stag had time to react. With a choaked bark, he bucked up and fell promptly to his knees with dog teeth set deep into his throat.

Huyen was determined to defend his brother, and was nearly upon Halabex when he was lucky enough to catch the sound of an enemy. How he picked up the rushing pads of the wolf amist all the chaos was left to question, but he heard it alright. His time training with Nhosh had paid off, perhaps. Using the same tactic as his brother, Huyen acted as though he didn't know Villian was closing in on him. But at the last possibly moment, the robust stag bolted to the side and swung his antlers low and swift before thrusting them up like so many dagger blades, trying to catch the wolf in the gut and fling him through the air... Guadalupe, his bravery beginning to show through, turned to his dear friend Huyen. A second white-tail, Nitro, backed up Guad. Together, the two young stags rushed at Halabex, both trying to gorge the canine where ever they could, and trample him if they could get him on the ground.

If Huyen seemed ontop of his game, Nhosh was doubly so. Most of the adult stags in his herd were rescued from a deer farm, but he and a handful of others had much training and experience. Despite all the commotion, the red deer picked up on the swift approach of the cheetah. With speed that did not seem possible for his six and a half hundered pound body, the lead reared up on his hindlimbs and spun around, sword-like antlers lowered for the kill as he dove forward to meet the cat's leap...

Halkaden was in much the same boat as the aged Furlock. There was an overwhelming amount of sound and smell invading his deteriorating senses that it nearly through him into a panic. The old fallow stopped and stamped his hooves in anxiety, frightened eyes shifting this way and that as he struggled with the desire to flee, and the desire to stay and fight with his heard. The decision was made for him as an emense weight came crashing down on his back. The deer slid across the ground a few feet as Guntar dug his claws in. Before the stag could realize just what tackled him, or even catch his breath, fangs wrapped around his throat. The enraged Silver Trace had found a good spot to vent her own anger, and it, along with the tiger's ferocious jaws, were enough to end the life of the old fighter.

Lanthani was the unlucky stag chosen by Rasja. As he focused his attention elsewhere, the tigeress caught him off guard. He was tackled to the ground with a grunt. Dangerous hooves began to kick out at once, trying to stab and bruise the tiger. Seiberry quickly came to his friend's aid. Both deer outweighed the tiger by a good hundered pounds or so. While she was busy with Lanthani, Seiberry rushed for her side, aiming his antlers to gouge into her gut...

Wither had successfully taken the attention of several stags, thus breaking up the front line of antlers. Three stags now choose her as a target. Scraff, a slightly older whitetail, Meteor, a fallow, and Hark, an axis. The three spread out slightly before making their charge at the wolfess. They came in at different angles, trying to cut off her escape route as they each attempted to catch and impale her upon their multiple tines.

The three remaining stags, Rift, Sumac, and Nettle, went for Leope and Tersek. Rift was the largest, even bigger than Nhosh. Coming in at nearly 700 pounds, the red deer brought his head low and charged straight for the lion. Sumac, an older red deer, headed for the lion as well, aiming to catch his shoulder with his antlers. And nettle, having the most dangerous, solid hooves of them all, made for Tersek.

Bloodlust

Bloodlust swiftly coursed towards Little Earth, younger stags could deal quit a bit of damage but they were juvenile...still. Bloodlust felt the adrenaline racing threw her veins as she used her paws to launch her into the air at Little Earth's neck.

Rajsa

She growled as she had tackled the stag and bit down on where ever she had.She avoided the fliing hooves just barely everyonce in a while one would just skim. She attempted to dig her claws in just as she felt somethin sharpscrape her.Lucky though it only made a small puncture. She jumped off the other stag and ran a few paces off and then turned around to face the two.She growled and then roared. She mock charged and then waited.

Risen .+ The Load

Rasheetah watched in dread as Nosh turned on her while she was in mid air. Her legs began to move around to grab the horns and push away. Her feet digging to get a grip on his face and bounce off. Her attack did not go unpunished for she felt his horn hook her in the chest and tear out the side, leaving a gaping wound on her rib cage. She hoped her own stunt had damaged the stag in some way as well, but wasn’t sure. Which ever way she got to the ground, she continued to duck and growl. Even as blood dripped from her wounds.

As Rasheetah was being twirled like a rag doll, Risen came up and snapped at Nosh’s throat. Hoping the cats weight could keep his head down long enough for a good grip on his gullet.

As Villain neared the deer turned on him. He was able to dodge a fatal blow but received lacerations to the gut.

Vicious raced in and spotted Huyen with Villain. Growling deeply the large brute moved swiftly around, edging up on each side he made a silent way. As Vicious neared, Villain gave a frightful yelp to the deer to distract it. Hoping the deer would let down any guard as Vicious went for the neck.

Villain growled and limped away when Vicious came up and attacked. With the brute hopefully occupied he turned and rounded the three remaining. Closing in quickly he stayed on Nettle’s side until the last second as he switched and raced toward Rifts neck, Quickly biting down to kill the largest buck.

Unlike Villain, Silver went straight for Nettle, Watching and waiting until the open moment. Either when he swung his head for the two or when he looked to Villain when the wolf attacked. Both openings she would use. Quickly, deadly, she moved and bit at the brutes throat. Hopeing to kill him as quick as the others.

Halabex watched as the three stags came after him. Turning and running as Salonge led Nitro and Guadalupe to tear him apart.

As the three were occupied with gouging out Halabex, Toxic rushed in and went for the hind leg of Nitro to stop the beasts assult. She would clamp onto his foot until further helped

Darmus came racing back in, watching as his leader was under attack, As Toxic attacked Nitro, Darmus waited for the surprised, or enraged look from Guadalupe. When he saw any kind of distraction did he make his move to come up on the throat of the deer from the blind area.

Only after his two friend had attacked had he rounded Salonge. Quickly running circles to piss the deer off and leave him slightly open for another attack.

Seeing Halabex play rosey with the deer made her smile and leap towar him, as the buck turned away from her to concentrate on Halabex, Shattered came through his legs and bit promptly at his throat. Pushing forward and swinging out so that he would not be able to kick her, nor rear from her hold.

If Shattereds attack succeeded, Halabex went for the deers throat as well. Both wolves would tug until they tore out his viens or windpipe.

As the ten came herding after the single wolf, Prisoner came racing in. She ran up to the stags, and promptly pivoted on her front legs and struck out at Zhaa and Luke’s foreheads both at once, If their horns were to hit her feet it would be only preasure and slight pain. If they were able to manuver around, they would have gotten her legs. But she made sure to make her aim count. She hopped her attack would scatter the little group for a more easy target.

Tyrant lunged from the brush from the side with his two half brothers, Razor and Rapture. Quickly the Trio moved around, each in the back of the group. Tyrant was first to come up. Bitting at Scraffs neck and snarling loudly after to gain the other’s attention.

As Tyrant grabbed for Scraff, Razor moved toward Meteor. Only after the loud snarl was given did Razor bite at his deer. He went for the throat and would thrash until something gave way. Making his own snarls to make Hark completely paniced.

As the other two went for the necks, Rapture moved for a front leg, biting down and thrashing to break the bone if he could. He attacked right after the other two, hoping Harks attention was fully on them.

As her brother and half brother’s sprung to her aid, Wither moved around and went after Bramble Moving from the back she went for his front leg to crush it between her teeth.

Sacrifice Rushed in to see Rasja on the ground with one deer flailing at her and another concentrating to kill. Quickly she darted through the meadow. Light on her paws as her vocals seemed to silence themselves. Like a ghost, and as silent as one, she made her way up to the deer and between his front legs from behind to snag the throat when he was in the deepest of his concentration. The very beginning of his thrust toward the tigress. Hopefully in panic he would pull up at the last split second with her bite. If not she would easily gouge his throat while he stabbed at the cat.

Cavan

Trotting along the edge of the field, Cavan continued to keep check on the pack's progress with his good eye. "Keep some alive! We need stags if we want yearlings next year!" He howled out, seeing that most of the stags were being targeted for death. "Break their legs, cripple them! Just don't kill every one of them!"

When Risen and the others arrived, Cavan decided it was time to get into action. Hoping that the new arrivals caught the gist of what he was saying, the scar-laden brute entered the melee. It was extremely unerving to be surrouned by so many flailing hooves, antlers, and jaws. His hearing was badly impaired, and he was completely blind on one side. And with the ground vibrating with all the tussles, there was no way for him feel any enemy advance on him. For this reason, he choose to target a deer that was already held by others.

Nitro looked like a likely target. The stag was young; he would be a good canidate to let live, so long as he was given wounds that would impair his fighting skills in the future. As Toxin went for a hind limb, Cavan sprang for the neck. But unlike the others, his fangs were not directed towards the juglar, windpipe, or spine. He was going for the thick muscles. To shred them up and render them useless. To make it hard for the deer to hold his head high and fight when the rut came around. To give him a reason to need.... well, he'd explain the rest of it when the deer were subdued.

Leope, Callholm, & Guntar

Callholm dug his claws in, using his weight to help pin the deer down as Khoas took him by the shoulder. Rounded ears swiveled to hear Cavan's words, just before the leopard would have sent his canine for Tinedal's throat. "Maybe we should break two of his legs?" The cat suggested as he looked to Khaos, while doing his best to keep the stag steady.

Leope stood solidly when the two stags came his way, the side of his lip drawn up in a vicious cat snarl, utterly defiant in the face of this danger. When wolves converged on Rift, the lion dashed suddenly to the side to get out of Sumac's way. The tip of his tines scored three bloody furrows across the cat's flank, but it didn't slow him any. Mad as a hornet, Leope sprung at the deer's side. His teeth aiming for the throat while he tried to dig all of his claws into the other's flesh and drag him to the ground in lion style.

Guntar released the old stag once he was dead. Three down now. The siberian tiger stalked through the ranks of fighters, searching for his next target when Cavan's words reached him. Well, he had killed one so far, so the next one would just be wounded. Spotting six young stags going after the injuried Krpt, Guntar found his next victim. Donovan. Bursting into a run, the tiger leapt for the deer with paws outstretched. If he could catch the younger, his fangs would go for the upper front leg area, where he'd try to crush the main bone there...

Monarda

Red-tainted wolf navigated through the crowd as wolf, bear, horse, and cat began to engage the deer. Most of the stags were being taken on by some pack member, so Monarda choose to help out Rapture. As the wolf went for one leg, Monarda went for the other. Instead of trying to break any bones, the wolfess attempted to severe the major tendon of the hind leg and further cripple the massive red deer...

Tersek & Lion

Tersek stood directly in the way of Nettle, confident that he could take on this prey animal, antlers and hooves be damned! And he may have gotten trampled and gored if his brother hadn't stepped in and tackled the larger Tersek out of the way. "Use your common sense, bro!" Lion barked in exasperation, tumbling across the ground along with a very furious Tersek, "Those horns can kill a bear just as easily as they can you!"

Tersek rolled his eyes, picking himself up, "You're too cautious, Lion. How're you ever going to get stronger and bolder without taking some risk?" But he didn't have time to stand their and argue with the thick-ruffed brother of his, who undoubtly saved him from a vicious trampling; if not from death. As Silver Trace aimed an attack at the stag's neck, Tersek went for the face of the creature. Trying to grasp his muzzle and yank him down to the ground; suffocate him.

Giving Tersek a worried look, but deciding he was safe enough for the moment, Lion picked his way through the carnage until he found Terrel. As the deer's brother was getting taken on, Lion went for him. Since it looked like Nettle was slated for death, Lion decided to cripple his target. Instead of a hind leg, the hybrid choose to target the front leg...

Incalia & Krypt

Krypt was smirking as he charged for Zhaa, but found himself the target of lots of stags. His eyes widened as he spun round, but luckily found others come to his aid. Once again, the crippled wolf spun round and charged for Zhaa, launching himself for a throat hold, bloodied jaws wide.

Incalia shook her head violently before dropping her kill. She smirked, giving a nod to Guntar, before looking up for another target. Donovan was spotted first. She rushed round his side as fast as her damaged body would allow, and form the side charged for the young buck, leaping up for a throat hold.

Nhosh & Others

Solange swayed this way and that, stomping his hooves and thrashing his antlers to try and fend off the wolves, but all the circling that Halabex was doing did not sit well with the stag's mauled hind quarters. On top of that, an old shotgun wound left him less mobile than he use to be. He bellowed again, defiant till the end as the killers closed in. As he took a bluff charge at Hal, Shattered made for his throat. Yet the haggard stag saw this from the corner of his wide eyes and pivoted around sharply, slashing his tangled antler tines for her head. With enough force, if the connection made, to knock her senseless and gouge what ever skin made contact with his tines. This effort was one of his lasts though, for now his throat was wide open for Halabex to take his lunge. Unable to pull back quick enough from his swing, whether he hit the wolfess or not, he couldn't stop the other from grasping his throat. Teeth bore in deeply, until they struck upon his life vein. Solange tried to rear back, but his hindquarters could not bear the added weight of the wolf clutched at his neck. Even though doomed, Solange somehow remained on his hooves for a little longer, doing what he could kick at Halabex with his front hooves.

Huyen was about to make a rush for Villian, when he heard the valiant but pained cries of his twin brother. Giving up on Villian, the black stag bounded towards Solange, and in doing so, narrowly missing a deadly bite by Vicious. But the massive wolf still got a hold on a bit of flesh along the stag's shoulder. As Huyen plundged away, a flap of skin was torn away, leaving a large and bloody wound gaping in his shoulder. Stumbling but keeping his foot despite the searing pain, Huyen bolted past Vicious and headed right for Halabex. Like so many others had tried, the deer attempted to hook his tines in the soft abdomen of the canine and flip him upwards...

Preoccupied with Wither, Scraff didn't see the new threat until it was too late. Just as he was swinging himself around to face Tyrant, the male had leapt and dug his teeth into the tender gullet of the stag. Scaff bucked and kicked out, only to throw his own self off balance and crash onto his side. The force of the fall dragged the wolf's teeth through the major veins as well as through the windpipe. Blood gurgled from the wound, and spattered form the stags gaping mouth and flaired nostrils. He would not live more than a few minutes.

A few feet before Nitro would have reached Halabex, something snagged his hind leg. He fell proptly to his front knees as the bone-crushing jaws of Toxic did just what they were meant for- they broken his hind leg. With a bleating cry, the young white tail tried to stand up, but just then, Cavan had him by the neck. Pain jolted through the bite wounds, though he struggled madly against his attackers, kicking with all his might.

Gaudalupe, who only two years ago would have fallen victim to such an attack, had luck on his side. He spotted Darmus before the maddened dog could fully reach him. But he didn't turn around to slash his antlers at the canine. Instead, he used a technique learned from Nhosh. Just as Darmus was coming upon him, Guad turned to the side and kicked out with his hind limbs, aiming to catch the dog along the side of the head or jaw.

Meteor was one of the unfortunate ones. He was busy with attacking Wither, and like Scraff, didn't see Razor until it was far too late to correct his mistake. Two years spent with the Almuit Rune herd was wipe away in a matter of moments, as the wolf seized his desired hold on the fallow's vulnerable throat. Smaller than the other deer species, Meteor couldn't even pull away as the deadly canine penetrated his flesh and pierced into his life-giving bloodways. But he still struggled. And soon, his dark blood pooled thickly on the trampled, dead grass below him.

If any of the stags would be difficult to slay, Nhosh would be the worst. He snapped his head sharp to the side and down, flinging the cat to the ground as he prepared to crush in her ribcage before she could bring herself up. His plans were stopped when Risen showed up. Just as he was flinging his head, she was airborn and headed right for his throat. With no time to dash to the side or counter her attack, he could only brace for the jaws. His saving grace was the thick, shaggy main that adorned his neck. It was just enough to keep her teeth from going so far as to reach his vitals- yet. As the leader began to buck and kick out at the wolf, another stag came to his aid.

It was Radon, one of the two-year old red deer. With three stags on the crippled Krpt, Radon figured he wasn't so desperately needed their. Though unrelated to his lead, Radon knew it was his duty to save Nhosh. While Risen found her hold on the neck, Radon came barrelling across the meadow, head head traditionally low as he made for the lead wolfess. Careful to gage his run, so as not to harm Nhosh in the attempt, he tried to catch Risen in the chest with his tines.

Both Rapture and Monarda were successful in their attacks. Before the aging stag rightly knew what was happening, Rapture had taken hold of his hind leg, breaking the old bone clean through. And then the stag crumpled to the ground as his tendon was sliced.

Not put off by Rasja, at least not enough to flee, Lanthani charged her. His pelt was stained with crimson where her teeth and fangs left their mark, but not enough time had gone by to weaken his body from the loss of blood.

Seiberry found himself in a dire situation as Sacrificed hooked her teeth into his neck. While the teeth burried deep enough to strike a fatal wound, the stag panicked and tried to plunged forward and away from the wolf. But her weight caused him to faulter, and he crashed heavily onto his side; if Sacrifice didn't act fast, she'd find herself under the 100 pound deer. Not emense, but enough to knock the wind out of her and fracture some ribs with the force of his fall.

The lion had Rift's full attention. He'd never seen such a beast, and the odd main only made him look all that much larger. So distracted was the stag that he failed to see the attacker coming in from behind. Villian had the perfect opportunity to leap upon the creature's back. Jaws wrapped around the precise area, strong jaws applying enough pressure to pry and fracture the vertabrea. As if he had been struck by lightning, the massive stag dropped like so much dead weight against the ground.

Sumac was older, and could not quite keep up with the swifter lion. Like so many of his comrades, he bellowed his last when fangs tore into his throat and claws peirced his flesh. He struggled for a few moments, but in the end, gave in to the big cat's unrelenting jaws.

Nettle was a bit more spry, but also failed to see the imidate danger of Silver Trace. Still focused on Tersek, the sister succeeded in bringing her bite home. As the whitelipped deer faultered and tried to twist his head around to nab her with his antlers, Tersek caught his muzzle. He gave a muffled cry and struggled against the two, but it was all in vain. Silver's teeth soon worked in deep enough to cause sufficient damage. Another jugular broken. Nettle would be dead within a few minutes.

Zhaa's head was snapped back suddenly when Prison's hooves caught on his palmated antlers. One of his lovely crowns was snapped off, and the stag almost fell down. But his kind was evolved for taking punishment and impact to the head, so he was able to shake it off and focus on the real threat. Being young and fit, Zhaa had no trouble keep pace with a wolf that only had three good legs to run on. When Krpt leap for his neck, Zhaa easily paried by bringing his remaining antler swinging down to crash into the muzzle of the wolf.

Luke did not lose his antlers in the blow, but he did fall to the ground. Luckily for him, no one was attacking him. Staggering to his hooves, he joined up with Idyn, Locust, and Valence as they continued their attack on poor Krpt.

Incalia scored her second kill when she targeted Donovan for death. While he was going for Krpt, she was able to come in without his imediate notice and snag his throat. Teeth tore through his vitals, quickly spilling his life blood upon the ground, and upon the dog that attacked him. Another stag was dead.

Terrel and Bramble were taken down next. Wither made good in her attack, and the young white-tail had a broken leg before he could turn quick enough to jab the wolf. With a painful bleat, he stumbled and tried his best to arch his neck around and get her. Terrel was in even worse shape, with a tiger pinning him down and break through his front leg, while Lion hit the other.

And Little Earth was the next fatality. Bloodlust took the young stag by surprise as he tried desperatley to help his friends. Just as so many others had fallen, Earth crumpled before Bloodlust, his life draining away as blood seeped from his body.

Bloodlust

Bloodlust heard Cavan and swiftly changed courses to attack with the pack. She needed to prove herself worthy, and thats what she would do.

Risen and the braidy bunch

Halabex felt his hold but the hooves found a mark on his upper chest and knocked him down to the ground. As he turned he spotted Huyen rounding up on him, quickly he turned and began another circle around the two, this time limping painfully. He hoped he could get Solange’s heart racing to finish him off faster. He looked for an opening in Nitro’s stance now. Bitting at his legs with powerful bites. He would try to insure two breaks. Which leg didn’t matter as long as he could get to them without hurting himself more. Though he heard the cries of Shattered, he winced and knew he could be next. --

Rasheetah watched now as her alpha flew through the air. It was then she saw her opening and bit at the deers front legs. Letting all of her strength clench her jaws as she sprung back to pull the limb out of place and/or snap the bone in two. --

Risen’s teeth sunk in but she could feel that his scruff was to think. Quickly she dropped down and aimed for his hind leg. Thrashing about to gain his attention as Rasheetah went for the front. --

After Tyrant victory he turned to see his sister being attacked by two deer. Quickly he darted at Radon. His jaws flying at the hind leg and yanking back to pop the joint out of its socket. If the force was enough to bring the deer down he would go for his throat and attempt to kill him. --

Villain looked up and caught the sight of the alphess ready to collide with Nosh. He growled as the beast stood his ground and came to aid the two. Quickly moving to the hind end he went for the other leg. Grabbing and yanking back if he could get the leg in his mouth. He was going for the same goal as Rasheetah --

Vicious watched his son as he attacked Radon. He knew he would have to help and quickly took after the deer. While his son grabbed his hind end he went for a front leg. Pulling back to keep the deer from moving and hopefully aid in his falling. He would let Tyrant finish him off.--

Sacrifice felt the weight fall and quickly jumped off. Landing hard and panting for a moment. Favoring a selected foor before she began to look around for more

She watched as Rasja had another attack by a Lanthani. Quickly she made her way around and grabbed at the deer’s foot and yanked back as hard as she could to keep him from hitting the Tigress. She hoped the bone would break so that Rasja would be able to kill him. --

Shattered didn’t expect the brute to round on her and all too quickly saw the slow motion of a pointed edge pears through her right eye. As he swung he brought the optic out with the horns as well as leaving a branchy wound on her head. She would have been knocked senseless if she had not been driven into a painful fit of whails and terrble cries as blood dripped from a now vacant soccet. Quickly curling to the floor the satin female growled and bit at any one and everyone one who neared her. She had never experienced so much pain in her life. --

Wither spotted Idyn all alone and made her way to him. Quickly she made her way from behind him and grabbed at his neck. Hoping to tear out the viens.--

Silver Trace moved around, spotting Idyn she swiftly made her way up to behind him, and lept up to claw his back and bite at his neck. Hoping to break it swiftly, Thrashing about as Wither moved to bite the neck. If his head went up, she would break it, if the head wend down. Wither would have caught it.--

Toxic jumped and bit at the front legs as Nitro's fell to the floor. Watching them for slower movement until she reached for one of his front legs to break it. It was when she heard more moving in and she turned to race for the others. Her sights were on Valence as she raced to him. Coming up from the side she attacked his hind legs. With furious bites she attempted to break the limbs. --

Darmus saw nothing but the Guad and saw in slow motion as it’s foot came right toward his face. Snarling he clenched his teeth and felt a pop as the food made contact with his face. Creating a dribbling stream of blood form from just below and infront his left eye. The deer had fractured his face. Angerly he moved around the deer. Snarling savagely. Bitting where-ever he could. What ever was open he bit at. His eyes were lost, he did not even look where he bit. He just kept his gaze on the others eyes. As if he could read what the deer would do next. It was at this moment Darmus was most deadly. --

Prisoner watched as the deer regained themselves then ran over to Locust and kicked sharply at his front legs. Hoping to snap the both of them at once, if not at least send him to the ground. So she could jump on his legs and break them.--

Rapture watched as Prisoner made her attack on Locust, Only after she would have gained his attention and/or knocked him down did he bite for the throat.--

Razor felt his victory but knew it would be short lived if he didn’t help. Quickly he darted strait for Luke. Flying past him then turning around and coming back for his throat or gut. Which ever was the most open. Of course he preferred the neck. --

Broken watched as the battle raged on and began to seek Zuk and Quell. Quickly she found them and darted toward them. Eyes seeking Zuks neck. When she found it, she lunged and bit vigorously until the body lay lifeless. She would then move and circle around Quell snapping at feet to get him on the ground so she could take out his throat. (I have no idea who is left but I know these two ran away.

KAOS

Kaos could have been called crazy for simply jumping into fight with such a young buck, but he had learned to fight that way. If it wasn't for someone else suddenly grabbing hold of the fallow, he probably would have met those antlers. Luckily he hadn't, though, and instead he just kept his eyes locked on the target.

Kaos grinned as he felt his jaws close around Tinedal's shoulder, but that wasn't enough to accomplish anything. He caught Callholm's words easily, as the leopard was attacking the same deer, and he gave a gruff noise, just getting the word "yes" out of his mouth full of flesh. He then went to let go, and with a surprisingly quick and carefree jolt, lowered his aim and shot his jaws out for one of the fore legs, though making sure he stayed well off to the side so it'de be harder to stab him with the antlers. If he did manage to catch hold of the limb, he would bite down on it and try to crush the bone right between his jaws.

Rajsa

She watched the deer and saw the other comming behind him.She bared her fangs and moved quickly just incase the others bite did not grab his leg.But after what ever happened she postioned herself to strike at the neck right under. She then pushed her massive body forward and lunged for his neck with her teeths and her claws and feet went for his shoulders to clasp onto him.

Thunder's Call

As the grizzly picked his way through the bodies, he could see that every deer had at least one attacker on them. Except Solange, but the stag was clearly not going to live much longer with his lacerated throat. Figuring it was best to take the deer down before he might give one last attempt at gouging a wolf, Thunder stormed across the ground at full speed, before swinging a powerful paw at the stag's head.

Bloodlust

Bloodlust swiftly jumped back after reached Solange when she saw Thunder's Call taking a swip at the stag. Bloodlust knew that the stag would die, swiftly and not slowly. He wouldn't suffer much longer.

Incalia & Krypt

Krypt scolded himself as Zhaa started to close in on him. Before he could reach the stags neck, Krypt was smashed in the muzzle by the deer. He yelped as he was thrown to the ground and quickly rolled to stay out of the way of Zhaa's hooves. Picking himself back up, the wolf span round and launched himself for the stag's back leg, trying to snap it under Cavan's orders.

With a final shake, Incalia dropped the dead Donovan. Feeling proud of her 3 kills for the Haunters, two stags and Damaged, the hybrid division leader felt strong. As she surveyed the battlefield, her pride swelled as the Haunters slayed the stags. She smirked, glancing round for her next target. Her eyes narrowed as she honed in on Idyn, her next quarry. She had noticed the crippled Krypt staggering away from the four stags, and decided to help him out. Charging after the four stags, Incalia lashed out at Idyn, aiming for a hind leg. She aimed to snap it between her powerful scissor jaws and cripple the deer. Whether her attack was sucessful or not, Incalia then changed course for Locust and tried to do the same to him. Break his hind leg.

Yang

Well now, so he was late showing up. The white male with black spot came racing forward, and seeing his 'friends' under attack, he let loose a snarl he had never known he could do. He looked from wolf to wolf, trying to decide who to attack when he suddenly launched forth, heading for Incalia. His aim was for her own hind leg, trying to break it. With him coming out of no where and her eyes for Locust, he would quite surely get his mark.

Bloodlust

The fem pivoted and headed for the lead stag, hoping to assist some wolves on falling the leader.

Nhosh & Others

Solange bellowed again, slashing the ground with his hoof as his vision doubled. As Thunder's Call came for him, the stag turned to meet his maker. Digging his hindhooves in, he lunged forward just as the grizzly struck out. Tines swiped upward as the heavy paw came smashing down. Whether he had done any damage to the giant predator or not, Sol was slammed down with a grunt. His legs flinched, and then went still.

Tinedal struggled crazily against the big cat and wolf, but he could not rise to his hooves with Callholm holding him down. And he definitely could not get up once Khaos seized his front limb and sent his teeth grinding deep down to the bone. With a horrible cry, the stag's bone was crushed between the wolf's jaws. His side, and shoulder especially, were beginning to bleed heavily from the fangs and claws set in by the leopard. No matter what Tine did, he was going no where soon.

Nitro, despite his youth and strength, could not fend off three wolves. While Toxic and Cavan had him occupide, Halabex succeeded in breaking a front and hind leg. The stag was soon down, unable to stand up while Cavan and Toxic had a hold of him.

Guadalupe spun this way and that, parrying Darmus when he could with his antlers, and dashing his deadly hooves at the chow. But as quick as the young stag was, Darmus seemed insatiable in his drive for blood. Before long, Gaud's black fur was stained with the oily marks of blood. His bloodied mouth was gaped open as he panted for breath, and his sides heaved. After several minutes of this grueling game, Gaudalupe was too exhuasted to keep up with the chow, and had lost enough blood too keep him weak for quite a while.

Mane bristled out, Nhosh roared as he kicked out and scythed his antlers at his enemies, but there were just too many on him. Unable to stop his tormentors, a front leg was broken, followed by a back leg. The other back leg was dislocated at the ankle joint. Bloodlust added insult to injury with her attacks, leaving the fallen lead mauled as well. With only one good leg, Nhosh was not going anywhere, despite his furious efforts. It wasn't long before his eyes glazed with shock and pain, and his struggling slowed down. He wasn't dead, but he was no longer a threat to the others.

Lanthani was taken down quickly by the duel efforts of Rasja and Sacrifice. As the wolf caught his hind leg, the tiger caught his neck. In a matter of moments, he spine was broken, and the stag was dead.

Zhaa was keeping up pretty well with Krypt, greatly advantaged by having all four legs intact and undamaged. It was an unlucky bit of fate that gave the wounded wolf the upper hand though. As the young fallow whirled to meet Krypt's attack, he tripped on his own antler, which had been snapped off by the horse. With an gasp, the deer fell, his neck and face getting gorged by his own tines. And then, Krpt had the opportunity to grasp the fallen deer's hind limb, and break it before he could get up.

Idyn didn't stand much of a chance. He lashed and kicked out at the wolves, but they still reached his throat. Brought down by their weight, he kicked and struggled, but to no avail. His throat was nearly severed, and he was dead within moments.

Terrel was too honed in on Krypt. Guntar had him thrown to the ground with teeth at his upper leg. Thrashing wildly under the weight of the giant cat, Terrel was no match. His limb was broken like a twig. Lion further manled the lower portion of the limb with his own bite.

Bramble fell too, as Wither took his hind leg and broke the lean limb before he could turn around. Falling to the ground, the young stag struggled back to his three good hooves. But unalbe to use one hind leg, he couldn't really rush anyone. And so, he stood uncertainly, aiming his small antlers at Wither and trying to keep her at bay.

Radon and Luke were the next two victims, each falling under a deadly throat bite. Kicking feebly on the ground until their blood ran thick in the dead grass below them.

Locust was taken down very swiftly by the horse. His front leg was fractured, along with one rib. Before he could get up, one hind limb was shattered by her hooves, while his ankle was twisted and the bones popped out of place. Writhing in pain, the young stag, tried to drag himself out of her way. Just before Rapture reached him, Locust tucked his head down, leaving his branched antlers to meet the wolf's gaping jaws.

Valence fell with the others as his hind legs were broken. He tried to rise up, but the wounded limbs would not support his weight.

Cavan

Cavan released Nitro when it was apparent that the stag wouldn't be a threat any longer. He patrolled around the blood-soaked area until he came to find that ever stag was either dead or sufficiently wounded. "Leave the rest alive!" He howled out, before looking around at the Haunters, "Half of you are to head out and find the hinds and yearlings. Round them up and bring them back here. If any of them give you trouble, break a leg so they cannot run from you."

Cavan padded through the carnage as he headed for Risen and the badly mauled Nhosh. A bloodied grin was given, "When times get tough, we will have a secure supply of food. Their legs will never heal properly- these stags will never be a threat to us again. All we need is a place to keep them where they can't escape." He explained, looking rather smug as he spoke to Risen.

Incalia, Litharaz & Krypt

At Cavan's orders, both fighters stopped.

Krypt dropped the broken leg triumphantly, angered by the fact his own back leg was broken, but none the less proud of himself. The crippled wolf then surveyed the damage done, before trotting as best he could, over to Razor. Any orders for me?

Incalia's tongue flashed over her bloodied muzzle as she looked up at Cavan's words. A huge smirk plastered her face as she padded over towards Cavan and Risen. Her shoulder was peirced in multiple places by Solange, bleeding badly, but the powerful hybrid paid no attention to it. Calling Kaos over with a sharp bark, as well as Litharaz, Incalia came to a halt beside Cavan. My division will go out to find the hinds. With a nod, accompanied by a psychotic sneer, she turned to pad across the Prairie in search of the hinds and fawns, followed by Litharaz.

Incalia & Litharaz

In front came a bloodied and battered monster. Incalia, the hybrid division leader of the Shadow Haunters, padded across the Prairie searching for the hinds and fawns to round up after the massacre of the stags. Her blood-stained gums were pulled back to reveal crimson tainted razor fangs as the powerful hybrid stalked through the land. Find the hinds and fawns, If you spot them, surround them. Threaten them by all means, if they refuse to comply break some legs. Now, we want to round them up and bring them back to the pack. Lets go. Trusting her nose, Incalia began to search for the hinds.

Litharaz did the same, intently listening and watching for the group.

Risen .+. Others

Risen had stayed on her grab for a while until the stag could no longer hurt them. Moving back she was ready to make the finishing blow. But the sound of Cavan's calls entered her lobes and she turned to him. She was ready to debate the matter but as he spoke of a pantry more and more ideas began to flood her mind. Her psychotic grin twisted her lips and she spoke in an eerie hearty tone. "Dear Cavan that is a wonderful idea! And they shall be of much more use than that. We can train their offspring to be warriors. We can use them as traps and further more for practices. Yes they will be our pantry, as well as their offspring to be our army." She turned to the group of fallen stags and barked at Prisoner.

"Prisoner, you will take in and train warrior fawns. Only males are to fight, since they have the weapons to." She spat at their antlers. "Only three will be selected during each season. They will grow to be just as feared as we are, and just as powerful. But where do we keep them?"

Prisoner walked up with a short snort. Turning her head to Mikia to signal it was safe to come out. Then again faced Risen and Cavan. "If you don't mind, I think their horns should be removed. The antlers pois a threat no matter how crippled their legs are." Risen nodded, "Right, Half the group come and try to remove their antlers, they wont be needing them anymore."

Razor turned to Krypt. Razor was exhausted but had nothing more than bruises and scratches. As Krypt asked what he was suppose to do, Razor simply shook his head to the comrade. "You shouldn't be doing much more on that leg of yours. The fight is over...Risen!" The alpha lifted her head in acknowledgment. "There are some that are badly injured that should not continue on their missions. We should send them to Quilikahm. Would that be alright?" Risen was just about ready to decline to suggestion, they were in no more danger and the others who were still mobile could help. But the sound of a painful whine continued in the background.

Shattered was rolling over herself in pain. A small puddle of blood forming around her face as she wallowed in the dirt. Both eye lids were clampted shut, but the right one was concaved, and the branch like cuts were begining to collect clods of dirt. Risen grimaced unnoticably, Shattered would not be any help in the condition she was in. "Fine, take her, all else who feel they really must go to the healer, you will be led by Krypt." She nodded to him then turned back to the business at hand.

Razor nodded to the brute. Krypt had a responcibility and that was to get the injured back to the temple safely. Tyrant strode up with a nod. "I'll stay in the back of the group in case trouble should arrive." With that he positioned himself to take up the end of the little group.

Silver Trace had lost her three quaters of her tail and a chunk of her left hind leg. The adrinaline was wearing thin and she could no longer bear any weight on the leg. She limped and moved toward her friend, her half sister, "Come Shattered, you will see the healer first." She cooed. Shattered acted as if she heard nothing, continueing rolling on the ground. A few more words were spoken from Silver and after a while Shattered arose and headed toward Krypt. Her right eye clamped tightly with a watterfall of drying blood oozing from the displacement. Her left eye was bearly open, she was being guided purely by Silver and her own ears.

As they got close to Krypt she nodded. "We are ready to go." Rasheetah growled softly, "I am fine enough to stay, but I cannot run as fast as usual. Should I help track down the Hind and fawns?" Risen nodded and selected a few to do so. Incalia and Litharaz were already hot on the trail, She pointed out Bloodlust, Rapture, Tavern(Toxic), Monarda, and Halabex. "The rest stay here and help take care of the antlers." She looked especially to Thunder, the bear would easily be able to snap the antlers from their heads. Or so she thought. Rasja, you and Wither are to look for a place to keep the deer! go."

The white female looked up and strode over to the tigress. Nodding to her then moving toward the land just north (Golden Rose Canyon). Razor came up to one of the more weaker males and placed his paw upon and antler to hold it still, then began to gnaw at the base of the hardened bone. Villain came up and held the other antler at its base. Both males began to gnaw at the same time, hoping to crush through the limbs. Unsure if they would suceed.

Prisoner had a more blund approach. Moving toward Zhaa who had already broken some of his antler, She reared up and bolted her limbs toward the other antler, hoping to snap it off quickly without killing him in anyway. She nickered for Mikia to come and help. One by one she would raise up and stomp down to break off the lethal limbs

Rajsa

She bobbed her dial and the tigress followed wither though she caught up to her and stayed either in front of her or beside her.She had a small nick on her shoulder but that didn't do to much harm.

Monarda

Seeing that the remaining stags were going anywhere, she padded dutifully towards Risen and listened to the orders. At once, she spoke up, "If it may be of interest, my time alone as a youngster served me well in the way of exploring the Valley. Take a trek to the north, and as you hit the Eskers- just before reaching the Mountains - you'll find a giant cage. Massive enough to fit thousand deer in, with room for more." She pointed out, her gaze settling to the north before shifting back to Risen, head tilted to the side a touch, "When I can across it, there were no scent of humans. I did find some old horse bones and the scattered remains of dogs. But otherwise, the place was abandoned. It was several months ago, but still... the place was run down and I doubt humans will be back. And the big cage, I traveled it the length around, for reasons of curiosity. There is only one way in." The red-tinged wolf looked back at the stags now before once again to her alphess. Little did she know, this was the place where a good majority of Nhosh's herd had originated from. "I hope that may be of some help." Monarda dipped her head in a respectful salute before turning away, nose to the ground. She had caught a breeze from the west, and it told of hinds and fawns. The wolf followed it to the Shadow Hedge.

Krypt

Krypt head was turned in the direction of his alphess, her orders imprinting his brain. With a nod, the injured wolf padded towards the fallen, helping them up. When everyone was ready, Krypt nodded to Razor, before slowly beginning the journey back to the Ruins, keeping guard over the injured as best he could.

Leope, Callholm, & Guntar

Of the group, Leope had a series of deep lashes across his side, which had spilled blood down the entire length of his chest. But the bleeding was slowing to a stop, and the injuries were not terribly severe. Shrugging off the pain for the time being, the lion padded over to Risen, "We can help move the stags."

Bloodlust

Bloodlust was on a mission, to find the hinds. They were defenseless and couldn't deal much damage to a wolf unless the wolf had no mind. "I smell them."

Litharaz

Rather proud of his acting, Lith padded back to the Prairie, every now and again stopping to check the fawns were behind him. His story of how the Haunters had attacked him, and how he knew someone who could help them had convinced the deer to follow him. Lith had promised them safety, and in a way, they would get it. However it would probably be different to how they imagined it. He stopped just over the border, where the smell of dead corpses and blood would just reach them. He turned back to the fawns, his eyes wide as he seemed to cower. Lets head for the cover of those tree's, Then I'll call for my friend. She's been watching the Haunters and saw them coming for you so I came to save you. The've left here, so we'll be safe. Once she gets to us, we can try and help the stags, but you've got to trust me and listen to me, Ok? With a small nod, the Shepherd padded into a small thicket of trees which would provide 'good cover', when actually, it was pretty poor. Stay here and stay low, I'll be back in a second. With a small smile, which looked to be one of fear, Lith slipped away through the thicket and out into the open land so the fawns wouldn't be able to see him. With a quick yip, Lith bounded towards Risen and the others. Quick, I've got the fawns here with some false story about saving them from us, and possibly helping their fathers. I have a plan, Risen. I told them I had a friend who could help, and that we'd been attacked by the Haunters, us. So if you come with me and act scared, like we've been attacked, we can lure them into a flase sense of security. They think they're safe because I've told them you've all gone to find the rest of the herd. If you and me tell the fawns to follow us to help the stags, the rest of the pack can surround them when we get into open land. This way they can't escape, we'll have them where we want them. Unless, you have a better idea? We'll have to be quick, they're waiting in that thicket. Lith directed his muzzle in the direction of the deer, before turning back to Risen, pleased with himself.

Risen .+. Others

Risen looked around her pack as the deeds were being done. Then turned her head with dignity as Litharaz ran up. Her eyes glowed and she smiled. " Yes that will be a great idea. Although now that you blame the incident on the Haunters, they will fear our names and be more reluctant to comply to our wills." turning back to the group she barked the orders. "Act like a rescue team when the group comes up. Don't let your lies fail, one slip and you will be on your way back to the temple for pup-sitting.!" With a snarl she turned and trotted along toward the fawns. Instantly picking up a brave look. She was tired and panting from the fight, it added to the act.

Coming through the brush she eyed them all. Kindness held deep in her orbs though the sense of 'this is my job' was shown through. " Children, my friend tells me you are from the rest of the group." She looked around, her eyes filling with sorrow. "Are there any others? W-we fear they might have killed them all. There are only a few stags that live. We were able to chase off the attackers but we must relocate you temperarily just in case they come back with bigger numbers." She lowered her head in sigh. Eyes closed, "I hope this is not all that lasts, we might have to take them to the humans to care for them if it is. The stags cannot defend themselves much less these little guys." she turned a pained expression apon them and shook her head. "Come darlings, We have a search group seeking the rest of the group. If you are all that survives we will have to take you to the humans until the bucks are well enough to defend themselves again. Though that will be well over a year. Those cruel beasts removed their antlers, they are defenceless." She came out of the brush, leading the group with coaxing soft tones. By now the pack would have moved all of the stags in the middle, only 12 remained alive.

It was then that Wither came bounding forth, her eyes catching Risen and the fawns and she somehow read the story. Coming up beside her alpha she spoke in a hurried tone. "Ritza, W-we found a place for them to stay! " Risen turned her head, and nodded. "Lith! Help Wita bring the foals to the safety area." Turning to them. "Children you will be safe with these two. They will not let any harm you at all. Kippa will assist you as well." Sacrifice moved forward slowly, a kind look well depicted on her face. She was the ultimate actor. "Hello Children, My name is Kippa.. I..." She lowered her head and paused with a quiet whine. "I'm sorry for what has happened to you. But we cannot weep for them now, the ones alive will be safe and will be brought to you in time, but we must take you to safety first. It is what they want, to keep their children safe." She let water whel up in her eyes and turned, giving a nod to Wither to lead the way.

Risen watched with a sad look then turned, well out of view from the fawns she gave a wicked smile. But her tone was of the authority of help. "Round up the survivors and help them to the lands, I will stay here to wait and escort any others if the groups are successful in finding survivors. I-I hope we aren't to late." She pause and lowered her head. Hoping to play every note just right.

Nhosh & Others

Most of the stags were too weak, wounded, or shocked to put up much of a fight. Nhosh, though unable to stand, gave his tormentors a heck of a time before his own antlers were busted off. Prisoner was the most successful in her efforts, with her hooves snapping most of the antlers off by the time the wolves had finished gnawing through the first pair.

The group of wide-eyed, frightened fawns followed Litharaz in without question. Upon scenting blood and predators, they became even more terrified and controllable. Creeping into the thicket, the group settled down amonst the branches, to afraid to utter a sound.

Sasha

Sasha was late. But what would she do anyways? She was a doe, and not made for fighting. But the herd was in danger and she had to do something. She ran to the group of attackers and let out a shrill call. "If you touch them I'll kill you myself!" She had plenty of strength, but not the strength to kill a whole group of carnivores. She knew that it may be the last thing that she did, but she would sacrifice her life to save those she loves.

Jack/Min

The African Wild Dog ran to the deer herd. The deer had helped him, so he had to help them. He was about to attack, but Min stopped him.

"Wait until Joli gets here. If she does not come, stay out of it." She said softly. "I will not lose you a third time."

Jack sat down. "Fair enough." He watched the fight from a distance, waiting to be called upon by Nhosh, Wycliff or any of their herd, or waiting for his friend to arrive. His wounds brought him much pain, but he ignored it.

Rajsa

she had come back with wither and heard everything she just watched.

Risen .+. Others

Risen spun her head around as a fawn came running up to them. She had never seen this one in her life. "You are late, the attackers moved on." She said in a generals voice. Her eyes narrowing as a wolf wild dog and an antelope type creature showed up. "Who are they." She growled deeply. "Are you another against this herd?" Villain now began to nudge some of the stags up. He was hoping to get one on the edge of passing out, or blinded by pain. "Come," He whispered gently, loud enough for the other to hear, a kind look upon his face, then his tones lowered so that only deer could hear. "If you do not come we will kill all your doe and fawns." With that he pushed his weight against the fallen one, Prisoner called out to Mikia, "Help me take the ones with broken legs." Moving around to Nosh first, she began to push up on him, hissing as well so that only he could hear. "If you want the killing for today to stop you will comply. Many more lives can be shed if you resist. We already have all your little ones, ready to die if you do not come and stay quiet." She was happy, actually happy that Nosh did not recognize her. For she was one of the first horse foals to live in these lands. Painted had come with the red filly, and now the filly was a full grown mare, an evil one at that.

Darmus had been hanging around the fallen stag. His eyes quivering in their holds, but Halabex had told him not to kill. Oh how he wanted to kill! But he obeyed his master and looked to Risen. Why did he have to listen to her? Again his masters voice rung in his head "These are our friends, and we will help them, you will serve her as you do Toxic." he growled softly under his breath and began to push up the deer. A wicked smile upon his fluffy face, Turned against the group that had come in. "Come old bag, or die. You are lucky you are not dead already." He almost let a loud snarl escape, but he shut his trap with gleaming eyes, ready to lead the deer to the hold.

Risen continued to face the group of intruders when Sacrifice came up. "If you are here to help, you can help us take them to safety. Either that of you can go after the group that has attacked them." Her eyes were full of sorrow and pain, there was not even a hint of anger behind them. "Th-they headed off south of hear. Toward the marsh and swamps. We have a few chasing after them who have yet to return." Quickly she turned to Risen. "Ritza, a-are they ok?" Risen turned a caring eye upon Rasheetah, "Skit, they will be fine... I promise." A bright glow crossed Rash's lips and she raised her tail, then faced the group. Risen growled lowly, "How do we know you are not going to hurt this group?" She asked sternly. Ready to 'defend' the group if nessicary.

Litharaz

Returning with a weak smile, Lith weaved through the fawns, seeming to be checking them over. As Risen gave him orders, he nodded. Come along children, We'll look after you. The shepherd followed Sacrifice, bringing up the rear of the fawns. He spun round, eyes wide as Sasha came over, followed by some others. He glanced to Risen, Wither and Sacrifice, before facing Sasha and the Wild Dogs. Stay away, you lier! We won't hurt them, you will! He swung his head round to the fawns. Stay with Wita, children. Kippa, we must protect them, who knows what these monsters will do to them. Spinning back round to face the 'monsters', Lith bared his fangs, lowering his body defensively. Spotting Rajsa, he guestured for her to come and join them, but keep up the act. Then he called out to the cat. Ralla, These evil animals want to hurt these innocent fawns, you must help us protect them! He hoped Rajsa would answer to the name 'Ralla' and keep up the act by joining himself and the others.

Nhosh & Others

The fawns were confused and frighted, hardly able to take in what was going on around them. One wolf after another spoke, and the shocked yearlings got the gist of what was going on. These were... the good guys then? They did not speak, they did not really acknowledge those who spoke to them. Instead, they blindly followed Wither and the others that were leading them around. It wasn't until Bask saw his father and brother laying on the ground that a sound was heard from the group. "DAD!! DON!!!!" He cried out, plunging forward towards the bloodied corpses. Lavender quickly rounded infront of the yearling, cutting him off and shouldering him back to the group, "Bask, d-don't look!" The axis hind tried her hardest not to look as well, although she was sure she had caught a glimpse of Lanthani lying motionless in a pool of blood and trampled earth. She was shaking badly, but had enough sense of mind to keep Bask in line and obey the predators; whether they were trustworthy or not. Slowly, the group headed out under the lead of Wither.

Nhosh gritted his teeth against the pain, but could not refuse the mare's orders. He had to do all in his power to ensure the safety of the herd's yearlings - the herd's future. "You are mad! Imre will see to an agonizing death to you, mark my words." He hissed at Prisoner as he staggered to his hooves. The stag collapsed once, but somehow managed to get up a second time. He had to put almost his entire weight against the horse, and going would be horribly slow. But he could manage.

Tinedal and the rest of the stags rose slowly, one by one as the Haunters gathered around. The fallows blood-shot, glossy eyes looked out to the group of yearlings. A great weight seemed to drop in his heart when he spotted Xanthipe in the group- his daughter. He wanted to yell to her, tell her to run, not to trust these feindish creatures. But that would surely be the death of not only him, but her as well.

Gaudalupe kept his eyes on Darmus, and never once fell down. But he was trembling badly and his eyes had a ghostly, haunted glaze to them. A lot of his blood had been shed, and his muscles filled with toxins from all the damage he took from the chow. The young stag was in a trance-like state, and didn't even see the yearlings as they were led through the area. When the rest of the stags were being led away, he staggered along after them.

Bloodlust

Bloodlust watched, her lips forming a pant. "This will end soon." She panted, her front right leg had taken a big blow by a stag's antlers. She was no use, since there bare many other scars on her body and rapid bleeding. She would live, she was fine just immoble to fight.
