Min

The Gerenuk ran through the long grasses and snow, looking in all directions for somebody who could save her friend. She stopped when she saw creatures that looked a little bit like her. They looked like they could help.

She ran even faster until she reached the herd of deer. "Help! My friend is dying!" She called out.

Wycliff, Hederas, Mahdis, Catal, Caspi, Alkena, & Alkana

The group of seven hinds were startled by the sudden approach of Min, and even more by her strange appearance. But Wycliff, with her white and tan-blotched coat, could hardly judge anyone by the way they looked. And besides, even though she had never seeen a gerenuk before, the creature was obviously deer-like. At least, enough so that they could see she was no predator.

"Who is your friend? Where are they?" Wycliff asked, as the other six hinds gathered around her and this strange creatured called Min.

Min

Tears rolled down Min's face. "He's Jack. He's at the Ashen Domes. I think he's going to die! He was attacked by some dogs!" She ran off, not wanting to mention that he was an African Wild Dog. She eventually blurted out, "I promise he won't hurt you!"

Wycliff, Hederas, Mahdis, Catal, Caspi, Alkena, & Alkana

The hinds behind Wycliff began to chatter quietly amungst themselves, not sure what to make of this situation. Wycliff herself gave it a long thought, but in the end, nodded to Min, "We will help you. Caspi, have Legend, Gaudalupe, and Nitro meet us at the Ashen Domes."

The young red deer nodded and sprinted away from the group.

Wycliff turned to Min again, "Lead the way, and we'll see what we can do."
