Unchanged Memory
The Arabian mare galloped to the oak prairie with a frightened look on her face. The last lands were going to be stolen soon, and she didn't want to let that happen. She first wanted safety, and this place seemed safe enough. Then she would fight, no matter what everyone tells her she can and can't do.
Mahdis, Alkana, & Alkena
While Nhosh was busy in a land to the west, and Wycliff with another stranger, Mahdis took it upon herself to investigate this newcomer.
The white-tail deer moved slowly at first, her yearling daughters traveling with her. Although yearlings, Alkena and Alkana were larger than their mother. They were hybrids, with their father being Nhosh, giving them the blood of the red deer.
"You are you?" Mahdis questioned, as she stepped in front of the mare, large ears perked up. Her daughters stood on either side of her, curious in this larger creature. They had seen horses before of course, and in fact, one lived in their terra.
Unchanged Memory
The mare looked down at the deer and said to them in a calm voice, "I am Unchanged Memory, and I seek the safety of your herd, as it seems to be the last place to reside in that's not ridden with wolves."
Mahdis, Alkana, & Alkena
"You've come to the right place, Memory. I am Mahdis, and these are my twins, Alkana and Alkena." The hind said, introducing herself and the yearlings, "It will have to be finalized by Wycliff, but I'm sure she will let you stay." Mahdis assured, then smiled as she added, "As we speak, our Stag Lead, Nhosh, is trying to make an alliance with a nearby horse herd. If things are settled, which I'm confident they will be, you could probably find a place with your own kind there. While still having the safety of our herd, in case wolves should cause trouble."
Unchanged Memory
"Thank you, Mahdis. It is good to meet you and your children." Said Memory, shaking her mane, "I will take a look at the horse herd."
