Black Wonder

A black mare stepped onto the land. She had heard the thunder of hooves near here. Her name was Wonder and she was looking for a herd. Wonder neighed. "I'm looking for a herd. I have no stallion." Wonder stopped and waited for a response

Alfilaria

The fallow deer was first to hear the call of the mare. She for one was not a deer to like horses. Her words were sharp and to the point most of the time. Running gracefully through the tall grasses, the small deer approached Black Wonder.

"We have no stallion here." Alfilaria replied shortly, her speckled head raised high and dignified, although the mare stood taller than her, "Unless you don't mind the company of deer, you can find a stallion to the south of our land, in the South of Haven herd." She might be cross and mean, but she didn't dislike Cosmic.

Painted

She had heard the noise of another horse and turned to Wycliff, "Pardon, There is a mare seeking a home, I'm not sure if she would like to join." She was wanting to be hopeful that another horse would join, just one so that she could speak with, and be another like her, other than her daughter. She wouldn't approach the mare unless Wycliff did first."

Wycliff, Alfilaria, Current, & Nhosh

Wycliff heard the call as well, "You're right. You can come along if you wish." Leaving the other hinds to their food, the red deer traveled quickly to where Black Wonder was. Quickly, Alfilaria backed off, but kept her head high.

Wycliff smiled to the mare, "You are very welcome to stay here if you like. Most of our herd is of deer, but we do have a mare and her filly living with us. I'm Wycliff, by the way. Lead hind of the herd."

An old red deer came sprinting towards the group, her gait stiff with age and her muzzle softened with white fur. "Wycliff! I appologize for interupting, but Cosmic... he requests a meeting with you, Nhosh, and the two mares..." Current paused to catch her breath, and stood their panting with the effort of her run.

Wycliff was instantly alarmed by Curren'ts words, for there was worry etched in her voice and face. "Of course, Current."

Black Wonder

Wonder snorted. "Yes I'm looking for a herd. I was once helped by deer, they helped me find food." Wonder stepped a little closed to the leader a little nervous.

Wycliff, Alfilaria, & Current

"You are very welcome to join us, then." The hind said in a kindly voice. Much to the displeasure of Alfilaria, who turned her back on the mares and sauntered briskly away.

Suddenly Wycliff shifted her head and looked intently in one direction. Nhosh and Cosmic needed her. And the mares. "Please, come with me." She beckoned to Black Wonder and Painted as she sprinted away.

Black Wonder

Wonder followed then, kinda happy. Wonder snorted, she now had a home, a home again! Wonder whinnied happily.
