Kaylee

Kaylee was on horse territory and she knew it. the woman felt safe, though, aboard her comfy and smart mare named Oracle. the Anglo-Arab would keep her safe, she knew. Kaylee was a vet. she was being paid to watch and help all of the wild animals around the areas here - not that she cared for the money. Kaylee loved horses and wolves. of course, she couldn't have her own pet wolf, but she loved her precious Oracle all the same.
Kaylee had heard of many animals attacking and even killing humans, so she was catious. she glanced around her to make sure no animal was sneaking up on her and Oracle. but she had a rifle, full with tranquilizers. and there were two packs of them in her bag. plus, if any ferocious meat-eater was tempted by the sight of Oracle, Kaylee had also packed a bunch of meat. but she had put pills in them, and those would knock out any animals who consumed the meat. if that happened, Kaylee would make sure the animals were healthy.
but if she couldn't distract an animal with meat, Kaylee was sure that Oracle could outrun any wolf or puma. she was a fast mare, and agile, too. she could weave easily in-and-out of trees.
Kaylee gently clucked and thumped her mare. easily, Oracle leaped from her trot into a smooth canter. it was really comfortable, and Kaylee felt a smile stretching over her face. she soon scolded herself for drifting off. she had to concentrate. she had to sedate the horses living here, and she had to make sure they were healthy. Kaylee knew that there were few horses here, and though the population was growing, there weren't many equines. if there were any with fatal, contagious illnesses, she would have to destroy them. unless she found some place to keep them.

Desert Rose

She saw the horse with a two-legger aboard it. She stepped in front of their path her auds pinned back. Her eyes filled with a hatred for what the two leggers had done to her mother. She stood her pistons stiff. Though she was fleet enough to take flight on a dime. Her coat shone healthy, and it showed no scratches. She twitched her tail nervously and watched the two.

Kaylee

Kaylee was surprised as an equine was bold enough to step into Oracle's path. her chestnut mare was what could be called "dominant," and pinned her ears in anger at the disrespect. but Kaylee easily reined her back, giving a few pats and some soothing words. Oracle quickly calmed, though still catious of this new horse.
Kaylee soon turned her attention to Desert Rose and slowly - as not to spook the mare - took her backpack off. when her arm retreated from it and it when on her back, her hand held an apple. it had no tranquilizers. this mare looked healthy enough. still, Kaylee would come often to make sure the horses were okay. but while doing this, she would try to make friends... sort of.
whispering a few calming words to the mare, Kaylee backed Oracle slowly. she didn't want to spook the mare. still moving slowly, Kaylee showed Desert Rose the apple. if she had ever been around a place with apples, it might be familiar. maybe not, for Kaylee hadn't seen any apple trees around here.
the woman slowly rolled the apple towards the mare, like a bowling ball. she backed Oracle again, just in case Desert Rose decided to lunge at Oracle. if all seemed well, Kaylee would leave to see if there were any other horses here.
if she ever came to tranquilize the animals residing here, Kaylee would be hidden in a truck. she wanted the animals to trust her, and if she tranquilized them when she was aboard Oracle, the horses would probably remember Oracle and be reminded of what pierced their flesh.
Kaylee lightly scolded herself. she hoped that she never would have to tranquilize the horses here. still, she might be ordered to... just to make sure that they were healthy.

Desert Rose

She reared as the object rolled towards her. She landed 'pon it squishing it. She backed up her ears upright cautsious. She then lowered her plush and smelt the apple. She licked in tentavily the back away disapearing into the underbrush.
