Wycliff

The hind felt the crisp cold in the air and knew that winter would be short at hand, er, hoof. "Lets play a game of evasion, shall we? You two hide as well as you can, and Orchid and I will try to find you. Use your surroundings to your advantage." The hind stated, hoping her idea sounded fun enough to them.

Thorn

The yearling smiled and nodded with enthusiasm.

Yeah! Come on Bramble, lets go!!

The fawn darted away but stopped and turned around, waiting for the hinds to turn away and Bramble to follow.

Bramble

Bramble bounded after Thorn, flicking his little tail in joy. "This'll be fun!" Grinning, the yearling looked from Wycliff to Orchid. "No peeking now!" He called and waited as well for them to turn away.

Orchid

She smiled and turned away from the two, but couldn't help be calling back to them, "Be careful now! Don't wonder too far." The hind moved towards Wycliff now and grinned, "An interesting game you've devised."

Thorn

The yearling giggled before darting off. Her ears were pricked and she sped off calling back to Bramble to hurry up. She soon stopped and ducked down into the long grass. However she didn't know about the wind direction and ended up with the wind blowing towards the hinds with her scent. She, on the other hoof, didn't realise this and so she chuckled to herself whilst she continued to lay on the ground surrounded by tall grass near the big lake.

Bramble

He bounded after her in glee, feeling the sharp autumn wind against his tawny face. For the first time since his mother's and sister's death, he felt so very free and happy. Yet like Thorn, he failed to realize the direction of the wind as he plopped down beside her. Dipping his head close to the earth, he grinned at the other yearling, "I bet it'll take them forever to find us! Where do you think we should run if they do find us, though?" He wasn't sure if he could out run either of the hinds, but it would be fun trying.

Wycliff

A distant alarm bark and ensuing roars caught the hinds attention as the two yearlings raced away. She cast a worried look to Orchid, "That was Nhosh..." Then she scented it; wolves! Giving a single, sharp bark, the hind whirled around and dashed after the yearlings. "Bramble! Thorn!" She cried out, springing madly over the ground towards them. Picking up easily on their scents, she headed right for them, "Hurry, get up!"

Thorn

The yearling shot up when she heard Wycliffs alarmed calls. Immediatley she stood up and ran over to Wycliff calling out to Orchid.

Orchid

Orchid was off like a shot, following Wycliff to the yearlings. Her eyes were wide but defiant against the danger that lurked in the area, "We ought to find the stags. We don't have much defense against wolves, apart from running." The hind explained.
