Taipa*Pups

Now that her parents were aware of her pups, Taipa had spent the last few days getting to know her mother and siblings again, and relearning what it felt like to be cared for and loved unconditionally. It was something that, while in Bane's company, she'd forgotten, and there were still times when she would flinch reflexively away from physical affection, only to see the pain in her mother's or siblings' eyes, prompting her to return the touch in reassurance that it wasn't them that frightened her.

What was hardest of all was introducing her eight pups to their grandmother and aunts and uncles, and learning to trust them to watch and not harm the little things. None of them had ever done anything to suggest that they'd do anything to hurt the little ones, but so much about Taipa had been warped and twisted by her brother's abuse and manipulation that the fae was finding it difficult to go back to being... her mother's daughter, her siblings' sister, the soft, sweet-natured wolf she'd been.

But she was trying. Today, she used her lone good ear to make her way toward Ma, a few of her pups trailing behind her as she took them for a play date with their grandmother. The rest were staying with Kiana. Da still hadn't returned from whatever journey he'd set out on, but she had made the determination that she could at least be certain that the pups were comfortable with Moon Phase. And so, with Zenith, Mutiny, and Radiance in tow, Taipa let out a bark, calling for Ma.

Disoto~Katani

Disoto wandered around with his younger sister in tow. His ears twitched as her heard a call from a fem. He trotted towards the pack lands and seen her with pups. She looked as if she was alone, no one around. He hadnt heard a call back to the one she had let out. The massive male was about to move towards her but stopped, an evil grin came to his face. "Katani go make friends!" He snarled at her quietly. He sat back and waitied, hidden by numerious trees.

Katani's ears pressed back against her head and her tail lowered between her legs when he snarled at her. She was about to protest but thought against it. Disoto had already torn her skin once a few days ago for disobeying him. The blood had soaked her pelt and the marks were visible on her left shoulder. She began to move forward, s limp in her step. Katani let out a small bark to Taipa, her tail down and head lowered showing she meant no harm to the other. Her orbs went from the pups to Taipa and back a few times before finally setting on Taipa.

Taipa*Pups

The new mother was at a significant disadvantage here, with her pigmentless, useless nose and single ear making it very difficult to tell whether there was anyone in the area or not. But when Katani stepped forward, one aspect of the otherwise almost crippled-looking fae became quite clear. With a speed and accuracy that most could not muster, Taipa was standing over her three pups, crouched low and head down to cover them, fangs half-bared in a warning, though she did not loose a snarl yet. She let out a sharp bark, calling for one of her siblings, or either of her parents, before she spoke. The voice that flowed out of the tense wolfess, however, was strangely calm. "Who are you, and what are you doing on my parents' land?"

Disoto~Katani

Katani lowered her body to the ground, showing she meant no harm to any of them."I'm.. Katani, just wandering looking for something good." She lied through her teeth, feeling a little bad. The fae took a few steps forward, and flicked her tail a few times back and forth.

Disoto smirked as he seen her tail flick. The male began to move around the trees, making his way through a shallow marsh to get behind Taipa. Still he kept his presence unknown and hidden in the shadows.

Taipa*Pups

Taipa was not fooled by Katani's act, mostly because her brother had used this tactic on her so many times before. She didn't let up a mite on her defense, and soon enough, two barks responded to her original call.

Roane and Ramses, her two younger, yet larger brothers, were coming, the sheer alarm in their elder sister's call spurring them. They'd seen the results of Bane's abuse of her, and also the pain in their mother's eyes when she saw what he'd done. So, since Taipa didn't have a mate to protect her, they'd made themselves her honorary guards. The sounds of crashing paws moving so quickly through the trees made it clear that they were coming, and in a hurry, to help their sister, who stood wordless before Katani.

Katani*Disoto

Disoto purked up when he heard the barks and followed by the others comeing to help her. In a burst of speed he lept out of the trees and rushed at Taipa, instead of going from right behind as he came upon her rear he moved to the right slightly and came at her. His fangs bared, he charged at her to knocked her off her feet and possibly get ahold of her neck.

Katani's eyes never moved from Taipa's body, she made no motion that Diego was coming at her. If Diego was succesful in knocking Taipa off her feet, she jumped forward and grabbed one of the puppies and took off in a zig zag speratic way. If he didn't, Katani stood up watching what happened and keeping an eye out for the others.

Taipa*Pups

Unfortunately for her, Taipa had never weighed much, and despite her recent pregnancy, her starvation at her brother's hands had left her at a measly 70 lbs. So Disoto bowled her over with ease, leaving little Radiance undefended for the spare second it took Katani to scoop her up. The pup instantly let out a yelp, but in that moment, help arrived.

Ramses, the more hot-tempered and larger of the two, immediately leapt to tackle Disoto away from Taipa, impeding the male's grip for his sister's neck by placing his muzzle in the way of the grasping fangs, taking their ravaging punishment across his nose.

Roane, the cooler-headed brother, was putting his slightly smaller body to work as he took off after Katani, quickly gaining on her and leaping forward to try and tackle her down to get his neice back.

Disoto*Katani

Disoto snarled as Ramses fangs met his, his bit down on the others nose, hoping for some damage, then quickly let go and chased after Katani. "Run you twit!" He barked at her.

Katani had her small size as a plus for running, but she also had a sore shoulder which slowed her down a bit. When Roane jumped for her, his claws caught her hind leaving trails down to her tail, she stumbled a step then kept on running, scared out of her mind.

Disoto pushed himself as hard as he could, he was running to charge into Roane to take him down and keep running after Katani.

Moon Phase & Kin

Moon Phase rapidly approached, paws hitting the ground at a pace known only to a worried mother. Taipa was full gornw, but she was all that remained of Phases's first litter, and she would take no chances on losing her... or her grandchildren. When her eyes fell on Disoto she let out a blood curdling snarl, increasing her pace as much as she could to reach her target faster. With the determination that once places her in the ranks with Taijya she attacked the brute, jaws snapping for his belly, knowing full well the damage she wanted to inflict. Even as she aged, the fae was a tough customer in the heat of battle. In her haste to reach Disoto, she passed the bloody fae, Katani, too focused on her daughter. However she hadn't come alone. A whole army followed, all ready to defend the family they had grown to love.

Jade followed her mother, her large form easily mistakeable to that of a small male. Unlike her mother, she didn't miss Katani. Without hesitating she aimed to run head first into the fae, knowing full well that she would vere on in one direction or the other. Jade wouldn't risk attacking her cousin, so this tactic worked best. It even allowed Roan the chance to attack her from behind if Mother succeeded.

The next group appeared, Tiamet and Kismet. The twins knew what to do now that Jade had gone in for her position. Tiamet bowed out to the right, coming in on the right side of Katani. Kismet on the other hand went to the left. The fae was trapped now, and no matter her move, someone would be on her. If Katani went right, Tiamet had her sights on the delicate abdomon, learning from her mother the pain and damage attacking that area could cause. Kismet would then snap at the hip, hoping to get a grip that could not be shaken. If she witch instead chose the left, then Kismet would aim to have her shoulder in his crushing jaws, stopping her dead in her tracks. Tiamet would then try for the hip.

The final to appear was kalei, the blind albino fae. Pink orbs did nothing to help her fight, but she had a strong heart, and a keen mind. She'd already fought Bane, although her size at the time had ended in her faliure. However she was not full gorwn and though naturally small like her sister, her other more accute senses more than made up for her lack of sight. She charged silently, nose leading her to the male her mother was after. She could hear his steps on the ground, differentiating between them by their closeness and the pressure behind the steps. Quickly she aimed an attack for the the fromt left paw, the one on the side she was attacking from. Although the jugular would seem a better point to attack, she could not identify wheer exactly it was. Where as the feet, she could tell when the feet would touch the earth, and that directed her right towards the limb. She aimed to rip it from under the brute as it was coming back to meet the ground, the perfect time as it was difficult to stop the action once it had started, and it also produced a high chance of the male losing his balance.

Disoto*Diego

Disoto snarled as he seenMoon charging at him, if he hadnt charged at Roane maybe he would have made it out. When she went to attack him, her top fang slid into his skin like a knife, he kept running so they dug from his lower belly down his side. Blood began to make its way down his side, a shear pain cut into him. As much as it hurt, he just snarled and kept running, he had to get out no matter what. The flooding was getting worse as he tried to run, the soggy ground and mud would slow all of them down. Suddenly he heard a loud noise and seen water rising above the ground and rushing towards them quickly.

There was already blood on his maw from attacking another fae in the alleys. He raced on to help his brother. His jaws open he ran towards Kalei, his muscles rippling underneith his pelt. There was something different about how she was moving but he couldnt pin exaclty what it was. Diego came at her from the side aiming to knock her down with ease, he headed just ifnront of her to time with her running at Disoto. The water was already up to his knees making it hard for them all to run faster, Diego was a strong swimmer but the extremely strong currents and winds would make even him struggle to get to somewhere safe.

Taipa*Ohters

Ramses was unphased by the damage to his nose, spitting out a mouthful of blood that ran down his nose to collect in his throat and darting forward after Disoto, to take the place of Roane who, now that Katani was easily outmatched, was returning to stand beside and defend Taipa, the trembling Zenith, and the snarling Mutiny. It was Taipa, standing over them, who hopelessly called her daughter's name as her siblings and mother raced to rescue her.

Ramses it was who took the attack offered by Roane's laying off, aiming from behind to shove her into the jaws f whomever grasped her first.

Moon Phase & Kin

Moon Phase snarled, the taste of enemy blood filling her mouth. The sudden downpour did nothing to wane her efforts, and only fueled them further. As the male tried to run, the Fae followed, leaping to grab hold of his back with her fangs. This technique had been used to kill the dogs of the farm way back when, and if used correctly, could be used to immobilize this foul beast. Her main goal was to pinch the nerve which traveled the length of the spin, paralyzing the male from the waist down. Although it would be tricky, the rising water would prevent anyone from leaving this place, meaning he would be overwhelmed in time.

Kalei's heightened senses caught the presence of the new male far sooner than other wolves would have. Even in her focused desire to harm the brute her senses had pin pointed, she was always aware. However, she had hoped that she's make it to her target before she could be hit. Sadly this wasn't the case. As Diego hit her she tumbled off to the side, creating a splash in the rising waters. The albino fae let out her first snarl of the battle, then lifted herself from the muck. Although her eyes never focused directly on Diego, her body pointed in his direction as the hair bristled along her body. "Foul beasts. Leave my home." None of her words came out as more than an answer whisper, but their intentions were clear. Even with the waters raging, she wasn't willing to just stand there. Blind or not, she was destined to be a skilled fighter, just like her mother. Without another sound she darted, her steps closer to jumps in order to be as fast as she could be in the water. Her ears constantly swivled, trying to hone in on the males movements and to ignore the roar of the water. When she felt close enough from what her senses told her, she lashed out, jaws snapping for the shoulder. She knew she had been coming slightly to the left of the male, but how close she really was couldn't yet be determined. Though her senses were good, their use in battle had yet to be perfected so her accuracy wasn't up to par with that of a sighted wolf.

With Jade, Tiamet, and Kismet's target now gone, they focused their attention on the two males who remained. Jade knew her target the moment she'd seen him speed past. Hesitation wasn't in her mind as she raced towards Diego. Since birth she'd done her best to protect her blind sister, and though as they aged this habit had started diminishing, this time she knew her sister would not object. The fae pushed through the water, releasing a snarl of anger, and also as an alert to Kalei that she was coming, if she's hadn't already caught her scent nearing. Jade aimed her jaws for the hind leg of the brute, coming from the opposite side of Kalei's attack. If she jaws stuck, she would do her best to tear away flesh and hopefully muscle, causing the biggest disadvantage possible.

Kismet followd after his big sister, smaller form stuggling more in the waters. As he reached the brute his jaws snapped at his face and neck, his eyes blazing with an anger known only when protecting his loved ones.

Tiamet went for Disoto, watching her mothers actions before chosing her move. She made a daring attempt to go right for the males life vein. The moment she felt close enough, her hinds seemed to add a final push of energy to them, her jump taking her jaws right towards her target, his neck. When and if they hit, her jaws snapped shut, dial shaking violently for all it was worth.

Diego*Disoto

Disoto felt a pain when Tiamet grabbed for him, his fur was still thick from winter so she mostly got fur, but still some skin. He reached around to snap at her, still trying to reach the boarders. Moon's fangs dugs along his neck, almost gettin his nerve.

Diego tried to leap in the air when Kalei lundged at him, aiming to push her head down into the water causing her to take on water. Jade's fangs caught hold of his hind limb, tearing deep into his skin. He was determened to get out with his brother. Their plan wasnt to kill the pup, just use it for their benefit. "Believe me I will!" He snarled back at Kalei. What a dumb move Disoto He thought to himself, why would he take on a pack by himself? Maybe.. Maybe Ice would be able to help them, the Wolf-Cougar was extremely strong and would be able to kill a few of these wolves. But Ice hadn't been seen since their return.

Taipa*Others

Ramses turned his attention to Diego as well, moving to throw his weight into the male to keep him from attempting to drown the blind sister, his larger form making it a little easier for him to fight the pull of the flood as he moved.

Roane had his paws just as full as he fought with a distraught Taipa, who wanted to dash through the waters that were quickly deepening in order to chase after Katani and Radiance. But he took her scruff firmly in his jaws, speaking around a mouthful of fur. "Taipa, listen to me!" The sheer intensity of his voice made her let up a little on her struggles, enough to listen. "We've got to get Zenith and Mutiny to higher ground, before the water rises any more."

And the whines of the two pups reinforced this concept into her mind, as they skittered back against their mother's legs in a vain attempt to avoid the water that was already lapping around their ankles. That made up her mind, and she scooped up Zenith, handing him over to Roane before taking up Mutiny and plopping him on his uncle's back, calling to her family. "Please! The waters are rising... we must head for higher ground. I won't have all of you drown for me!"

Moon Phase & Kin

Moon held her grip, jaws tightening on their hold as she retched herself to a hault, impeeding the forward motion Disoto was taking. Through clentched jaws she spoke, a long rumble hanging in her throat long after. "Wretched beast! I'll have you killed for this!" Her daughter had been through enough and to now have one of her pups stolen... why was fate so keen on attacking this family?

Tiamet leapt for the fangs, dancing about in a way. Her smaller body made this action possible, and even with the water she was in no water about stop. She heard her sisters cry, but she forced herself to block it out. She would not drown. With a snarl the fae lept once again for the brute, this time dancing around him. She snapped at his hinds, releasing any bites that made contact in order to leap back and try again. Her focused mostly on the lower limbs, hoping one of these bites would crack the bone as a clean break did not sound possible with her stratagy.

Jade held the limb, snarling as she shook her dial violently. She backed up slowly, still shaking her dial. She could break the bone, the possibilty was within her grasp. "What reason have you for coming here?!" Her tones followed the same line as her mothers, muffled and angry.

Kalei had heard the jump, the water being a clear give away for such a move. The one thing which could kill her now had given her the notice she needed to swing to the side, avoiding the brutes attempt to drown her. She heard her sisters cry, and with displeasure she answered. "Taipa, worry about yourself. You have the babes to attend to. We will not sit and have this evil deed go by unpunished" And with that the fae lundged for the brute, following her Jade's growl to the limb which she held. Savagly she attacked the knee area, using her sisters snarls to avoid getting too close to her jaws.

During this whole conversation, Kismet once more went for Diego, hoping to distract the brute from his two sieters attempt sat breaking the back limb. He snapped at will, jaws focusing on the brutes face, fangs attempting to graze the flesh. Then after a moment of this he went for his true attack. Jaws openwide, he charged in to grab Diego's snout in his. If he had hold he slammed his jaws shut with the 1500lbs of pressure possible for a wolf to use in their jaws. This, he hoped, would possibly break the jaw.
