Aminita
With a new litter of pups to look after, Aminita needed to find out if this pack was still here; and if they were, she needed to gain acceptance or move her brood elsewhere. Timid and fearful of what their response to a stranger might be, the shepherd-looking hybrid howled out for the leads of the terra. Then she waited, half cringing to the ground.
Liseli
A fairly new mother herself, white Liseli came trotting to the call, smiling softly, though both tail and crown were held high. She did not rule these lands, but those who did had not been seen in some time, and so she was taking charge until such time as they would reappear.
Her voice was soft and a little sad as she called to Aminita. Yes, wanderer? What have you need of?
Aminita
Head lowered even more in respect and submittance to this wolf, Aminita spoke quickly and pleadingly, "I'm sorry to have intruded on your lands, but I need shelter for my new-born pups. I... they are in a nearby den site right now." She said, with a touch of fear. She hated to leave them on their own, if only for a short while, but she needed to get permission to be here. That, and find food for herself so that the pups in turn would get food from her. Tail tucked, Aminita waited for the response, hoping that she and her young would be spared, for she knew many wolves in the Valley weren't so kind to a tresspassing canine in their lands.
Liseli
Seeing Aminita's apparent fear, she lightened up, tail swishing just a bit at the mention of pups. Of course you may come stay. I'm not sure where my alphen are at the moment, but until they come you are welcome to stay here with me and mine. When they come back you can ask them about a more permanent arrangement. I've pups of my own, so maybe they'll be good playmates for mine.
She let a soft smile fall on her face. She had been too secluded since Sauda's death, keeping to herself. Perhaps now was the time to be a little more friendly.
Aminita
Her tail waved a bit in response, and she felt her fear eb away somewhat. And at her suggestion of letting the pups play, Aminita felt even more welcome. For so long she was a lowly babysitter, supressed by her over-bearing alphas; although, Aaka had a much kinder side than Legosa.
"Thank you, you don't know how much this means to me." The hybrid exclaimed in a releaved tone, visibly relaxing. Wanting always to keep on the good side of others, and just generally being curious, she spoke up again, "If I may ask, how many pups do you have?"
Aminita
Unable to leave her young for long, Aminita's maternal drive bade her to return to her young. "When the alphas arrive, please tell me." She asked, holding her head a bit lower now, feeling the need to appease Liseli. "I must get back to my pups now." With a friendly, but partially anxious smile, the hybrid excused herself and headed for the Den.
