Hidden
The small black female wandered around the territory. Her coat was ragged and her frame was gaunt from being malnourished. She had not the will to eat and remain thriving. She had lost her brother and now nothing and no one cared for her. Aaka had thrown her to the wolves. Er...Bad use of that term. She was left with no one here.
Liseli
The sleek white fae was lost in thought when the ebony female wandered in. So much betrayal, so little love. The sound of pads in the grass caused her to lift her head from the loam, gazing slightly up at Hidden. She too had lost weight, though she was careful not to let her pups notice. Her betrayal at the paws of her own mate, whom she had believed loved her.... Malai's abandonment of them all... it was a fresh, open wound. But she looked up at the little dark vixen and felt a tug at her heart. How she reminded Liseli of Sauda.
The white princess sighed softly. Sauda would have known what to do to help this troubled youngling. Without her, Liseli was lost. Still, she looked up at Hidden, fighting to hide her pain and project a loving, motherly face, though not quite... not quite succeeding. Here now Hidden, what ails thee, young miss? You're much too young for life to be that bleak. Come sit here and tell me what troubles you.

She turned her eyes to Liseli and tears formed at the others kindness. "He was the only one who loved me...." She whispered softly. A sob broke the small females body and she seemed to fall inside of herself. She had listened for her lost brother at night and no wind whispered to her. No voices broke through her sleep to awaken her. She looked to the stars in search of the new one where he should be but all she saw were the same stars and moon every night that passed. "No one loves weaklings." She whispered softly. Her spirit and will appeared broken as tears slid down her black cheeks. "Why is it that the good die young?" She whispered softly. Yukon had not even been a year yet but the male had been large for his age and he had tried to fight the experienced pit bull Skeil. It was not fair. But then again, since when was life fair?

The little white vixen stood to offer a small, comforting nuzzle, a soft whine, a warm heart, a listening ear. There, there, little one. And her voice became unsteady herself, for her twin's death was all too recent. I know what it is to lose someone. My sister died not two moon past... died to save me... when I would not save her. Tell me, little sister... who have you lost?

She looked up with hurt eyes. "Yukon...My brother." The large gray male had died here saving Lady and her pups. She moved closer to Liseli and curled up beneath her. Sadness consumed the small female and she didnt know how much more she could take.
Liseli
The white mother lay down, curling about the pup, sighing softly. Ah, then we are in the same tree, in the same darkness, trapped and alone with no sun coming.
And she was quiet for a moment, wondering how much she dared share. Finally her lips parted again, and she spoke. My twin sister died at my own jaws, by a foul trick played by a demon. There is not a day that I do not miss her, or feel that I betrayed her. I don't know what you know about twins, little sister, but she was always on the inside of me, always there, always a pulsing fire that loved me fiercely. When she died... the flame went out. Words were never needed between us because we spoke on the inside, and suddenly that voice was gone forever. And I cannot get her back. And she sighed, for it was lonely in her soul without that other half there to warm her heart. A small tear leaked through her mask as her voice became so soft, a low whisper that the pup would have to strain to hear. They are always sorry for the wolf whose life was cut short. They send their sympathies, their sorrow. They never think of the heart left behind, so much smoldering ash and torn muscle. They never tell you that part of your soul dies with them.

The last part of Liseli's words were carried by the wind to the ears of another. The wolf hung his head and sighed, knowing of what she was speaking of. Sauda. Poor Liseli. The hunter appeared nearby the duo and let out a soft, warm whimper towards his packmate and the pup. Slowly did the Alpha move towards them and as he came within hearing range of the pair did his deep warm voice spill out.
Greetings Liseli, I have not seen you for a while and Hello Hidden...
Saudas death had not only struck Liseli deeply, the whole pack was mourning the loss of such a valued member.
I can only imagine the pain you both are going through, I myself have never experiance it, However most of the hurt is probably from the shock of their disparture from this life. no-one can predict the passing of another, and as much as we wish not to think of it, it is only a matter of time before we all experiance some form of death.
The wolf settled himself nearby the pair after he nuzzled Liseli and Hidden.
You will both be ok, I am here for you, as is this whole pack. We will get through it, and we shall get through it together. Neither of you will ever be alone.
The wolf smiled but his eyes did not show the warmth of happiness as the subject had bought thoughts he did not wish to have to mind. The ethereal beast looked to Hidden.
I have not properly welcomed you to this pack hidden, so I shall do it now. We are your family as long as you reside here and even if you wish us not to be, we shall always be here for you.
