*Fox*
A gray fox lay beside the base of a young birch tree, curled up with her brushy tail thrown over her narrow face. She was still badly wounded, but fear had caused her to run from the one who saved her. She felt rather guilty about it, and now wondered where Lady had gone too. But, as it was, the vixen was too wounded to look around for her, and knew better than to call out and attract unwanted attention.
Lady
Lady was wandering around the fox she saved ran away. "Fox." she called out trying to find out were she went.
*Fox*
The vixen lifted her head, listening to the voice that she soon found familiar. For a moment she lay soundlessly before giving voice to a short, sharp bark, "I am here!" The vixen pulled her wounded body up to a semi-sitting position against the tree so that Lady could see her better.
Sauda*Liseli
The sisters heard the call of a fox and came trotting quietly in. Seeing that Lady was looking for the fox, they slowed, allowing Lady to reach the wounded animal first so as not to startle the little thing.
Lady
Yiped happaly hearing the foxes call. she ran over to her "Were did you think you were going?" she asked the fox
*Vixen*
She looked up to her savior and a flicker of a smile crossed her narrow mug, "Anywhere but around those beasts." She replied, speaking of the other canines that sounded more as though they wanted to kill her back at the human town. The little gray fox pulled herself up into a sitting position, though a sudden wince showed that this effort pained her.
Liseli*Sauda
Liseli eyed an herb along the path, and snapped it up, chewing it carefully into a poultice. She had learned much about herbs from the men that had separated her and Sauda, and knew a bit about healing.
Then, sending a look to Sauda to follow, she trotted carefully toward the little fox. Sitting slowly, she gave her sister a pleading look, for it was impossible to speak without ruining the poultice.
Gentle black Sauda came forward, stopping still a good distance from the vixen, speaking quietly. My sister knows a little of herb lore. If you will let her, the mixture she is making should dull the pain of that and help it heal.
Lady
Lady watched the fox. then saw2 the others come in "Its ok theyr friendly." she said to the fox
*Vixen*
She turned from the two sisters to Lady. She was in no position to object, and in any case, she realized they would have killed her by now if that's what they wanted. Dipping her head the meek vixen spoke up, "Thank you for your kindness." Her sharp, silvery eyes looked over the fae that held the healing herb in her jaws. "I trust you."
Liseli*Sauda
Sauda smiled at the little vixen. The poor little thing was so trusting. That was probably what had gotten her into this mess. Giving her sister a look that clearly said Do what you must, no more, she spoke quietly. Such a sweet one. I am Sauda, this is Liseli. Good morrow, friend.
Liseli glared at Sauda behind the vixen's back, resenting the reprimand. Their issues were still not resolved, but they had found a way to make it work. Forcing her face to soften, she turned to the vixen and spit out the poultice, spreading it evenly along the cut with her rough tongue. There. The pain should dull momentarily, disappear in a few hours, and the wound will heal cleanly in a few days. And her eyes tossed an ugly look to her sister. There, happy? Oh yes, they still had things to work out.
Lady
Lady caught the glaring of liseli giving a small growl to stop making faces well there was company.
*Sweetbrier*
She offered a polite smile, trying to mask her trepidation. It was terribly intimidating to be surrounded by three wolves, but she was leaning quickly on trusting them. "I'm Sweetbrier." Her dainty muzzle was dipped in a greeting as her silvery eyes shown towards Sauda, thankful for her words. Then she perked her ears to Liseli. Holding back a wince as the poultice was applied, Sweetbrier sniffed at the pasty herb before looking to the sister, "Thank you very much, Liseli. I don't know how to replay your kindness..." Now the vixen flashed a look to all three wolves, so grateful for their help, but unknowing how she, a little vixen, could be helpful to three healthy she-wolves.
Liseli*Sauda
Liseli had caught the alpha fem's look, and had the grace to look ashamed. She wasn't really a cruel fae, just had longtime issues with her sister. Harks perking at the words of the little vixen, she tossed her head, indicating no favor was necessary. Old trick of the trade, young Sweetbrier. Glad to share it. Teach it to your kits someday. And she smiled a little, for this was exactly what had been told to her when she learned herblore.
Sauda also caught the alphess' silent rebuke, and shook her head a little sadly, her eyes apologizing over Sweetbrier's head. I'm sorry... they said. Believe me, it's mostly because of me. Tossing her dial in a movement identical to Liseli's, she shook off the memories and smiled at the little vixen. You'll do well now. Liseli is the finest herbalist I know. She hoped the compliment would please her sister, but the white fae didn't seem to hear. Sauda let out a sigh: she really WAS trying to make this work.
Lady
Ldady smiled "Ok now that you will be getting you better lets get you seddled in the den and i will see about dinner." lady said picking sweetbrier by the scruf carrying her off to the den "Come on guys."
Liseli*Sauda
The sisters nodded, Liseli looking slightly ashamed of herself. And, turning away, they trotted behind Lady to the den.
