Stormrunners & Others
It had been several days since the human incident. For each day that passed without retaliation, Stormrunner felt a little better, and a little more confident in his choice. No hunters had shown up en mass to attack the pack, there were no paw traps, and no new collars unwantingly bestowed upon his family. So far, the kind gesture shown to Chasidy had not come back to bite him.
It was early in the morning, the sun a few hours from rising, when Stormrunner pointed his gray muzzle to the heavens and called his pack together for a hunt. After the tensions surrounding he and his father, Storm wanted to restore unity in their group and fill everyone's bellies as the weather began to turn bitter. He was happy to hear Starscream's shrill voice rise in answer to his summons, followed swiftly by the melodic tones of Darling.
Storm raised his voice to a louder pitch, letting it echo over the fog-shrouded hills. In it, the message was clear; the hunt was to take place in the Prairie.
