Arora & Starscream
A soft howl rang through the hilly land, echoing through the trees and across the dew-speckled meadows. The tone was too richly melodic to be the sharp cry of the alpha male, and too pure and youthful to have come from the aging Darling. This song was Arora's, and it was her farewell to her blood pack. The ashen female stood at the edge of a small hill, her form half shrouded in a bank of fog that had yet to be chased away by the rising sun. She would linger just long enough to say her goodbyes before starting on the next chapter of her life.
The fur of his belly and long legs were soaked with dew, the hair clumped together by the moisture as Starscream traveled through the terra to reach his daughter. Even his normally proud trail looked a little bedraggled by the time he crested the knoll and started down the other side where Arora was waiting. "What's this about you leaving?" He questioned upon approach, banner held loosely in the air while his muzzle ruffled the fur along her nape.
"The youngest are nearly full grown, and the pack's getting crowded, dad." She answered back, offering him a nuzzle and waving plumage. "I'll come back often to visit, if that's what you're worried about."
Crow & Hawk
A point of black drifted through the fog, the nose of Crow bouncing lightly in tune to his steps as he traveled steadily closer. It was about the only part of him barely visible through the dense moisture this early morning, with the rest of his silver coat blending in perfectly with the low hanging mist. The next part to break cover were his brilliant green eyes, hanging like two emeralds against the backdrop of pale gray. The dark of his ears came next, before the full outline of his face, and finally the rest of his muscled frame as he broached the bottom of the hill.
"'Lo, and good morning, Rora." Crow greeted, his swing tail cutting visible distortions through the heavy condensation that hung in the air. He hung back for the moment, letting the father have a moment with his daughter. Ears were perked and curious though.
Hawk arrived shortly after his father, and like him, had been concealed by the fog until he was nearly upon the scene, thanks to grays that dominated much of his coat. The young brute didn't hesitate to climb the knoll and give Arora a nuzzle to the shoulder, stepping in on the opposite side of his alpha. "Are you really leaving, Arora? Where are you going?"
Tayzeka
Tayzeka had slept well from their previous hunt. She had also for the most part healed her broken heart from the missing pups. She heard the call and got up and came forth. please becareful, the world isn't too friendly for a lone wolf these daysShe said softly.
Hulia came forward to join them and so did the brothers and pups.
Starscream, Darling, Arora, & Stormrunner
Hawk was given a brief nudge to the top of his head, then a lick on the muzzle, "I'm going out on my own now." She turned her dial, paws shifting to face her in the direction of the approaching pack. One by one, their faces emerged through the fog, from Tayzeka to Kurok, to Darling, and then Stormrunner. She wagged her tail anew and patiently dealt with the enthusiastic nuzzling from Storm, which ended abruptly when he decided to snag her tail between his teeth, and got a nip on the hindquarter for it. Stormrunner tucked tail and scampered back around to Tayzeka, leaving his elder sister to address the gathered wolves.
"I-" Arora floundered for a second or two, surprised that the entire pack had shown up. "-I'm leaving to find my own place in the Valley. I'll be back to visit, and if you ever need any help, just call for me." A pang of sudden sadness hit her, a sort of homesickness that she hadn't anticipated. But the urge to explore and walk her own path was stronger, and she was determined that today would be the day.
"Good luck out there." Darling came forward to scrub her muzzle against her younger sister's. "And you don't hesitate to howl if you need help."
Starscream shifted his lean legs and resolutely hid any sort of emotion that might betray his own sadness in this moment. "Travel safe."
