Starscream & Others

Starscream had been searching for hours now, howling and backtracking, searching ravines and hill tops, all in a desperate bid to find his children and the other missing adolescents. A fierce storm had blown in, making it all the more difficult to pick up their scent, and bringing an acute sense of urgency to their search. With the high winds and freezing drizzle, the pups would perish out on their own without proper protection. "Scorponok! Piper!" His last howl carried a note of desperation in it, as the brutal winds and wet fur were making him cold; he couldn't imagine what the pups must be going through. Had they fallen into a river? Did a human catch them? A bear, maybe?

Darling sprinted towards her father, coming back from a second search through their rendezvous site. "Nothing yet." Her ears were back, and worry had creased her features. Like Starscream, she'd been searching high and low for the missing youngsters, and felt especially guilty for their predicament. She was the pupsitter of the pack, and felt it had been her responsibility to keep them safe while the alphas had been away taking care of alliances.

Crow was soon loping back to Starscream as well, his silver pelt soaked and weighed down by sleet, but he scarcely acknowledge the discomfort. He'd joined Hulia in trying to find his own missing children, but had no better luck than the others. His howls had echoed through the Aspen Grove, but the growing storm had muffled them and kept them from spreading far. It had also prevented him from hearing the cries of the lost children in the prairie. "Has anyone heard from Megatron or Arora? It's not like them to up and leave like that, but they might have taken the young ones on a hunt? At this point, between all of us searching, we should have found them if they were still in the territory."

Starwhisper was the only one not to join the search party. She had stayed back at the den site, where she was keeping an eye on the remaining pups and adolescents. So far, Stormrunner hadn't spoken up about where the others were, afraid that he'd get in trouble. Hawk had also kept silent, but now was beginning to regret that.

tayzeka

Tay was scared for her pups. What had happened to them. Had she failed as a mother as the alphess? She howls continusly trying to get them to respond.

Hulia was searching desperately.

Eagle too had remained silent. He knew they had gone out on their own that Arora and megatron weren't with them.

Starscream & Others

Starscream paced anxiously towards his daughter and nephew, shaking his head at Crow's question. "No word from either of them." He'd tried calling for Arora and Megs, but neither had replied, and he had no idea they had gone explicitly against his rules and actively sought out the two-leggers. He wasn't as worried about them though, being able-bodied adults who could hunker down somewhere if the storm got too bad.

"Maybe.." Darling piped up, almost hesitantly as she sought to inject some hope into the anxious pack, "...they did take the pups somewhere, and got caught out in the storm. They may be bunking down somewhere until it clears?"

"Even so, they should have been able to hear our calls and respond to them." Starscream wanted to believe her theory, but he had a hard time picturing his elder children being so patient and willing to take a group of rambunctious youngsters exploring. "Unless they traveled outside of our borders, which I doubt they would have."

While the adults were discussing these matters, it was Hawk who finally broke and nudged Eagle. "Should we tell?" His whisper suggested he didn't want to tell, or at least was afraid of Starwhisper hearing him, but the knowledge was beginning to eat at his conscience.

Eagle

He looked at Hawk.we have toHe said finally getting up and with his tail tightly under himself and his body low he slunk over to them.Shrike took Piper, Scorponock and trogon to go looking for humans since Meg and Arora wouldn't take them with themHe said keeping his body low and to the ground.

Starscream & Starwhisper

Starwhisper had given a sharp bark to Eagle, warning the adolescent to stay back with her near the den, but the perceptive pup-sitter could see there was more than just worry that had made him tuck his tail so tightly. "Alright, the rest of you follow - stay close!" The trees and the branches, barren as most of them were, did help to mitigate some of the fierce winds and driving sleet, and Whisper used herself as a shield to further protect the youngsters as she led the group after Eagle, towards where the adults had gathered.

Starscream immediately gave a frown when he saw his own children trudging towards them, but before he could snap at his elder daughter for allow them to leave the densite, Eagle stole his attention. The anger intensified, and Crow took a hesitant step towards his child just in case Star's anger got out of hand. "They what? Why didn't you tell us this sooner, Eagle!?" The snarl that he bore was mostly out of fear for the missing, but poor Eagle would get the brunt of it.

Trying to calm the situation, Darling crouched down in front of Eagle as Crow and Starwhisper exchanged horrified glances. "Eagle, can you tell us where they went, or what direction?" Her face was far more friendly than her father's now, though her ears were back, and her own tail neatly tucked.

Eagle

Eagle crouched down at Stars anger his ears back and a small whimper escaped his muzzle.I didn't think they'd actually leave the territoryhe whimpered. When Darling spoke he pointed towards the prarie direction.

Tayzeka listened.

Hulia frowned.

Starscream & Others

Crow took a single step closer to his son, offering him wordless support and unspoken protection to offset the anger their alpha was leveling on him. Starscream continued to glower at the youngster, "If you'd told us sooner, we could have found them by now." With that last accusation, he nodded roughly to Darling, "Stay back with the pups, and keep them in the den. The rest of us will begin our search east of the territory." With hardly a glance back at the others, Starscream pushed forward into a stead lope, moving in the direction of the Tall Grass Prairie.

Crow lowered his head and gave Eagle a soft lick on the top of his head. "It's alright, you're not in trouble. Go with Darling now, and listen to what she says. Mother and I will be back later." Using his silvered muzzle, Crow nudged his son towards his cousin, then broke into a light sprint to follow after Starscream.

Starwhisper was more than ready to hand over the reigns of pupsitting to her elder sister. "Give a howl if there's any trouble." She too joined the rest of the pack then, leaving Darling behind with a squad of young wolves.

Eagle

He coward down ears flat against his skull and whining now. He took off for the den as soon as the adults took off.

Tayzeka went with scream while Hulia went with crow.
