Starscream & Others

Star had turned his tongue against his fur while waiting for the others to finish. From a halfhearted attempt at cleaning his muzzle, he devoted more energy to going back over the wounds on his shoulders, even though Kaina had already ensured that they were well and free of any debris. The big male paused mid-lick at the quieted whine he heard from Kaina, and darted the female a querying look that carried the silent message of 'Are you okay?' Seeing that neither Keap nor Torek were nearby to have caused her small cry, Star safely assumed it was something minor, and eventually shifted his attention on the small trio with him, "Lets get back with what we can carry. Depending on how much food the next group brings back, and if any of the pups and the wounded are still hungry, we'll be making a second trip here." So saying, the alpha picked up the leg he'd detached, took a moment to get it settled comfortably in his jaws, and began to lead the group back. Keap seized the forelimb he'd chosen and trailed slowly after his father.

As with the journey to the kill, the journey back was done in silence. Starscream hadn't spoke a word until they the old cedar tree that marked the den site came into view, with Liseli, Darling, and Cortinarri camped out beneath it's wide-spreading roots. Star used a glance from Kaina and the older females to signal the small fae to deliver her meat to them. He didn't need to give Torek any orders, nor did he give Keap any, knowing that they were delivering their food to the pups and mothers.

Torek

Torek listened and nodded picking up his large chunk of food and headed back to the den. HE looked to his brother and then dissapeared into the den. He brought his meal to Hulia & Trayveka. He nuzzled them and then headed out of the den.

korek yawned as he waited and then he nodded to the m all.

Kaina*Others

Her ears went back a little when his glance shifted to her, not because she was frightened or because he was demanding obedience from her, but because she was forced to meet his eyes for a moment or two in order to return a look of, I'm fine, and wanted to make clear that she wasn't challenging him with that eye contact. One thing that she had already noticed was that he was a stickler about making sure that wolves in this pack knew where their place was, and she wasn't going to overstep the boundary there... even if he'd indicated rather clearly that he was going to be more lenient with her. Indeed, she still kept her steps a couple behind his as they moved for the den again, though she did take his silent hint, and haul her choice of meat over to the area where Cortinarri and Liseli had made their place, and where the beta was still tending to the younger female. "I brought you back something," Kaina prompted quietly, lowering her ears to the ex-alphess as well as she lay the small slab in front of them, waiting for any words that might be spoken to her or any questions that might be asked before she'd turn around and make her way back to Starscream again.

Starscream & Others

Starscream entered the den along with Torek, leaving Keap to wait outside for the moment. The meaty haunch was dropped in front of Tayzeka, who Star addressed with a touch of awkwardness in his otherwise simple tones, "If you need more, let me know. There's plenty left back at the kill." The alpha meant to drop off the meat and exit the den, without lingering long to talk, but Starwhispered wriggled out from beneath Megatron's protective huddle and minced towards her father. The adolescent reached up to lick beneath his chin in greeting, which had the effect of drawing a smile from the male, and another semi-forced sentence, "You guys all doing... okay here?"

Outside the den, Cortinarri watched Kaina's approach with the air of the old queen she was. She was a little leery of how her son was acting with Kaina, but the small female had so far given Cortinarri no reason to dislike or even question her, so she was spared from the hard-eye stared that was reserved for those the ex-alphess truly disliked. "Thank you." Cortinarri dropped her gaze to look over the offered meat, and when it would seem Kaina was dismissed and would receive no further attention from the trio, the old huntress spoke again, "Her help today was appreciated. Here Liseli, eat your fill." Without yet looking back to Kaina, Cort nudged the hunk of meat in the beta's direction, holding her own hunger to ensure the wounded female first had her share.

Tayzeka

Tayzeka knew having the pups with starscream was just a spur of the moment thing for both and she wasn't even really a dominant wolf. Course if one ever challenged her she would no doubt stand up for the challenge and show that she could be dominant but she wasn't really one. Nor did she not care that starscream wasn't her mate. At least he was trying to be a part of his kids life and sure one day she'd have to explain to the pups why her and their father weren't together but she would deal with that in time. AT times it did make her a bit sad cause Starscream was a strong alpha and any female would be lucky to have him as a mate. She watched her brother deliver food to their sister and the pups and then star approached her dropping the meat. Thanks, this should be enough, at least for me. We shall see if it fill their stomachsShe smiled as she watched her daughter move toward her father before digging in.

Megatron eyed his father his little tail going over his back. Okay yes he knew he was wayyyyy toooo small to even think of challenging his father, but no he didn't want to challenge him he looked up to his father but he himself knew what his destiny was, whether it be this pack after his father passed or another pack he was gonna become an alpha. He snorted at his fathers awkward speach.Perhaps if you spent more time with us then you would actually know how we're doing and wouldn't talk like you have a speech impediment Okay for a boy who actually looked up to his father he could be so brash and he yelped when his mother gave him a nip. That is not how you speak to your father, and your alphaShe spoke.

Hulia nuzzled torek and then with her pups began digging in .

Korek would wait for Starscream to give him the go ahead to head to the kill. His eyes darted around every now and then.

Kaina*Others

"Of course, Cortinarri," the female replied very softly, still careful to keep her tones respectful - and yet, as she had done with Starscream on the first day she'd met him, she wasn't overly submissive or falsely ingratiating; whatever else she could be called, Kaina was careful... but genuine. Past that, the ex-alphess seemed content to return her attention to her granddaughter and friend, and that was as it should be; she was just about to turn away, believing she'd been dismissed, when Cortinarri spoke to her again, and she paused to answer, offering one corner of a modest smile, indicating she was pleased with the compliment - and yet was smart enough to know that joyfulness was not appropriate in this situation. "I did only what any other part of your pack would have done, in my position. There are so many who are more able fighters than I, and if looking after the wounded frees them up, then I have been of use." Her eyes glanced aside to Liseli then, accounting for the motion as the old beta lifted her head, and nudged her young companion. "Darling... there's food here, dear. Aren't you hungry?" Up to now, she'd kept herself busy nuzzling and comforting the younger female, and hadn't tried to get any reaction out of her, but she knew that Darling couldn't stay curled against her forever, so rather than immediately dig into the meat herself, she prompted something from the alpha's daughter.
