Remus alighted onto the bannisters of the cabin. He cocked his head to one side at the stillness of it all. He wasn't used to this. Yes, the wild was quite quiet, but not the still quiet like this was. It was eerie, deafening silence. And it was getting to the little sparrow. He leapt off the wood and did a summersault in the air, then landed back on the bannister. It was a little while later when he heard the rustlings in the tree behind him. He hopped round and stared at the boughs of the tree, twitching. Just then a bird flew out and away, and, as Remus watched it fly away, he felt a pang of boredom. He was always too scared to go anywhere near the city, whereas this bird was flying straight for it.
Another summersault and he was off, following the other bird through the air.
