Ebony /// Merlot
Merlot had been wondering around these lands for some time now. To tell you the truth, she did not quite know how she and her sister had ended up on this island, but they had and it seemed the only way back to the main lands without having to swim for it was the same slender creek they had to cross to get to this side in the first place. Though, right now the two mares were not really worried about getting back to the main part of the wilderness. The quiet surroundings of the island were a welcome difference from the hustle and bustle that they had to endure on the main lands. So, for now they would just hang out here for a while.
The chestnut mare carried herself to a piece of land that was thoroughly covered with thick grass and her head was lowered as she began to graze, appearing not to have a care in the world as her flaxen tail flicked at a few pesky flies.
The older of the two mares, though only by a year, was clearly not the leader of their little expedition. Though, this did not mean that she could not lead or that she was just a destined follower, but it was just that her sister was a born leader and that was just how things normally ended up working for them. Ebony did not mind, though....
It was not long before their journey was over and after her sister had stopped walking and began to graze, she too stopped, though her dial was not lowered to graze but instead she remained alert, watching and listening for any unexplained sound.
Helix/ Dark Knight
Helix walked alongside of his brother, his creamello coat standing out compared to his ebony brother. Blue orbs looking around, and being watchful. He is 16.3 hands high and weigh 1300 lbs. He was built as a fighter, much like his father, the late Comet. Him and his mother had died battling his uncle and aunt, also diseased. Funny thing was that him and his brother were acutally good friends with their cousin. Upon his brother's voice he stopped and sniffed the air. Upon the wind he could scent two mares nearby, and the decision to visit was made. Besides, it could be fun he thought to himself. Changing directions he approached where the smell was comming from. He made no attempt to hide his approach, it would be clear that it was a stallion if they smelt the air. Helix's voice was charming, but held a soft taunt to it. He was a stallion, almost at his prime, and quite the charmer. "Ladies, mind some company?"
Dark Knight was jet black with choclate brown lampages. He was built for speed, being half arabian and half thoroughbred, he was pretty fast. He weighed 1000 lbs and stood 17 hands high. What his brother hadn't realized was that they weren't as alone as they thought they were. No he had noticed that they're were mares nearaby from the hoofprints before them, and the fact that he could smell them. His lyrics filled the air in a subdued voice, not trying to make it carry. "They're are mares nearby, Helix." Simple and too the point. Dark Knight haf barely gotten the sentence out before his brother was already moving in their direction. Knight let him, following into routine. Helix first to the scene, usally causing trouble, and Knight, the oldest brother, usually fixing his younger brother's problem. Ture, he was only older by a few minutes, but sometimes he thought he had gotten the brains while his brother had the bronze. Although, Helix had proved him wrong sometimes. He spoke after his brother did, his voice gentle incase his obnixious brother had frightened them in some way. "I'm Dark Knight, and this is my brother Helix. Sorry to intrude, we were just hoping for some company from creatures like us. It's been awhile since we've been with only equine company." His brown orbs looked to the chestnut mare first, before going to the other, watching for their reaction. If they attacked, Helix and Dark Knight would simply leave, and he shot his brother and look letting him know that. Knight wasn't the kind of stallion that felt like he should prove himself by fighting mares. Perhaps some may say he was being sexist, but he didn't see it that way. He was just that way. Remaining where he was, he wondered if they would soon have mare company with them.
Ebony /// Merlot
The chestnut mare was grazing peacefully when her sister nickered to get her attention. The black mare had been keeping a look out in this strange place and she now noted that there was the scent of two stallions and it was coming closer to them. Merlot did not pay her sister much mind as the announcement had been made. Hopefully they would not be the fighting type who would want to cause problems, but if they were then Merlot figured that they would just have to fight back until they could escape. Yes, she still had that herbivore state of mind where she would run. It was just that she had a little fight in her too... She lifted her dial from the grass as the two stallions came into view through the clearing. The mare tossed her flaxen mane slightly as a fly landed on her neck and then focused back on the two stallions who were now not far from them. The lighter of the two was the first to reach them and to speak. It depends, are you offering? She assumed that he was, but she was just being her normal self, she had to keep them guessing.
Ebony was standing in the clearing with her sister, though her dial was not lowered to the lush green grass, instead she was keeping watch. You never knew what could happen around this place. It was a strange place indeed. In this place wolves and big cats ran with their species in harmony. Though, in other cases the predators were just the same, so you never knew whether the one approaching you was a friend or a foe. Everything that this mare had known about the food chain was pretty much out the window. Though, this thought was interrupted as she caught the scent of two approaching stallions. She nickered to her sister to warn her of their approach, though the chestnut mare did not seem to be too worried about it much. As the stallions came in to view and reached them, it was the lighter one who spoke first and Merlot replied. Then the darker steed reached them, introducing himself and the other and apologizing for intruding. Oh, it is not a problem, we enjoy company... I am Ebony and this is my sister Merlot. Tones were rather friendly as she replied.
Helix/ Dark Knight
Helix moved closer, he didn't stop at the edge like his brother. No, he was far more daring when it came to mares than his brother. A true charmer down to the bones and soul. His features was carved into a daring smirk, at the question from the chestnut. "Of course. Who else?" Games, always games. Two could do that, and Helix was quite the gamer, espeically when he usually won. For Helix had learned to read others. He could use emotions, information, and much more against if he ever needed to. That's why he tended to be watchful, especially of his enemies. He shook his hand, his mane falling slightly as if to shield his face, before he tossed his head to get the silken sheet that was blocking his eye sight out of the way. Now he grew a charming smile on his face, as he stopped a few hoofsteps from touching distance of the two beautiful creatures. Auds swirved forth at the introduction of the two mares. "Pretty names for such pretty mares." His gaze didn't drift away from Merlot, for he made the quick decision to try to get to know her better. With a flick of his tail, he spoke his vocals aimed to her alone. His aqua orbs watching her, trying to learn more. "As my brother stated earlier I'm Helix, we're the children of Comet and Ruffiene." He added the extra tidbit to see if possibly the two had heard of them. His parents had been some what well known through Sparkling Creek Valley when the war had begun. "What brings you two here..especially with predators around, one wouldn't want such lovely things like yourselves hurt." He questioned, never taking his eyes off Merlot. Quite daring indeed.
The shadowed figure only came a bit closer when the mare named Ebony introduced herself and her sister. A low bow was given to the two. He smiled, but unlike his brother's charming one, his was more on the friendly side. "Tis a pleasure to meet you Ebony. Simply to satisfy my slight worry upon whether or not you are okay for us to be around, I must ask if have a home, enemies, or allies around here already. T'would put my mind at ease to know whether or not I could call you a friend." If they were friends with Knight's enemies, they would have to leave. It would only start trouble, and so he held slight hope that they were new or allies to his own allies. They had already proved that they weren't anti social. Brown orbs were trying to get a glimpse of Ebony's eye color, but was being discreet about it. There was no need for her to think that he was challenging her, and he made sure to keep it that way. He waited for a answer, his face remaining calm and a polite smile upon it. Even if they were enemies, he was hoping it wouldn't cause some hostile events. Knight was the cool headed one, while his brother swooned over every mare he met. The black demon didn't know why that was, but he had a feeling it had to do with something in his brother's past. He just hoped that maybe Helix would settle down soon, and have a nice family. Giving a soft snort at the idea, he waited for Ebony's answer. His muscles showed out through his lean coat, as a hoof dragged across the ground, as if he was nervous or embarrased. Truth was, he just did out of old habbit. When he and his brother had taken over lead of his parents' herd for a short time, Knight had been the one to call meetings. While waiting for the group to show, he would paw the ground restlessly, like he just did. He stopped himself from doing it again, for he was slightly nervous as he waited for a reply. However, he was careful to keep it from showing. He didn't want Ebony to have a bad impression of him. She and her sister seemed okay enough. He just hoped that this meeting wouldn't be short...
