Izzy-Bandit

Izzy walked over one hill after another. Her paws silent. She had heard of a old den not to far away from were they lived. Her stomach was not yet swollen to the full extent. But kits did squirm inside. She smiled and looked over to her mate Bandit. Bandit didn't stray far from her side. Their feet moved in unison. Soon she found a bunch of burrows barley big enough for her and her mate to stay in. They would need work though. She sniffed the entrance and pulled back. There was still some thing living here. She looked over to Bandit who returned her confused gaze. Bandit lowered his head and peeked in. It was still early morning the sun hadn't come up much yet. They would probably find out what lived here soon. Bandit laid down right out side the entrance, as Izzy sat above...

Candy, Scar Face, Houdini, Drake

Candy the Leader of this meerkat clan awoke first. Her mate and some of her family had vanished awhile ago and she had no clue where they were so there family diminished. She was heading up when she halted at the smell. Sadly this den wasn't connected to other dens yet for it was newer. So they could either sit down here and wait or she could go face on with what ever was above. She waited to see if they would just go away.

Scar face waited beside her. Houdini who was one of Candy's last litter of pups was curious and wanted to go forward but held back.

Drake waited as well.

Izzy-Bandit

Izzy walked over to the entrance. It smelt of many differnt animals. All of the same race. She began to wirm her way down the tunnel and froze she couldn't go further. She squirmed back out and barked. The tunnels were only a little to small for her. She barked down it and waited for a noise to tell her if there was some thing down there.

Candy

Candy could tell one was trying to get down and backed her family up. But then the thing backed out and started barking. Maybe if they were silent they would go away. If this didn't work she would run out with her sharp teeth revealed.

Izzy-Bandit

Bandit looked at Izzy she was a little larger than he. He squished his way down into the tunnel and found him self face to face with a odd creature.

Izzy listened for a response but nothing happened. She staired at the den a little longer untill Bandit went in. She sat right out side. waiting.

Candy

Candy saw the creature coming and immediatly made the meerkat hissing noise and growling and ran at him. The others followed suit there tails over their backs.They were insect eaters and these things by the way they looked seemedl ike predators but no matter what they were they were intruding into their home...well one of many.

Izzy-Bandit

Bandit let out a screach and ran back to the entrance and out. He looked at Izzy her expetion was shock. She looked down into the tunnel and saw the out line of a small creature. She barked at it. Her bark was totally different from the dog barks. They bared Their teeth in defence.

Candy

Candy kept chasing him and soon the four were out there tails up hissing and growling at the two.Their baring the teeth just itched them more and they began to jump and down moving forward.Stinking predatorsGrowled houdinin the youngest in the group.

Izzy-Bandit

Izzy backed away as more of the small creatures filled out. She looked at Bandit who was as alway next to her. Stinking preditors One growled. She stared at that one her eyes not eaving it. Bandit hissed at them and barked. Finally he turned to Izzy. "It obviously has some thing living in it lets look else were" He said calmly. Izzy turned and looked at him. Were else was there with so much prey? Most places here had no were near as much. She sighed "We can look else were as in we can look in the prairie?"...

Candy

She kept her stance but they waited to see what the preditors would do. They had made it so they only had one exit.

Izzy-Bandit

Izzy looked over to the creatures then to Bandit. She whispered to him "Well maybe if we ask they will let us stay a while...." He looked at her like she was crazy. Then he walked up to what looked like the leader. "Hello" he was a bit taller than it. "Me and my mate have been looking for a home... would you mind if we stayed here for a while?"

Candy

Candy stood tall now to her full height and she hissed.There isn't a burrow big enough for her and you are not ruining ours!She spoke. Plus what benifit will we get? Your predators you will eat usShe spoke.

Izzy-Bandit

He looked at the small things. It what they said was mostly true. She couldn't fit most of the way. And yes if they knew what they were they probibly eat these creatures. "Yes she doesn't fit all the way in. But she can fit most of the way. And we could offer protection..." He looked over to Izzy for approval. She simply nodded. "Yes we could offer protection. In returen you give us a place to raise our young..." She smiled.

Candy

If you ruin a burrow we will not hesitate to change our mind for they are only means of safety. We'll give you a chance but watch it, Us meerkats take on Cobra's and win so don't think you two can pull a quick one on usShe spoke.You may take a hole over there away from our main oneShe spoke.

Izzy - Bandit

Izzy and bandit nodded at the same time. She looked over to the burrow. at least it was some thing that could hold young life. She and bandit walked over to the burrow and investigated. She soon walked in and curled up in a ball. Bandit sat out side watching the land scape and the animals on it. Her pups would be coming soon and he need to learn how to live here.
