Cavan

The cloudy-hued wolf sauntered intently over the land, casting his head this way and that and twitching his nose as he analyzed all scents. His face was a myraid of scars and his one good ear was now only a pathetic stump of flesh that didn't bring in sounds too well. He was rather hard of hearing now. And with one good eye, he was antsy about anyone sneaking up on him.

Rae

Raven watched the battle scared wolf from the shadows that she always seemed to haunt. She was not very social and did not trust easily.

Cavan

His eye and ear were no good right now to tell him someone was watching him. His nose was the sense that alerted him of the fae. Slowly he brought his treck to a halt and began to look around until his eye finally caught sight of Raven. He was silent for a moment before saying in saying in a quick tone, "You are?" Cavan was very on edge.

Rae

Raven growled slightly then answered"Im Raven, and you are?" her golden optics flashed untrustingly.

Cavan

His deaf but normal-looking ear planed out to the side as his head dropped low. "You don't need to know that." he retorted with a slight snarl. "Are you following me or something?" he snapped out. Here was his aggitated paranoia showing through.

Rae

"I dont follow others, I just stay to the shadows. I rarely come out to talk to any one." Raven said and a low growl escaped from her vocals.

Cavan

Despite himself, he found her attitude somewhat appealing. It seemed, at least, to match his in a way. After a gruding moment, he relented to give his name, "I'm Cavan. I don't like anyone surprising me." he pointed out gruffly, no longer snarling in tone. But his voice wasn't all-too friendly either.

Rae

"I am Raven, sorry if I 'scared' you" she said to him.

Cavan

He raised his eye slightly, wondering if she were mocking his fear or actually appologizing. "Rae, huh?" he repeated after a moment. "How long have you been around here?" he inquired, for no real reason at all. He shied away from the company of his fellow species most of the time, but not now.

Rae

"I have been here for only a short time. You would have never seen me, for I haunt the the shadows and rarely come out to 'socialize'." she said.

Cavan

"Hmmph." he responded, gruffly acknowledging her statement. "I've been here all my life. But it seems we have one thing in common." he pointed out with a strange edge in his voice, relating to how he too wasn't social.

rae

"Seems we do" she responded in her monotone voice. She like him, he was not very social like her, and he was stubborn.
