Blackened Song

She had finally escaped her captivity. But she was heavily pregnant and due any day. So as she neared Tall Grass prarie with its snow covered ground she begant to worry about birthing till she came across a den. It was deserted according to the smell so slowly she crawled down into it. Her whole body on alert.

When she was sure that it was deserted she plucked herself a little to make the ground alittle softer before she entered labor. The first one out was a male. She would call him Rephaim. He was all black with white streaks running down his sides and a white blaze down his face. She cleaned him off as she began to push the first female out.

This one was female that she would call Naiche, She was pitch black with an off white underside, Cheeks and front paws. She began to clean her of as well when teh last one came into the world.

This one was also female and she would be called Neferyt. She was Silver furred with a darker ruff Forehead and back. Slightly lighter understide.

After they were all cleaned up she let them nurse for quiet a while as she slept. However she knew when she woke hse would need to find food. She had left her scent prominant outside this den and a few meters away to keep any who might think to harm her pups or her. She didn't know where any of her family was, Chili her daughter, her grandpups whod also been caught. she would find them all she would.

Blue & Whiteout

The change is seasons brought a welcome amount of energy for the two wolf hybrids. The sunshine and spike in temperatures brought joy to the down-trodden emotions that winter cursed them with. Now the air was fresh with the promise of rebirth. The snow was slowly melting here on the lowlands. Before the Valley knew it, summer would arrive.

Blue and Whiteout began their day with an extra amount of energy. The siblings embarked on an adventure to hunt, and after their small meal of hare, the duo began to participate in games. What began as hearty play near the creek, led to Blue being soaked, and then the two streaking across the tall grass in a race. It's Blue who comes to a violent halt, Whiteout still bounding away from her until he realizes his sister's absence and comes to a halt. His ears twitch, yellow eyes questioning his sister mutely. Blue raises her nose to the wind, taking in a gulp of air in hopes to relocate what had dragged her to a stop. There. She knew that smell. Birth. Blue bounds across an icy patch, skittering to a halt as she spies the mouth of a den hidden behind a small of yellowed vegetation. Whiteout isn't far behind, mutely keeping his distance while warily watching his sister and her discovery.

Peaking her nose curiously into den, cautious at the same time. There could be a very pissed-off badger within. Or something else, but Blue wasn't going to take her chances. Yet her burning curiousity egged her onward. "H-hello?" She quietly whispers into the darkness of the den.

Blackened Song

Blackened was sleeping peacefully while her pups slept and nurse. However; she was beginning to wake because she needed to hunt. But; it scared her to leave the den unguarded. However; a word made her head shoot up and her ears to go back. She snarled. Even if they were friendly an older animal would know better then to stick their face into another den and she knew the smell of birth had to stil be present.

Standing up now as her motherly instincts took hold she moved forward teeth bared. If she did not remove her face from the den entrance she would recieve a bite. If she did Blackened song would emerge with bared teeth. If you were smart you'd back away from my den and return to your mother In her eyes the way that she behaved said she should still be learning from her pack. Her tail was high and stiff, her ears flat back and her ruff ruffled.

Blue & Whiteout

It was the brother who growled softly at his curious sister, warily expecting something upset to writhe out from the depths of the den and latch onto Blue's face. "Blue..." Whiteout warded. No sooner had the male spoken, a savage hiss from within the den made Blue leap backwards with surprise. The white wolf couldn't help but sigh softly, eyes rolling at the foolishness of his sister. "You're lucky she gave you a warning," Whiteout grumbles.

Meanwhile, Blue stands with her fur on edge. She wasn't the most cautious of creatures, and luck had been on she side that Blackened Song had the nerve to snarl a warning before she took to her teeth. Blue pants, her blood racing. "I'm so sorry...I honestly didn't think someone would make a den out here in the middle of nowhere," Blue fervently apologizes to the mother within the darkness of the den. She flashes Whiteout a distraught look, frowning. It didn't seem right, a lone mother. The neutral lands of the Valley were treacherous, especially to a newly-birthed family. Why was Blackened Song out here alone, instead of home with her pack? While Blue paid heed to Blackened Song's blunt advice, the she-wolf remained planted to the spot, several paces from the mouth of the den. "Wh-where is your pack?" Blue asks, her voice hardly sustained over a whisper. The thought of bearing pups, out here where any bored-enough predator could get to them, caused Blue's heart to go out to Blackened Song. Something her seemed amiss.

Whiteout's ears pin back at his sister, remaining behind her. "Blue." He hisses, hoping this mother doesn't emerge from the den, teeth barred, because Blue's cursed curiosity and compassion.

Blackened Song

She came above ground her body defensive and she was ready to kill if she needed to. ,b>you shouldn't assume anything, you smell someone in a den it is stupid to stick your head in whether its someone whose given birth or notShe said.

She lucky she was showing no signs of aggression or Black would of been on her faster then a cheetah. I have no pack my life is none of your business pupShe said. when you have to give birth you can't be very picky on where you do it better in a den then out here in the openShe said. Her brother had much more sense.

Blue & Whiteout

The male's ears twitch as he growls warily to his sister. "Blue, let's go," He implores, stepping forward to nudge his sister's side.

Blue sinks back, her shoulders slumping in defeat. Desperate eyes flicker from the mouth of the den, and then to her brother. Finally she rises to her paws, head lowered. "Fine, let us go," she murmurs.

Time passes before Blue finds herself trotting back to the place where she found the den. In her mouth is a freshly-slain rabbit, the side torn open for easy access. The she-wolf drops it gently at the mouth of the den, before pivoting and vanishing back into the tall grass. She doesn't expect any thank-you, especially after the previous encounter with Blackened Song. The she-wolf moves slowly, glancing back to see if the mother wolf at least receives the meal left for her. Someone out on her own had very little time to hunt, and Blue only wanted to be kind. Hopefully, the rabbit would bring even a little relief to the wolf.

Blackened Song

Part of her hating being like this but she just had pups and was alone and did not know these two. Finally they leave and she relaxes by sitting down and grooming herself trying to get the courage up to go hunt.

However; just as she is about to get up and do it the female returns with a fresh rabbit kill. thank youShe said. She wasn't rude. She let her go however; as she laid down to eat the meal. it would be enough for the day.

Blue

Blue halts when she hears Blackened Song speak, her fur sticking out on ends. She turns to face the she-wolf, dipping her head politely. "I'm sorry for the previous encounter. I've much lost my manners as a wanderer," She apologizes swiftly, offering Blackened Song a grim smile. She glances back at the grasses, knowing her brother is out there somewhere awaiting her return before the sun sets. Blue then looks over at Blackened Song. "You may turn down my offer...but if you're truly alone without a pack, I'd offer you protection. A new mother shouldn't be alone. But, if you wish to be alone, I'll depart now." She goes out on a limb in this invitation, hoping Blackened Song didn't perceive it as another boundary Blue is overstepping. The matter of this situation just didn't weight right on Blue's soul. She isn't proposing anything beyond temporary protection, until Blackened Song is perhaps recovered from the initial birthing of her pups. But, whatever Blackened Song's choice is, Blue knows she has to respect it and keep her distance at that.

Blackened Song

She listens as she eats the rabbit. Wanderer? So is that what everyone was now? She was lost from her capture. Where was everyone, everyone she had been with that day had all been caught. Her daughter chhili her grandpups. She had tried to find them in her escape but her fear of being caught drove her away.

Her ears flick at it. Her senses returning now that she was calmed down. You may stay but do not come in my denShe didn't trust or know this wolf and therefore would not let her near her pups.

Blue

Blue bows her head to Blackened Song, respecting the distance the she-wolf desires. She'll remain as a barrier between the outside world and the life within the den. The wall in which a pack would normally provide for their newborns. Blue decides to end it at that. She'd be the watchful guardian for now. She takes her post several paces from the den itself, watchful eyes sweeping across the darkening horizon of the prairie. "I'll remain as long as you desire. Say the world, and I'll disembark," Blue states, dipping her head. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask."

Blackened song

Blackened song did not know how long she'd let the other stay around for but , she didn't have many other options right now. At least till the pups were old enough to come out of the den she would have to take the wolves offer to hang out. After finishing the rabbit she vanished back into the den.

Blue

Blue watches Blackened Song vanish back into the den, eyes softening as she hears the she-wolf return to her children. Blue remains a few tails length from the mouth of the den, gazing out over the darkening horizon. She wonders if she'll form any sort of relationship with the mother, or meet the pups, but Blue doesn't drown herself with too many wonders, preparing for the strict formalities of her serviceship to Blackened Song. She could be dismissed tomorrow and she would have to accept that. Whenever that happened, Blue at least knew she was trying her best to help the mother. Everything from here was up to Blackened Song.

Blackened song

She fell asleep letting her puppies nurse.
