Solange

Mocha stained pools waltzed over the multi colored grasses. With each stride of her slim, short legs the blades tickled her flanks and belly. The femmora's expressive blazed fascade dipped sniffing among the new scenery. Lovely. Sighed the pretty petite mare. Audits turned this way and that catching the whistles of the wind. A lovely day indeed.

DYANI*
style over quality

Dyani was a beauitful Paint mare. At least, that's what her mother had told her, in the first couple years of her life. At first, she started out believing it and was quite happy because of it, but then she was seemingly told otherwise by them. Snatched right from the warmth of the hay and her mother and shoved into darkness. It made her shiver anymore.

The mare was unusual for a purebred Paint, though only by a bit. She didn't really look all that much like one, being completely white with nothing but a dark brown splotch around her left eye. She'de learned to live with these so called "misfortunes" and came to like her uniqueness. She was a proud mare. After all, things could have turned out "worse", according to them. Mismatched eyes- one crystal blue, and the other, an even darker shade of brown- scanned the wide open prairie with little shown interest. Who knew what she was there for. That's another quality of hers- how she could be so mysterious at times. She blended into the snow of the land quite well and was often caught using this to her advantage as she prowled about the lands. On this chilly day, those bright eyes landed on something rather particular. It was the form of another equine. A mare. Ears pricking, Dyani picked up a lope and headed for the other. A nicker was offered in greeting once she drew near enough.

Solange

Audits swiveled atop her dainty framed cranium. Soft doe eyeds watched the other mare intently. Catching sight of her unique mismatched eyes she blinked. Oh, fancy. She thought to herself silently. No sarcasm intended. She pawed playfully at the ground, prancing a few steps forward she gave her tiara a welcoming toss. A sweet melody left her mug. Greetings! Cheerfully rang.

DYANI*

Dyani kept her eyes locked onto the other mare, ears flickering to show she was still quite alert. It wasn't too often that she got out and actually had a decent conversation with someone, particularly another horse, and this was no chance for her to pass up. She didn't know what drew her to speak with this mare. Maybe it was just pure boredom, or perhaps lonliness? She wouldn't let her thoughts show.
The Paint walked up to Solange and stopped a couple yards away, snorted her own greeting with a bob of her elegant head. "Greetings," she stated, a small smile seeming to writhe across her muzzle. A long white tail flicked absentmindedly at her hocks. "My name is Dyani." she introduced herself, looking this other mare over lightly.

Solange

Arching her neck the mare stopped her prancing. Extending her muzzle to catch the new face's scent. Her eyes looked at her softly, and with a friendly aura. Nice to meet you, Dyani. I'm Solange. Her melody soft and pleasent, not fake, nor hasty. It'd be a bore, wandering alone for so long. Maybe she'd found a friend? Someone to trust. Perhaps perhaps.

DYANI*

The nearly all-colorless mare bobbed her head, listening unusually closely as the other gave her name. Dyani breathed in the stranger's new scent carefully, surveying and studying everything in her mind as she observed the other in a quite casual manner. Her eyes held a rather serious gleam to them. Anyone could tell she meant business, yet there was no need for it. Dyani wasn't exactly someone to open up in the first conversation. "Nice to meet you..." she replied, questioning her own words now. Just randomly starting up a conversation wasn't something she was particularly good at, especially when it was just your everyday topic.

Solange

Her brow raised quizzically at the mare. Not to be cliche, but she wondered if she was faking it. She didn't let it go to her head though. "So..." She said with some humor. "Come here often?"

DYANI*

A soft sigh slipped from the mare, almost absentmindedly. Someone might notice her true craziness one of these days, but so far, she had been great at hiding whatever misfortunes she'de overcome in the past. After all, it was the past, and she saw no reason to look back at it all the time. For reference, perhaps, but it wasn't something she often enjoyed.

She bobbed her head once more, practically sensing this other mare's own wondering. She soon forgot about it, though. Such a meeting probably wouldn't last. "No, actually. It's my first time in the Valley." she said. "Do you live here?"
