Nightcrawler

The ebony-tainted wolf tredded steadily through the thick grass blades. He was hungry, but not terribly so. His keen ears were listening intently for the sounds of mice while his eyes and nose were atuned for grouse and other rodents.

After a long search, Nightcrawler calls it quits. Besides, he knew just how much his dark pelt stood out in this open area; it was dangerous if a human chanced upon him. The ebon brute headed out of the area.
