Samil

It seemed the snow had stopped for awhile before it would start falling again. Its angry wrath was still to come later on though. The ground was covered with snow, and little bits of grass stood up here and there as if determined not to give in yet. Frozen red flowers fought the bitter coldness not wanting to die, but they would slowly lose at the temperature kept dropping. It was quite a sad and beautiful sight at the same time. Samil lead his group here with Asher his best friend. They circled the mares constantly who we're about to have foals soon. Not to mention they we're looking for dangers such as other stallions, or maybe a lone mare or two they could get.

The mares grazed silently ignoring the stallions at the moment. Most of them had been forced to join Asher and Samil, but they we're used to the two now.

Ultair & Others

Blending in with the pale landscape around her, Icefell led her small group towards the top of a small rise. The dappled Orlov Trotter stood statuesque for a long moment, ears swiveling and dark eyes scanning the land around her before she lowered her head and pawed at the frozen ground to find some forage.

Milling up around their mother, Polemos and his twin sister Lysismach joined the mare in pawing the snow away to reveal the meek remains of what had once been lush green grasses. And not far behind them was Innops, a half sister of the two and carrying a dark coat that set her out against the whitened scenery around them.

Making their way up from the bottom of the hill, two more mares slowly idled through the snow, while a lone stallion took up the rear and kept a watch out for danger. The chocolately-coated, dense-muscled Ultair looked like a sure and strong lead, but he was not the dominant creature that his late brother had been. Failing to notice the other group of horses just over the next rise, Ultair joined his little family in foraging through the snowy fields for vegetation.

Samil

Samil was just about to turn around to go graze froze. Sniffing the air he confirmed other equines near by. What made him excited was by the smell their were a lot of females and only 1 male. Calling to Asher and the group he lead them toward the smell. The mares we're going to run to the other mares to get them mingled togather. That way it would be easier to get the two groups togather. Than Asher and Samil would deal with the stallion. Looking down upon the group from the hill before Samil gave a harsh battle cry to Ultair before charging at him. Asher made to patrol around the mares and the foals when his mares joined with Ultairs.

Ultair & Others

Nares flaring wide, the draft mix gave a throaty scream in reply to Samil, before pounding his hooves against the ground and meeting the other stallion's charge. He may not be the best fighter around, but he wasn't going to turn tail and run from a fight without first giving his herd a chance to run.

While Ultair met Samil with kicking hooves and gnashing teeth, Icefell stamped a hoof against the ground and flattened her frosty ears back. "Leave us be!" Glaze and Blackberry closed in next to their lead, while Polemos and his two sisters squeezed in with the mares, trying to keep from being separated from them.

Asher

Asher snorted continued to circle the mares to stop them from running.

Samil kicked and snapped out at Ultair. "Can't fight huh colt,"he said making sniddy comments.

Dreamscape in all this confusion had gone into shock, and without realizing it she was about to give brith. Her whole body was alive with contractions, and she let out a painful neigh where she stood next to Glaze. Ignoring the fact that she was suppose to be serperating the mares and foals she stood there waiting for the birthing to be over with. Lamia however made to break Blackberry and Glaze up to stand between them so that if Ultair made to collect his herd he would be unable to get them without getting the other two mares which would make Asher and Samil come after him. She was pregnant too, and was hoping the mares wouldn't show violence toward her. However she wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Ultair & Others

Catching a glancing blow from one of Samil's hooves, Ultair staggered back for just a moment before rising up with flailing front legs, trying to dash his heaving hooves against the other stallion's neck or chest, "I'll show you 'fight', scum!"

Blackberry offered a nip at anyone that got too close to her, while the adolescent Polemos kicked at any mare that got near him. He was not yet his full-grown size, but he was already larger than his two sisters, and showing a build promising of strength. Glaze had tried to stay near Blackberry, but in the confusing of mares around her, and the startled cry of pain from Dreamscape, the mare panicked and tried to bolt when Lamia came between her and Glaze; only to be stopped by Asher as he circled the group.

"Enough, everyone!" Icefell cried out in a ringing neigh, briefly rising up on her hindlegs to let herself be both seen and heard, "You! Stallion, give me your name!" Trying to bring a little bit of order to the otherwise chaotic scene, the mare turned her dark eyes heatedly upon Asher.

Asher

Asher watched amused at the commotion around him. He attepted to lightly nip Blackberry wehn she attepted to bolt. It wouldn't hurt her, but it was a warning for her to get back in the group. "Asher,"he said looking to Icefell ignoring the anger in her eyes.

Dreamscape gave birth to a little colt that had just gotten to his feet, and now was trying to nurse. My little Alydar she thought.

Lamia managed to avoid Blackberry's nip, but was hit with Polemos hoof. It was a good thing it wasn't as strong as it could be or it might of injured the foal inside of her. However it sent her into giving birth. Soon she too had a colt by her. She was making sure in all the mayham none of the mares are other foals came to close. Mother insticts had taken over. Prince she thought with a smile of her new son's name.

Samil was successfully kicked in the chest, but he simply attepted to return the kick. It was harder aimed at the stallion. He was a good fighter Samil thought. Now only if he would submit than he might be able to stay with the group. Like him and Asher he would be able to breed with the non related mares, and boss them around as he seated fit. However he would be under Asher and Samil ranks. He ignored Icefell's command to stop unless Ultair stopped first.

Ultair & Others

Blackberry gave a squeal of indignation and alarm at being nipped at, but it had the desired affect Asher was looking for. Turning heel, the darkly-colored mare bolted back towards her friends, lashing her tail like an angry banner as she went. Icefell stomped her hoof again to the ground, grounding the powdery snow down beneath the force of it. Her eyes passed over Asher after studying him for a moment, before they flickered to the new mothers and their young, and finally towards Samil and Ultair. "Cease your fighting!"

Bloodied and bruised, Ultair was ready to keep fighting, even though he began to realize he was on the loosing end of things. What finally got him to back down was Ice's voice ringing above the commotion; she, more than him, had been the little herd's leader, and it was her that he listened too. "Alright, alright! I give!" The stallion panting, taking several hastily steps back from the challenger.

Icefell spoke again, after Ultair had conceded the fight, "What are your demands, stallions? And who are your allies?" Really, the mare was in no position to be demanding like she was, but her nature was a fiery, protective one, and she would be strong for her friends.

Samil

Samil stopped fighting once Ultair gave in. Slightly bruised and bleeding he raised his head higher than the stallion. With that he made to herd Ultair back to the other watching for any sign of rebellion from the stallion.

Dreamscape and Lamia we're still taking care of the colts beside them. Alydar seeing the other foals between the mares nickered not understanding the situtation. Prince didn't however due to he couldn't see them from being partly blind. He stayed next to his mother unsure.

Asher was the one to answer Icefell his voice calm, and yet haunting like. "You will be joining our herd. Including you stallion for proving that you can be a subordient under me and Samil, but you will still have some rights above the mares. After everything's been settled the stallions will agree upon a lead mare,"he said eyeing all of them.

Ultair & Others

As anxious are her own youngsters were, Icefell quietly registered what all was happening and what it meant for her; not that she had much choice in the matter anyway, as it was the stallions who had control of them. After a moment of thought, Ice nodded her dappled head once, "We will follow you without resist." It was said more for Ultair and the rest of what had just moments ago been her herd.

Ultair took up a submissive posture, allowing himself to be herded back with the others. Quite frankly, he was beyond relieved that he was not only being allowed to stay with them, but to be offered a chance with some of the mares.

Samil

Samil smiled before he and Asher moved to greet sniff each mare. They even examined the foals with happy looks on their faces. They knew the offspring would make the herd strong. "Whos the strongest mare of you group,"he asked Glaze, Icefell, and Blackberry. Blinking Samil wondered how long till the mares would be able to have another foal, but he didn't ask them.

Alydar moved toward Polomes and the other two wanting to play. He was quite curious. Prince had finally caught site of the other foals, and moved to play too however he couldn't see too far so he was careful as he went.
