Kalaber

Kalaber was wonderng on his own for once in a life time again. His mind still confused. Did he really make that deal with risen ? What for? He only got wither when they weren't fighting. That was not what he wanted. What did he want? Why didn't he die along with his mother and sister? Why did Risen have her pack steal his family and then kill one of them? He sat down and let out a loud howl of moarning and confusion. His mind was also thinking of just using the alliance as a way to get rid of the shadow haunters in a way.

Karitania

Karitania had been grieving for her pack for too long. She was only just getting over the deaths of her pack mates, and in particular her sister, Titania, in the fight at Pike's Lake. She was out alone, wandering the Priarie to collect her thoughts. Dangerous prehaps, but she wasn't all too bothered about dying right now.

When the scent of Kalaber hit her, she felt a pang of sadness in her heart. He reminded her of the fight, and all the painful memories flooded back to her of the friends, family and allies she had lost. Still, she couldn't ignore him, he seemed to be on his own, as she was. She didn't know about his alliance with Risen or his betrayal of the Lurkers...

"Kalaber..." she said quietly, gently, by way of greeting as she approached him. She sat down a few feet before him, her amber eyes filled with pain and sadness, but dignity and pride, "How...H-how are you?"

Kalaber

Kalaber sat where he was and his ears flicked at anothers words. One of his allies...HE turned his head and his ears went back. Word hadn't gotten out or too far yet. But he was confused. He wasn't even sure making the alliance with risen was even worth it. Wither wasn't fully back home and ynear wasn't home at all. His mind was playing games with him. He might be going the same way as black plaque. His ears stayed back.Karitania.. I.... Im fine and I'm notHe spoke. He knew all his allies would want to kill him once they found out but he didn't know what to do with his life anyways. He was loosing his family slowly.

Karitania

Karitania smiled weakly and her ears shifted forward to show that she was listening. "It seems I'm not the only one who hasn't quite recovered after the fi-...after that," she mused, her eyes momentarily dropping to the ground before lifting back to meet his, "Do you want to talk about it? Maybe it will make it easier for both of us?"

Kalaber

He listened to her nd lowered his head at the mention of the fight. That was a ver grim defeat. HE sighed. He lowered his ears. Its not about the war Karitania i've done a bad thing a very bad thing and I am finally realizing that it might of been the wrong way for me to bring happiness to me.he spoke . His eyes casted down away from her.He was confused and his mind was slowly returning to normal and now he was realizing his mistake on making an alliance wit the haunters. but he was scared to say it out right. But then again they could turn this to their advantage...

Karitania

Karitania's smile faded, and she looked confused. She whined softly, and took a couple of tentative steps forward before laying in front of Kalaber with her ears back. "What do you mean? It can't be that bad, Kalaber...What 'bad thing' have you done?" Her amber eyes were full of concern, and the usually proud, aloof alphess had suddenly shown her caring compassionate side to her ally - or ex-ally, as she was about to find out.

"You can tell me. We're friends..."

Kalaber

HE watched her and took a step back as she came in front of him. Tears fell because he was mad at himself. How can I? You'll kill me and so will all the others. I did it cause I was confused. I didn't know what I was doing! I don't want it to be any more. I wish it was a nightmare. He spoke whining the whole time. He may be strong but at this time he wasn't. He was breaking down right in front of Karitania.I made a deal with risen. And I regret it. It wasn't the right way to get my happiness i only get wither when the haunters aren't in fights. Thats not enough. I don't know what to do. I'm not gonna fight in the war any more for either side but still Its killing me for doing it! Now I know you'll want to kill meHe cried out.

Koga flew over head and landed on the ground.Kalaber, Aphrodite said that her ex pack is going to tell the lurkershe then took off.Kalaber listened and stood up and then pushed his face down between his two front legs and just stood there with his head tucked tears falling. He couldn't take it....He was falling apart.

Karitania

As tears began to fall from Kalaber's eyes, Karitania knew this was far more than some silly mistake. Her ears went back, but she didn't move to comfort the distraught wolf before her. Silently she listened to him explain that he didn't know what he was doing. She suddenly became anxious, dreading what was coming next.

What he said was something she had never expected.

Risen? He made a deal with Risen?! The rest of his words were nothing; time stood still for her. His breakdown had no witness, for Karitania no longer acknowledged the male in front of her. Her defiant amber eyes had become hollow shells, losing their sparkle, losing everything, and had fallen to the ground. Her ears remained pinned to her skull, and for a minute, just a minute, she seemed as though she would simply lay there.

Then she exploded.

A horrific roar tore from her throat, as she sprung to her paws, her brilliant eyes blazing with pure rage, and her teeth on full show to Kalaber. Her hackles were raised, fur on edge, ruff expanded and neck tucked, and her voice: it was a vicious hiss, something that was not meant to come from such a wolfess as Karitania, and it rumbled from her with such intensity that her whole body shook in utter disbelief and anger.

"A BAD THING, KALABER?! THIS ISN'T A BAD THING, THIS IS THE WORST THING YOU COULD HAVE DONE. DO YOU NOT REALISE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?! WE HAVE SACRIFICED EVERYTHING FOR YOU, AND YOU THROW IT BACK IN OUR FACES FOR JOINING RISEN!"

Images of those that had been lost at the recent battle flashed through her mind. The montage ended with her pack, who's numbers had been decimated at Pike's Lake, and in the centre of those stood her sister. Titania had never wanted to fight, but she had for Karitania, who had in turn placed her trust in Hydras and Lyckos. And Hydras and Lyckos had trusted Kalaber; the one who had called them all out to battle.

"You. Make. Me. Sick." she spat vehemently. With Koga's news that someone was informing the Lurkers, a cruel smirk twisted the alphess' pretty face. "You're as good as dead, Kalaber. I won't kill you, but I know that Lyckos will. He lost his mate and son for you, and the Lurkers will rally for him. If I'm not wrong, Risen will probably turn on you too. Better grovel to her and prove your worth, or you'll be carrion before the sun sets this evening."

Karitania than spun round, and began to make her way out of the Prairie. "I have to go and see the three packmates I have left, thanks to you, to find us a new home where we can be protected from this war. I'll see you on the battlefield, Kalaber. Dead, hopefully."

However, she didn't leave. Her pace was deliberately slow, just waiting for an excuse, anything. This next speech from him would decide whether she helped or hated him.

Kalaber

Kalaber listened to her and shook his head. He took the blow of words without a word then lifted his head. You won't see me on no battlefield. I've given up everything. I refuse to fight and risen knows this too. I will not aid her in battle I only did it to see Wither and be with Wither. but now i realize that is not good enough. I'm sorry and i won't stop you from hating me so go right aheadHe spoke turning his head awya.
