Sundance,White Lightning,Moon Beam,Sunstar,Flicka
Sundance led the way.Her whipcord held up slightly. Her nares flared.Ears swivling the chestnut paint soon slowed to a halt and scanned the area and then lowered her muzzle to graze.
White lightning the palomino followed after her head high and eyes searching the land before she too began to graze.
Next was Moonbeam a blue roan quarter horse mare. She bucked once before settling down.
then there was sunstar and black paint. She let out a whinnie and soon settled down to grzing.
last was the youngest of the bunch at 2 years old a bucksking mare. She just looked around
Ghost, Kinta, Belle & Eve
The ghostly white stallion with faint spots of black stepped into the prairie, following after the first set of mares. He sighed deeply, smelling the air, making sure there was no trouble near. Then, when everyone was settled and secure, he dropped his own head to snatch a few occasional mouthfuls of the delicious grass, though it was partly covered in snow.
Kinta, a Paint, preferred to follow Ghost. She stepped near him, stopped almost when he did. She was in the middle of him and the other mares. After she was sure nothing was out there, she dropped her head to graze.
Belle and Eve, both Quarter horses, stopped near the outside of the bunch. Either of them would drop their head to snatch some grass, then lift to survey their new surroundings.
Storm Chaser; Coyote; Alora
A lone Spanish Mustang stallion led two mares over the snowy ground. His breath fogged as it left his nostrils. Seeing the other mares, he reared up in a display of strength and dominance.
Coyote, a Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse, and Alora, an Arabian, stood a short distance from Storm Chaser, taking a good look around before dipping their heads to graze.
Sundance
Sundance lifted her head as she saw the stallion and she snorted and tossed her head. She looked back to her stallion and snorted.
White Lightning lifted her head and snorted.
Moonbeam,Sunstar and Flicka snorted.
A late arrival then appeared the only other stallion in the group.Thunders Call stopped by his lead.He snorted.Looks like someone wants your mares m'lordHe spoke watching the other carefully
Ghost, Kinta, Belle & Eve
At the sound of a nearby call, all three of the mares lifted their heads to look in the direction. They began to snort as well. It was like sneezing-- a catchy little thing. Their ears were pricked forward in interest, though they showed no other motion.
Ghost gave his own snort as he stared hard at this unknown stallion, and then the two mares behind him. Then he watched as Thuders Call appeared. "Yea, but it won't happen." he stated, quite confidently. He pawed the ground harshly, annoyed.
Storm Chaser; Coyote; Alora
Storm pawed the ground as well, tossing his head. He wanted a fight. He would get these mares. All of them. Nothing would stop him, he thought.
Coyote and Alora thought nothing of it. It was just another day in their lives.
Sundance
She snroted and moved to her steed and began to groom him trying to let the stallion know she would not go willingly with him if he won.Her ears back.
Shall i take him on first my lordhje spoke.
