Flower,Tosca,Mitch,Mozart,Sophie

Flower led her small group of meerkats threw the grass.She stopped and now she and her family began marking a poriton of theis place as theirs. Then they began to dig holes and burrow down.

Rage

The injured meerkat had been limping for at least a week, her wound on her hind leg had been infected. When she saw the other Meerkats, she froze, afraid. Where the friendly, and take in a wanderer. Or where they like most of the bastards? Rage called out to them, her brown eyes glazed with fear.

Flower

Flower the leader of the group stood up on hind end and watched the other.She looked around.She then raced off toward the female.She immediatly began to sniff her. There was no scent of others so she did what the leader would do to her subordinates and marked her which would be clear to the female that she has been accepted

Zaphod,Carlos.

Zaphod patted up silently as a snake.He spotted a group of meerkats and wondered if he could join.He was 6 years old male meerkat.He had journeyed here with his best friend Carlos.He waited for the domaint to come and look at him.

Carlos waited silently too.He was nervous unlike his friend Zaphod.He was a 4 year old male meerkat.He looked like most meerkats do.He sometimes liked to get in trouble,but through thick and thin he be there for you no matter what.If a fight came he be at the front ready to defend,as always.Htae me if you want to,love me if you can he thought.

Flower

Flower finished with the female when Mitch started sending out an alert call.Flower stood up again and immediatly raced off toward the two Mitch following behind her.He knew they were males.

Zaphod,Carlos.

Carlos saw Flower and Mitch running toward them.He wanted to run like crazy,but he wouldn't leave his friend to face them alone.He may be many things,but he wasn't a bad friend.

Zaphod stood and waited for the two to get nearer.He was older than Mitch and a bit more experienced,but he couldn't say the same about Flower.Neither could she say anything about me he thought.

Flower & Mitch

Flower stopped every so often and stood on her hind end.Then finally they were at them and flower immeidatly started sniffing Zaphod.

Mitch went for carlos checking the male out.

Zaphod,Carlos.

Carlos was a bit nervous when Mitch started sniffing him.He let him thought,without a complaint.He wasn't going to ruin their chances of a home.

Zaphod wasn't scared or nervous.He stood still while Flower sniffed him."I'm Zaphod and this is Carlos,"he said.He felt weird since usually he was domaint over Carlos,and now wondered what he be in this group.He wouldn't ask though thinking it might bug the domaint.

Flower

She listened and at first didn't respond instead she began the marking process and did the same to carlos.I am Flower, This is Mitch, That is mozart and tosca

Zaphod,Carlos.

Carlos let out a sigh of relief when they marked him as a member.He nodded his head to each meerkat when they were introduced.His nod was more formally to the females then the male though.

Zaphod did nothing when she marked him.A smile on his face when he dipped his head as well to the others,but it was more curt to the subordinents then Flower.He waited silently for one of them to speak."Hello,"was all he said.

Flower

Finally the whiskers might actually stand a chance now to get back on tract. There were three males now and the three would have to decide for themselves which one would try to be her mate.Her and the chosen male would be the only ones allowed to breed as well.She went back to digging.They already had three tunnels that connected but she wanted five total.

Mitch:At the moment he was not focusing on the dominant position and ran off to help finished the fourth tunnel.

Tosca:HelloSHe said and then continued on the fith tunnel.

Mozart took up gaurd duty.

Zaphod,Carlos.

Carlos knew what was about to happen and he rushed to help dig the tunnel.He lose if he fought against Zaphod for the other was stronger and smarter.He would submit to Zaphod and Zaphod knew that as well.

Zaphod padded behind slowly.He help dig the tunnel as well.When he began to dig he used all his strength.The tunnel would be done in a little bit with his stregth and all the extra hands.He looked up seeing that Carlos had submitted as well.So it would be between him and Mitch.This one might be easy he thought.He was more expienced then him and stronger.He waited to see if Mitch would submit ot a fight.

Mitch

Mitch wasn't about to submit to a new commer.After finishing the burrow he stood up looking around.His little hand scratched his stomach and he kept his eye on Zaphod.Yes Mitch was younger but he still was determined

flower could tell the battle would come and she would watch it intently.

Zaphod,Carlos.

Carlos watched silently.He knew a fight was comming and he wouldn't be in it no matter what.He went on scentry.

Zaphod saw that Mitch was challenging him.He start the first move though.Silently he walked over to Flower and began to groom her keeping his eyes on Mitch for rebellion.

Flower

She allowed the male to do so and groomed him back but soon that stopped.

Mitch knew zaphod was showing dominance plus trying to win Flowe rover so he took action immediatly.He squeaked out and then charged him.

Zaphod,Carlos.

Carlos turned and watched silently as the fight began to break out.

Zaphod saw Mitch and immedietly dogged his attack by jumping out of the way.He started to chitter and he snapped out reaching for Mitch tail base.He kept his neck and tail low so Mitch couldn't get either.He leaped if he missed hoping to doge any counter attack.

Mitch

Mitch moved his butt.You know dodging is for cowardsHe had been in plenty fights nad neither of the fighters dodged they just squabbled till one finally gave off.Now he made to attack the others base of the tail which is where most bites from a meerkat go to another family member so thats where he went for.

Flower sat up and watched.

Zaphod

"Don't hate the player hate the game,"he said dodging Mitch attack by rolling,but instead of rolling away he rolled toward him mouth opeing aiming for any part he could of Mitch.If he got something then he held on and shook his head like crazy jerking it.He let out his loudest threat chitter he could trying to scare the younger male.

Mitch

The male had gotten the base of his tail and so he immediatly aimed to bit his base.Dodging is for losers dim wit who raised you? surely not a meerkatHe chattered.This wasn't a fight to the death...

Rage & Rocket Dog

Rage was rather submissive, and kept herself a ways from the rest of the Whiskers. She had been accepted, but she felt out of place. These guys where family. Rage looked at the Whiskers, remembering her family.

Rocket Dog charged up to her family, her eyes glittering. When she heard Mitch say something about dodging, she smiled. True. Meerkats take the blow, get up and strike again. Rocket Dog thought to herself.

Flower

Flower stayed put where she was watching the two.If Zaphod didn't fight right he just might loose his chance even if he wins.She scratched herself momentarily.

Zaphod

Zaphod ignored what Mitch said and concentrated oh the fighting.He got tired of using his own tactics.Letting out a loud chitter he tried to bite down hard on where he had grabed Mitch's tail.His tail kept swinging back and forth like trying to keep it from Mitch's reach.He tried to keep hold of the tail.He let out growls and chitter calls now.

Mitch

He chatter . He wasn't aiming for the tail.He was aiming for the base of the tail.He bit down where ever and started scratching.

Zaphod

Zaphod ignored Mitch when he bit his right forleg.Letting out a loud chitter he tired to get around the scratches and grab the base of the tail.If he got it then he bit down as hard as he could.He tried to scratch Mitch's back as well and hard as he could.He wasn't going to give up just like that.

Mitch

Being less Experianced Mitch couldn't go any further and rolled over in submission.Zaphod would be allowed to make him but it didn't mean anything just yet.

Flower watched.Zaphod to her was the winner.

Zaphod,Carlos

Carlos let out a chirp cheering Zaphod when he won.He had a smile on his face too.

Zaphod marked Mitch showing he was in charge.Then he padded over to Flower and groomed her again.This time he payed asttention to her and not Mitch.

Flower

At first it looked like she was ignoring zaphod which would if she really was which would mean he wasn't the dominant male but soon Flower began to groom him accepting him as her mate.

tosca moved off to tend to mitch who just lie there curled up for a bit.She cleaned him.

Zaphod,Carlos

Zaphod smiled when she groomed him back.He looked at the others.Getting up he walked over to all the meerkats and marked them.He padded back to flower and sat down."Do you want to go forage with the group,"he asked her.He wondered if the foraging would be plenty.

Carlos went over to Tosca and Mitch."Hi,"he said trying to be friendly.

Flower

She listeend and then chattered to her group and tail up strated running in the direction of their feeding grounds.

Tosca and mitch.Hellothey both then ran off after flower followed by mozart

Zaphod.

Zaphod followed beside Flower silently.He was glad that he was the dominat male now.With a smile on his face he followed after Flower and kept her pace.

Carlos smiled at them about to say something else when he heard chattering./Getting up he followed pursuite.He was beside Mozart,but he kept quiet trying to keep paste.

Flower

Every now and then she would stop and stand up to observe the skies. Her new family was her first priority. She would die for all of them.She would then continue till they came upon sand and thats when she began searching for bugs.

Mozart saw flower stop and immediatly started searching for bugs

Tosca and mitch did so as well

Zaphod,Carlos

Carlos climbed a log and went on sentry while the others feasted.He was silent and content for awhile.

Zaphod began looking for bugs too.After he dug for awhile he found a milleapede.He began to eat it looking around making sure none of the others tried to steal it.If they did he wouldn't stand for it unless it was Flower.

Flower

Today was a good bug day so no one needed to steal.Flower got a centipede.

Motzart and mitch both got beatles

Tosca got an ant or two.

Zaphos,Carlos.

Carlos wondered if so one else could go on watch now."Is anyone through eating that can go on sentry,"he called down still watching the skies.

Zaphod looked up when he heard Carlos.He had just finished eating. Getting up he looked at the log.”I will,”he said. Then he climbed up on the log. Then he turned his attention to the skies and ground for danger.

Flower

Flower being the dominant female was the one to determine what the family do. She filled up and about an hour after foraging she headed off for the burrows.

Mitch finished as well and then saw flower and headed after her.
