Blizzard

The she-wolf sauntered over the land, nose to the ground, and tail flowing behind her. Again, like many times before, she thought about her brother and adopted mother being killed by the humans. Why had she run away?

Thoughts clouded her mind as she continued on. She was dreadfully lonely. After a time, the white hued wolf paused long enough to throw out a howl of loneliness.

Snowball

The small dog bounds over to Blizzard, yipping happily. He still had no real clue on how to act around wolves. But he heard Blizzard's howl of loneliness, and decided to come see this wolf. "Hello! I'm Snowball!"

Blizzard

She wasn't expecting a small dog to rush over to her yipping like that. Her fur bristled high and she snarled with irritation. Blizzard made a swift lunge for the small dog and attempted to score a light wound down his shoulder as a warning she didn't want him around.

Snowball

The little dog yelps in alarm and pain as his shoulder is torn. He backs off a moment, but not very far. "What was that for!" he asks as he moves closer to her again, "I meant no harm." he tail waves back and forth in a friendly manner.

Blizzard

Had her brothers and mother not been killed by dogs, she wouldn't be this harsh with this little dog. But her family was killed by dogs and their humans. Without offering any words, Blizzard strikes again, aiming to tear Snowball's throat open to kill him quick...

Snowball

The little dog wasn't prepared for this second attack, and his soft throat was laid open. It didn't take long before he tumbled and collapsed to the ground amid his own blood. Snowball kicked feebishly at the ground, trying to get back up, but it was too late. His struggles were in vain, and they slowed down until he moved no more; he was dead.

Blizzard

Blizzard watched the dog's struggles, with no remorse. It was to her grim satisfaction that he moved no more. No longer would he be a bother to her. But something unsettling caught her nose... the scent of another pack. It was the White River Mountain Range Pack that this little dog belonged too! Still, she didn't know the pack, and assumed it would not miss the death of such an annoying pack member.

Not taking a second look at the lifeless Snowball, Blizzard turns and heads off for her own pack lands.

Turret

Turret padded through the grasses, ignoring the fragrant flowers the area was engulfed in, and the agreeable weather. He slowed down as he approached the site his friend was killed. The only thing left of the little dog was his scattered bones... the scavengers had found him not too long after his death. Turret turned his golden orbs away and waited. All he could think about was revenge for his friend.

Summer Sun

.|.The alpha femme follows Turret, her head lowered in grief. As she reached Snowball's bones, she could hardly contain herself. Who ever, in the Aspen grove pack, killed him would pay dearly. Snowball was the laughter of the pack. He, with his un-wolf-like ways, always had her chuckling time to time. Whoever did this will regret their deathly deed.
She rumbles. She inhales deeply trying to calm herself. Then she begins to investigate. She lowers her nose to the ground, taking in the scents surrounding Snowball's bones.
Aspen Grove alright. Maybe....
she stops over one spot and sniffs intently...
a female....Turret, what do you think?
she inquires and looks up at him, backing away from where the killer might have sat.|.

Turret

He dips his muzzle down and takes in the many scents. He picked up the scent of the killer, and tried to sort that information out from all the rest. "You're right." he replied slowly, still concentrating. "And..." he pauses in thought not all wolf, "...she's a hybrid." Turret's fur raised slightly along his back, but his tail was cricked. He could hardly stand to be here right now. Don't worry Snowball, your death will be avenged.

Summer Sun

.|.The wolfess nods. Good, that narrows it down.... Summer began, but as she noted his stance she decided not to finish. She received the feeling he had no desire to stay here at all. Shall we return to the pack lands or head for Aspen Grove? she asks and rises. Her amber orbs peer around for a moment before they return and rest upon Turret once more.|.

Turret

He was glad to be leaving, "How about Aspen Grove? We can at least check out the pack and see how big, or small, it is."

Summer Sun

.|.The naiad nods. Alright then to Aspen Grove we go. But only to scout out.... she replies and heads off quickly and silently.|.

Turret

Turret nods and follows after his alpha. The large wolf dog was very glad to be getting out of that area.
