CRAK

A furious flapping and cawing arose from a local cedar tree as a great black bird struggeled to free himself from it's greedy branches. His foot had gotten caught in a forked branch and now the bird was frustrated as not being able to get it out. Again he broke out in a fit of squabbling, screeching in frustration at himself. He tried to fly, to lift himself off of the low branch but succeeded in only frustrating himself more. There was surely some way to get his foot free out of the narrow gap between two branches, but the raven just wasn't able to find that 'way'.

The bird squawked angrily as he again attempted to tug his foot out by flying up. As a matter of fact, he was so absorbed in his escape attempt, he didn't even bother to notice if his furious attempts to notice if he was draawing a crowd.

Luna

The white wolf wolf had been wandering around when she heard the raven. She recently had a new litter of pups so she was all smiles. But her smile quickly faded when she saw what was wrong with Crak. She looked up at the bird for a moment before making a decision. "Hang on! I'll get you out of there..." She said, leaping up for one of the branches in hope to break it and free the bird.

CRAK

The bird hardly took notice of the white she-wolf who had appeared just below where he was perched in the evergreen. That is until he heard her voice. The raven sqauwked again, flapping his wings at the wolf's words. Why would a wolf want to help him? No matter the answer, Crak wasn't in much of a position to argue... as long as he got free, that's all he cared about.

"I'm going nowhere. Nowhere. Crak! Crak!"

The bird cawed as the wolf jumped up and the branch flexed downward with her weight and the bird clutched tightly to the branch with his single free foot as the limb bounced up and down. Ruffling his feathers, his black beedy eyes shot down to the wolf as he sqawked once more, an idea conjured in his head.

"Crak! Crak! Do it again. Again."

Luna

Luna took a breath and sprung up again. She tugged on the branch as hard as she could, trying to free the poor creature. "Fly away! Be free!" She howled out.

CRAK

Crak cawed loudly as the wolf gathered herself and then lept for the branch and pulling down with all her might. He was prepared for this and in that brief moment as the limb flexed downward, he arose into a great spurt of flapping, trying to fly upwards. Wriggling and tugging hard at his trapped foot, the raven suddenly rocketed into the branches overhead as his foot came loose. Dissolving into a flurry of feathers and irritable caws, Crak flew away from the tree.

"Never land in a wood again! Nevermore. Nevermore. Crak, Crak."

The bird cried out, flying lower and then landing on a small boulder not far from the tree. He then cocked his head, peering at the she-wolf that had just freed him rather quizzically. He clicked his beak together, seeming completely oblivious to any danger that may be posed to him.

"What's your name?"

Luna

The white wolf dropped back to the ground and looked at the bird. "I'm Luna. You?" She replied politely, giving her tail a wag.

CRAK

"Crak. Crak."

He cawed in return to her, beady eyes blinking. Many times before he had trouble that his name really was Crak. He wouldn't be surprised if she didn't catch on immediately. Ruffling his iridescent feathers he stood idly on one foot.

"Where are you from?"
