Veil

Veil moved as quietly as he could throughout the praire his stomach growled in hunger, Veil lifted his snout into the air and tried to scent any signs of prey. After taking a deep breath and finding nothing he moved on his auds pricked for any sounds of other animals. Veil would settle for any type of food, anything that would cure his hunger pains.

*Deer*

A group of six deer - one stag, three does and two fawns, grazed nearby. The wind was in Veil's favor. The small herd was unaware of the danger that lurked down the hill.

Veil

Veil suddenly picked up the scent of deer. Veil crouched into a hunter's stance and crawled towards the herd. When the deer came into sight his attention immediently went to the smallest fawn. This was Veil's target, he began to creep closer trying to remain hidden even though his dark pelt stood out. When he was close enough he lunged toward the young fawn.

*Deer*

The fawn was caught entirely by surprise. She was thrown to the ground by the wolf, unable to fight back. She bleated like crazy, hoping someone would help her.

The three does watched from a distance. The mother of the victim stepped closer and barked, trying to get the wolf's attention.

The stag, however, fought for his daughter. He lowered his head, antlers pointed at Veil, and charged at the wolf.

Paperdoll

Paperdoll was trotting through the praire, her dark fur standing out but she didn't care. She wasn't hunting or anything so she didn't care if she was seen by anyone. Something caught the she wolf's attention though. It was the bleating of a deer fawn and the wolfess' ears perked. Deciding she wanted to see if she could snatch a quick meal she headed over to the sound.

Paperdoll caught sight of another dark colored wolf attacking the bleating fawn as she approached. She also noticed the stag heading straight for Veil, antlers pointed at a very vital area. Though she didn't know this other wolf she decided to help. The black wolf's trot turned into a full run as she charged at the stag from the side, aiming for either then neck or the shoulder area. She was hoping to catch the animal off guard and knock him over or at least get his attention away. And after this, she better get some of that fawn.
