Neananna
daughter of the wild.
A magnitude of scents eroded from the plains rolling before her. Waves of long reeds danced all around the alabaster built of Neananna. The currents of wind rustled her pelt along with the grass, and she received chills with every gust. Jaded eyes scoured the horizons and peaks of the hills for any sign of life. Of course she saw some, but not before smelling them. Wakes of shadows moved and slipped in and out of those of the long grasses.
Neananna released a soft sigh, warm breath rising in the luke atmosphere. Limbs remained stone still as vibes squirmed their way up ino her body, from the ground up. There seemed to be many creatures here, and she sensed no hostility. Nostrils continue to flare as the winds continue to blow. Auds cupped the sounds flowing towards her, but she had made up her mind. Nothing here could cause her any real harm. With that thought, she stepped downward from he ridge she had posted herself upon.
There were grasshoppers springing over her, singing whatever song they sang. Ground pheasants were silent as she passed their nests, but then began their shrilling calls once she had strode past. This place…it’s so open, she thought. Indeed, these plains were not something the young female was accustomed to. Massive forests and deep girthed thickets. That was what she called home. Now, out in the open, she noticed the sun gave out no rays sparingly, but bellowed down in full waves of warmth. Neananna continued on, not knowing if this was an environment she could get used to.

She moved quickly, her pads seeming to fly across the ground. Her cobalt eyes never seemed to waver, but they did. Oh yes, they certainly did. Faster and faster she ran, unsure of where she was going and why. She had directed the giraffe to the mountains, where she could stay with them but for now, Elemental just wanted to be free. Her movements were so fast, she seemed a blur. A crowd of ravens screamed at her as she made them take flight, but she paid them no heed. Just keep running, Elemental. Just go. So faster and faster she went, when suddenly the scent of another reached her nares. She blinked in confusion, but kept on running. And running. And....AH! Suddenly that someone else was right in front of her. With a yip of surprise, Elemental leapt to the side and sprung away from Neananna, reminding many of a magnet. She couldn't get to close, for she would be repelled. Her eyes roamed over the other, and in a cautious tone she said Hello.... She had yet to get a wolf on their side, indeed it was merely a giraffe, a turtle, and some...Ah...Things. She didn't know what they were, but again it reminded her that she was really hungry. Her stomach cramped. She hadn't eaten in two days now, out of choice I do assure you. A girl has to keep her slim figure, right?
Neananna
The hills did seem to roll on. On and on. It was a sea of emerald blades, wafting in the ethereal breezes. The cicadas joined the grasshoppers in their symphony, and before Neananna knew it, she was on her haunches, swaying herself gently to the music. “At least these creatures are everywhere,”, she whispered. The songs comforted her in a way wher she almost felt homesick. Almost.
The thoughts of home brought a whimper to her throat, and the young female looked on through jaded eyes. Her tail remained motionless, a bit stiff with the oncoming winds. Neananna didn’t mind being alone, so long as she was always within wilderness. She had see many different scaffolds of environment, all interesting and all home to marvelous others. On her journey, she hadn’t found any others like herself, but then she wasn’t exactly looking.
The sun gently glazed her back, and within moments she was feeling quite comfortable. The plains gave her a sense of security in which she could easily slink through the wild sweet-grass unnoticed. Alas, there was a slight interruption. She heard the trampling of the reeds behind her, but she did no move. Timid to danger, she was not a stranger to violence. However, the aura she sensed did not seem threatening. In fact, it was so lively, alas, Neananna had no fear. When the opposing lupe came forward and mumbled her salutations, the alabaster belle cocked he head and sighed quietly. “’Lo. This is…this is a lovely land. Is it yours, miss?”
Elemental
Her smile gave way, and it was such a lovely smile. Her banner waved a bit, and she let out a soft breath of relief. This one was kind, so so kind. No. Its...Its an open land, to any and all. Her shocking blue eyes drifted, and she looked around. She didn't see the same as the other, no indeed. To her it looked grim, for the Haunters were so very near to this land. But, she would not weary this poor wolfess with her words of the Haunters just yet. When she spoke, it was feather light and gentle, so very very gentle. I am Elemental, sister of Vision and a member of the Ancient Guardians. What is your calling? She had an itch, but she left it alone for now. She didn't wish to seem rude in front of this new one, no not rude at all. Indeed, our little actress knew just which cards she had to play.
Neananna
Whatever tension the other had been withholding, it vanished when she had spoken. Neananna assumed that the other had been on edge as well. Who wasn’t these days? Everyone could only watch their own backs when they were alone. No comfort of a pack or a mate, or even a companion. It was the young belle’s choice, however, and she did not feel any sorrow for herself. Her decision to venture forth and away from her homeland had been a vital one.
An open land? Like all the others, she mused. It’s been quite some time since I’ve come upon an owned land. But there’s never peace without price. Neananna wondered how this land had gone unclaimed. Maybe no tyrants had wondered upon it yet, but she couldn’t see how that would be possible. She herself had stumbled onto accidentally, and this…whatever before her had come here, purposely, it seemed, as well. She didn’t need to defend this sea of grass; it wasn’t her own. In that sense, how it came to be was not important, so long as it remained free.
“Open to all, you say? How humble.” Neananna stared at Elemental, questions in her eyes, glinting feverently. She wanted something, it seemed the way of the world now, but Neananna didn’t understand. She decided to ggrant the ess the benefit of the doubt. “Elemental, sister to Vision, I am Neananna, a daughter of the Wild far from here. Sister to the animals there, and mother to them all. A Guardian of the pure, if we’re searching for titles.” She paused, her ears perking to the front. She was not boasting, merely giving a bit of background.
E.lemental.
She blinked at the others words. Good...Hmmm.... A smile formed, and she said in her gentle voice, Are you seeking a pack, Neananna? The pack I am in, they would love members. Her banner waved, her eyes drifting across the plains once more. Yes, how long would it be before someone came to claim this as their own as well? Already the Ashen Domes, the Ruins and now the Croal Mountains were taken. Oh, and Galars Marsh. She bit back a sigh. She had loved the ruins, for they were awe striking and now...Now she would never get to see them. Not until the Haunters fell
Neananna
Neananna continued to take glances behind her, wondering if this place had been such a good idea. Her heart thumped, not with excitement, but with wonder. She was now in another place with no friends, family, pack. She had been living as such for awhile, and she preferred it, only because she was ivincely wild. No matter. This could be the place where she settled, where her journey came to an (abrupt) end.
Ears cupped Elemental’s soft and cautious invitation. Emerald eyes swept up to the opposing bella, and revealed a sheen of remorse. Neananna would stay for awhile, and explore the vastness of this new world, but whether or not she would stay depended on a few factors.
“Elemental, I go nowhere seeking for an abode; usually one finds me, such seems the case. I would be pleased to accompany you home and meet these others, but then I do not guarantee my settlement. If I may ask you to know one thing about me, is that you can expect more predictability from the wind than I.” A small smile pursed her wolfish lips upwards, and her eyes changed to a lovely gleam. Her limbs tensed for a moment as she stood, tail erect above her haunches. She gave a quick shake, and watched Elemental, meaning no offense if she had committed it.

Her smile was there, but for just a brief moment. It lit up her lovely cobalt eyes, and then she said in reply All is well, my friend. I am sure that everyone would be pleased to meet you, and then you can say you have made aquaintences in the valley. Ah, yes she was good at what she did. Not that she was arrogant or anything, but she prided herself in her ability to speak to others. She loved talking to others, loved seeing them with her. Standing by her. Come, Neananna. To the mountains we shall travel, as free as the untamed winds. When we reach my home, you can meet the wonderous creatures that abide there. She turned and was about to head away, but she wished to make sure that her new friend was comign with her, and she didn't leave her here in the dust.
Neananna
A seeping comfort glided over her body and flickered within her. She didn’t seem to have anything to fear here. Well, at least not in the plains. Where they traveled danger may lurk, but as long as she kept her vigilance, she would be fine. Whether or not Elemental had any means of defense, wasn’t a concern of hers. The Wild would take what was Hers. Yes, Neananna would take what was rightfully hers.
Jaded eyes looked over to Elemental and sensed the contentment. Why not abide somewhere for awhile? Rest from the journey and work at her future. “Let us go, then. To the mountains, or beyond.” The young ess expected perils and all the worse that could come with the world, for though she had a positive light, pessimism took lead in her head. What was made to happen will happen, undoubtedly.
