Concho
Concho galloped through the prairie, leaving impressions in the grass behind him. He snorted, tossing his head playfully. Oh, what a time! His great strength was apparent, as was his beautiful coloration. He waved his tail around, swatting the pesky flies. He then lowered his large head and began feasting on the green grass.

Painted
Jet black painted gypsy vanner mare came cantering neatly into the prairie. She was happy, almost too happy as she flaunted her essence around. She had almost died, almost froze to death in a frozen lake. If it had not been for a bear to save her, she would have drowned. She had been found by humans and had been resting there for the time being until her health rose back up.
Now she was to continue her search for her daughter, Prisoner. Oblivious to the fact that her daughter was now in the evil group, The Shadow Haunters, that had attacked her home with the Almuit Rune Herd. She would not go back until her daughter was found and her hopes in seeing her again were slowly withering away.
Soon she spotted another being of her kind. Although he was bay, but she couldn't judge by colors. It wasn't horse-like.
With a friendly nicker in the air she began to gallop toward him. Slowing cautiously with ears pricked forward in alert and caution. "Well hello there, I'm painted. Who are you?" She snorted in and out, blowing a huge sigh through her nostrils. Before backing up and beginning a small walk around the male.
Concho
The stallion raised his head to see the mare, and his ears pricked. "Why, hello, Miss Painted." He said in a friendly way, "I am Concho. What brings you to this lovely place?" He walked closer to her, mane and tail blowing in the wind.
Painted
Painted's dainty head lifted and flicked about playfully yet painfully at once. "Greetings dear Concho, and the lovely place cannot tame the pain that I feel." She said, her eyes suddently growing dark as if her soul had been wounded.
"My daughter ran away she was very young... Oh she was so young I don't even know if she is alive. One of those she traveled with was killed and brought back to our lands. I doubt she lives but something inside me tells me to go." Her thorax did rise, a deep hiss within them as the air became trapped. Then it was released: long, low, and painful. "Her name is Prisoner. I beauty she was, she looked much like her father and I would like to see her again. But my doubts are over powering, and I fear that I have failed. Failed to care for my first born... Failed.."
Her happy face soon drooped down and her blue colored eyes looked to the ground in terrible agony. Wincing now and again as if a bee was stinging her tinder little thigh. Even the plants seemed to mock her as year after year they grew new life and yet she was still banished, restricted to see her daughter once again.
Gentle pained orbs looked up at the fellow stallion and she shook her pate with grace. "I am sorry to be emotional, but when a heart cries, the whole body will tremble, as my soul does tremble." Lyrics were soft, ever so soft as she whispered them out on the whim. And now she did wonder: Will this ever end?
Concho
Concho had never been good at speaking to others. Or so he thought. "Do not say that you have failed..." He said, looking for the right words. "There is always hope of finding your daughter. If it might help, I will search with you." He thought back to a time when he was a colt. "My mother once told me that one should not give up just because the skies turn gray. One should keep going...Searching for what we want."
He shifted his weight, still wishing he knew the right words to say. "It is not a sin to cry, so do not be ashamed to do so. We will find your daughter...We will find Prisoner." He stepped closer to her and spoke softly. "As I said before, we must not give up." This whole speech of his was more of a way of saying, 'Do you want me to help you?' He had a way of making things more complicated than they need to be.
