Jersey, Bree, Austin
Three Border collies, two brutes and one fae, easily trotted into the land. They plowed through the grass and entered a small plot, where the colorful weeds actually didn't grow so tall. It may be a wild place for wolves to roam and frolic, as well as all those other wild things, but they decided that they would hang out around here for a while. Although the scent of wild canines was strong and faint in different sections around here, each was quite wary, though some, not so much.
While Jersey was anxiously sniffing around him, nares working wildly at the brush and shrubs, he soon took an idle seat next to a large rock. The place seemed safe. Safe enough at the moment, anyway. At any given time, something could show up and happen.
"Stay near," he began, auds back a bit, "it's easy to get lost in this... Grass." And he meant it. Couldn't risk the group being broken up. Their other Border companions were just a howl away, though, so Jersey felt reasonably safe, but he resented dragging friends into trouble either way.
Bree was the most active one. Probably one of the most active of them all. Her lithe limbs carried her chocolate and white form all over the place, as she took in all the new scents, and snorted at ones she disliked. Her banner waved behind her eagerly, quite happy to be out here. "We're lucky to find such a place," she stated, wriggling her nose a bit as a long strip of grass tickled her nares, "and it's fun, too. Excellent to run." she finished, turning to walk back around and examine the open area surrounded by long weeds and plants. The snow wasn't bothering her at all at the moment.
Austin was only interested in catching some sleep. It was a lazy day for him now, with the dull sunlight overhead and the chilly winds that froze his limbs and chilled his bones. "I hate this stuff..." he mumbled lightly to himself, with a sigh, as he sat down and then curled up. His banner was circled around over his paws and muzzle, keeping his body warm as best as it could. "Now leave me alone to--" he started saying, but was then interrupted by a wide yawn, "nap."
...Natalya...
She had left Hestier and Shivree to scout out further for some food. The once Enola, turned Natalya, came forth and watched the three borders with avid intrest for but a moment before she came forth. Her steel gray frame was a dark contrast upon the snow and grass, and a haunting smile crossed her pretty maw. Hello...And how are you three on this lovely morning? The wolfess looked like everything a wolf should be. Sleek, powerful, beautiful. Hauntingly gorgeous. Bright yellow eyes were on them all, from the napping Austin to the bouncing Bree. Her smile grew a tad more haunting, a touch more soft. I am Natalya, guardian of Hestier, daughter of the Storm. What do they call you three? Their movements, they were so beautiful. Why couldn't she move like that? Biting back a sigh, she went back to closely following Bree's movements. So fluid, so graceful. So beautiful.
Jersey, Bree, Austin
Jersey was, as usual, the very first to take notice of the wolf. He was unusually alert today, especially being in such wilderness. So, they had been here before, but only once, and it wasn't for a very long time at all. None really knew what the lands held in store, particularly for a bunch of Borders.
Just as he averted his sharp gaze to the unknown fae, he became quite uppity but cautious. A wolf. They couldn't be trusted, at least in Jersey's eyes.
"Who are you?" he suddenly blurted out, auds pricking just a moment before flickering backwards. He was in no mood for unexpected wolvens showing up. Who knew what half of them ever planned.
Unlike her counterpart Jersey, Bree was much more open and friendly most of the time. Her motions soon seized once the wolf appeared, and her auds pricked, curious of this newcomer.
Thinking the fae had come up out of nowhere, she stepped fourth and gave a high bark. "Hello," she seemed to yip out, "I'm Bree, and this is Jersey and Austin," she stated, nodding toward each of her pals, though her head bobbed the entire time. She took a seat on her sleek haunches, her frame quite fit and flexible as she quickly bent her head around to her back to bite at an itch.
Austin, on the other hand, was still asleep. He hated the snow, especially coming from a place that didn't get too much of it. Summer and sunshine was for him. Intensity, he loved it.
All he gave was a light snort as he dreamed and dreamed, about who knows what.
Natalya
She smiled at them, and haunting laughter escaped her. I believe I answered that question, but I shall speak my name again. I am Natalya, Guardian of Hestier, and daughter of the Storm. It is a pleasure to meet you three. As Bree sits, she hid her pout. She loved watched them move, they were so agile and free. Tilting her small dial to the side, she said softly to them What are three collies such as yourselves doing in the Prarie? It was water upon rocks to hear her speak, so smooth and gentle were her words. Her eyes were so cool yet so warm and beckoning. She sat down herself, curling her tail around her legs. She turned her head and barked, calling to both Hestier and Shiveree. Food could wait just awhile longer. Well....Hopefully anyways. She wanted to talk to these fascinatingly beautiful dogs.
Jersey, Bree, Austin
Jersey, being a rather cautious canine, was slowly beginning to get used to the wolven fae. He had never really taken any liking to a wolf before, having lived against them all his life. He knew what they did: kill and harm. Livestock mostly, but humans and other dogs as well. This made him wary, still, and his muscles a bit tense. He simply sat there, though, watching Bree and Natalya with an intense, hardening gaze. His dark cinnamon eyes studdied the fae for any signs. Suspicion coursed through him a bit at her strange words. Just the kind who seemed to be... Well, he didn't know a word to describe it. Unpredictable, in his mind.
Bree was lifting and dropping her fore paws happily, listening to the wolf with open ears and sparked eyes. She was quite intrigued by this creature, having never met many wolves, let alone seen many. You would be able to hear her feelings transmitted through her voice, if you'de have trained hearing.
"Oh well, hi!" she piped up again, but soon began to ease her sudden hyperness. Drawing in a deep breath, she seemed to slightly inch along on her bottom, hind legs still managing to move a bit. "We're here exploring. Why're you here?" she then asked, auds twitching. She was busy not only listening to the fae's voice, but also watching her posture. This was quite heart-throbbing.
Austin had finally woken from his private dreamland. Yawning gingerly as his eyes easily fluttered open, he lifted his dial. He was still a bit tired and out of focus, but that soon changed as he suddenly landed eyes on the wolf. At that point, it felt as though he had practically swallowed his tongue. None of them had ever had any great moments with wild canines, so they were reluctant, aside from the otherwise uncaring Bree.
He kept his mouth shut, watching with clearly opened eyes. He felt as though he had missed something, and was slightly uncomfortable in the situation.
Natalya
The same haunting smile in place, she replied to the excited Bree I am here with some....Friends. Her gaze turned backwards for a moment, eyes seeking Hestier and Shiveree, but then she shrugged. They will join me soon, I am sure. She could hear the excitement in Brees voice, and had to contain her own excitement. She'd never really had any conversation with dogs, just wolves. The Shadow Lurkers were her extent of dogs. Her tail twitched a bit, not quite a wag but it wanted to! Its the thought that counts right?
As Austin woke up, she grinned at him. Rise and shine, sleeping beauty. This smile wasn't so haunting, more fun filled, but just as quickly as it was seen it disappeared. She was Natalya, a creature of lore. Creatures of lore do not grin, they do not smile. They do not feel joy or fascination. It was like watching a metamorphis. She went from hauntingly beautiful, to joyful and happy like Bree, back to the same haunting beauty that only true wolves possessed. Those eyes, oh those eyes. They were so carefully watching the three. Seeing Austin and Jersey appear tense, she murmered to them If I were to attack you, you could easily kill me. Three of you, one of me. Hestier wasn't here yet, so they had nothing to worry about. Yet.
Jersey, Bree, Austin
Jersey gave a light sigh, eyes closing for a brief moment before opening back up to look at Bree. He was beginning to feel better around the wolf now, thankfully, not only for him. He then gave his brindled pelt a quick shake, sending a few hairs flying from his pelt. He was so intent on the wolfess, that he barely even noticed the snow anymore. It meant nothing to him, anyway. Though it was great to play in, it got tiring quickly. Humans taught him that.
"Oh, but we don't attack for no reason." he stated in reply to Natalya's words, narrowing his eyes a bit. He had beaten Bree to words that time. Lucky him. Then he began to ease back into a casual, normal sitting posture. It didn't seem very bad now.
"What friends do you speak about?" Bree suddenly asked, auds pricking again. Her bones trembled with energy, or was that just a chill? Giving her head a brisk shake to catch some of the winter air, she then gave Natalya a new, fresher look. A little fresh air never hurt against your face. "However soon soon is." she then stated, seemingly not thinking about her words. She then gave her head a tilt, wondering just who these others were. Would they be canines? Wild, tame; maybe even a horse? This thought gave Bree a light chuckle.
Austin drew in a deep breath of the cool breezes, shivering a bit from the cold. Once again, he began to disliked the winter weather.
He only gave a gruff grunt to the wolf's words, not seeing any real reason for him to speak. Sleeping beauty? Was he really that "girly?" Nah, he couldn't be. "Say what?" he then spoke, his voice full of youth. He wasn't very sure of such a creature that suddenly referred to him as "sleeping beauty". That was a wierd moment.
Natalya
And you think I do? She replied to Jersey. Her words were edged in ice, as if those words had cut her deep down. Then her eyes flickered to Bree, and a soft smile crossed her face once more. The female of silver shifted, and the sun played across her shimmering coat making it seem alive. My friends are Hestier, and Shiveree. They were right behind me, but I guess when you move quickly, others lag behind. Next was Austin. In the same soft voice that she had spoken to Bree, she said to him You heard me. What kind of dog lays out in the middle of the open and sleeps? Its not safe. Something in her eyes changed, and a dangerous almost hungry look came into her eyes. Someone might think your dinner. She wasn't going to attack them, any of them, but she wanted to get her point across to Austin and the others. Not all the wolves in the valley were as kind as she.
Jersey, Bree, Austin
Jersey gave a simple snort, and then ruffled up his brindled pelt. What that sopposed to hinder him? His eyes suddenly took on a harder look, and his muscles tensed just a bit. "Did I say that?" he then asked, auds flickering. He didn't enjoy it much when others took him for granted. His voice held no hint of anger nor aggression. Just a simple question, almost of authority.
Bree snorted as well, but hers was for a whole different reason. She had been ignoring Jersey, shutting him out of her mind just about. Instead, she was focused on the wolf and what she had said to Austin. "No one would want to eat a pile of skin and bones," she stated with a gleam in her eye, head turned to look at Austin. Then she looked back to Natalya. "He's touchy went he wakes. Especially during the cold." she stated, as if the thought of becoming someone's dinner meant nothing to her. She couldn't be killed with so many of her friends running around. Gallavanting.
"Well I'm not alone." he simply stated, before turning around with a Spring shiver. He then went to curl up again, sighing in a fairly content manner before just lying there with his eyes open. He wasn't in such a great mood.
Hestier
The wind gave a sharp blow and twisted around his pelt as he neared the group. He gave a growl to it but nothing more as he took his stand next to Natalya. Dust brown orbs looked at her with the 'opps' expression. He didn't mean to wonder off, though now-a-days he was never really mentally there and often times went wondering into places he shouldn't. Like the Lurkers home, they wanted him dead above all else.
Lightly colored eyes turned to the group of three collies. A large white head tilting slightly at the sight of their starven selves. He opened his mouth to say something but quickly swallowed what would have been a rude tongue. Giving an uneasy shift then sitting down and letting his white whip curl up and over his back.
This was annoying, this wasn't food, it was a bunch of starving dogs who couldn't offer more than a meal to one of them. Or even... no... He gave a look to Natalya, "You want to take them on a hunt with us, or would you like to eat them" The last part was signal with a humorous smile and a wag of his tail. Completely ignoring the fact if the dogs could read his expression or not. Unlike them he was filled out and very strong, and with the new darkness waking inside of him, it would be more hard to get him to submit.
Oh yes, the devil is waking.
Natalya
Her eyes found Hestiers, and immediatly something grew dark their, and a look of warning crossed her features. Hestier, these are my friends. Bree, Jersey, and Austin. Maybe they would like to come hunting with us. She ignored everything that was said before Hestier arrived, then turned her eyes back to Jersey and the others. She locked eyes with the 'lead' male, and in their was a warning for him as well. Do nothing to upset him. If he attacks, I can do nothing to protect you. And it was true. She was as helpless as they, for she could not kill the one she so loved. She would not help him, but she would not fight him either. Pain, it wracked her entire body until she was numb. What had she become? Was she just as bad as he? The pain flickered in her eyes, but just as quickly she covered it up. Tears wouldn't help her now. The proud Natalya, so strong. The little Enola, so pitiful. Combined, they were a strong willed, gentle sweet heart. What was she to become?
Jersey, Bree, Austin
Jersey was a bit taken aback at the sudden sight of another wolf, and he snorted. What was this? He sopposed this would have happened; a bunch of wild canines gathering around them. They had no where else that they wanted to go to, and the humans weren't exactly the kind that they really could see themselves with. Now all they could do was speak with wolves. How fulfilling.
"Hunting?" he then repeated, hearing the fae's words. And who will be the hunters and the hunted? he suddenly asked himself, keeping silent then after his thought. So untrusting.
Bree was a bit shocked at the sight of another wolf coming up. This one seemed bigger, "thicker," in Bree's mind, for lack of a better term. She then gave her head a brisk shake, wondering what this whole thing about hunting was. "Hunting? And..." she began, thinking. She, as had all the others, lived off of the human dog food all their lives. You simply couldn't forget the table scraps, either, but they usually never got those anyway.
Austin, once again, had drifted off to sleep. He was completely tired, his body seeming to even shut down as he drifted off into a peaceful darkness. Then dreamland.

The wolfess quickly came up upon the group, her unique blue-green eyes flashing at each face. Then she noticed something-- three of these five faces weren't very familier. Taking a closer look, she observed that the three were dogs. Dogs. Personal helpers of mankind.
She kept her maw shut, though, glancing briefly to her wolven companions, wondering what was going on. Is this some kind of a gag? she suddenly thought to herself, taking a careful seat back on her sleek haunches. She would watch and wait.
Hestier
My, my how his eyes did twitch as she invited the little doggies on a hunt. This was surely amusing far more than any. A group of Pampered coming along on a such a bloody mission as to hunt and kill such an innocent little animal. "A hunt, you want them to come hunting with us? Do they even know what the word 'hunt' means" He gave them a devilish grin though dismissed the untasteful look with a wag of his tail and a ginger smiler. "Sure, they can hunt with us. They can even get first dibs on the bloody raw flesh of that poor little creature we slaughter. Let us bathe in the blood tonight." He looked, a flame alight in his eyes as they quivered within, locking each of them in a cage of stare.
He rose, well built hind end shifting around a bit with a thick tail sweeping away the dust that had collected around on his hind fur. As he had, Shiveree had arrived. "Ah, here comes our sixth hunting member. Madmousels, should we start our hunt?" He looked from under his brow, staring right into Jersey's eyes.
Oh what a brat you have become dear Crucified.
Natalya
Her eyes flamed for a moment on Hestiers, and she said in a bone chilling voice Knock it off. Her eyes turned to the collies, and she said in a kinder, gentler tone to them, Have you ever hunted before? You won't survive out here if you don't hunt. But her body language wasn't telling the same lie as her voice. Her steel coat was bristled, her entire body tense. How dare he insult her friends. So what if they were collies, that didn't mean anything. They were her friends, thats all that mattered. Hestiers words had made even her ill, and she had grown up on meat alone.
Io
Kelp green wings blurred under her as she made her way back into lands to land on a grass stalk next to Crucified. Her action was met with a sweep of the white brutes tail, causing her to jump up and move to his shoulders. "So, where have you been... Io?" The little bird panted for a moment and growled under ruffled feathers. "You're stupid sister has caughten a deer herd and placed them behind a fence like livestock." She growled.
Hestier grew dark. "She is not my sister, I have no sisters, no brothers, I am born of no one.. understand. Present her as Risen. For I do not even remember her face." Io sighed and nodded her head. "Yes Cru.... Hestier."
Katki
Katki followed the cousin starling to the prairie, then landed on a tree branch. She looked down at Io and her friends, cocking her head. "Who were those guys back there?" She asked. "Why did they want to kill you?"
