Fiona
With two allies obtained, it was time for the third. This one, however, would be more difficult to find, she feared. Being so small in a place so vast as the prairie, she was like a needle in a haystack.
Scampering through the tall, dormant grasses, Fiona finally found a hawthorn tree and carefully climbed the largest of the thorny branches. From the vantage point, she narrowed her eyes and scanned the area around, hoping to see the form of a horse. If not, she would wonder from tree to rock until she found the horse, or until the night was nearly over.
Al Sheratan
And here she was, the great Al Sheratan. She was hard to find, being tiny in comparison to most horses and being white against the white snow wasn't exactly the most helpful but every now and again a whinny was released from her maw, as she checked to be certain that no horse was around.
Fiona
The voice of the equine was quickly picked up on the sharly little ears of Fiona. Taking to a nearby hill, she came up on her hind, poised like a two-legger for a moment as she tried to find the source of the noise. And that's when she saw her, the small horse.
Moving quickly, her black and molted pelt was quite the contrast to the white winterland, but she gave a loud 'mew' to catch the equine's attention anyway. "Excuse me, but are you Sheratan?" Fiona asked, her ears perked and tail twitching ever so faintly behind her. No anxiety was felt in the presence of this mare, although she could easily trample the cat.
Al Sheratan
She spooked at the unknown voice, and her black eyes sought to the ground where they landed upon the cat. Blinking, she smiled at the feline and lowered her dial. "Aye, that I am. What is it that you need, my dear?" Her voice was gentle and soft, as was her nature. Her smile was genuine and true, for she knew nothing else. Here laid a good friend, one that many would be fond to have.
Fiona
Where she had been hostile and defensive with the others, Fiona was completely relaxed and comfortable in the presence of this creature, and so her voice carried a purring note to it. "A wolf, by the name of Ying, is in trouble. He said that you would help him." The dark tabby paused, taking a moment to look around for danger before continuing, "Please follow me if you are willing to help; we must be quick and get organized before sun-up." Knowing their was little time left, as it had taken almost all night to traverse the Valley, she headed for the Lab once again.
