Jais
As usual, Tri-Tundra continued to linger heavy in his mind. However, he was beginning to cope more with her absence, and come to terms with the inevitable. It was time for him to move on and start his life over again. Although, deep in his heart, he still held hope for his true-love.
Around him, Jais could see the brilliant shades of autumn beginning to paint the land in striking hues of red, yellow, and orange. The grasses were fading into pale browns and grays, with their fluffs and tassles waving high on their stalks. It was truely a breath-taking scene. Pausing amongst some tall fescue grass on a rise, Jais howled his open heart to the world, and hoped that someone- hopefully a potential mate- might hear his calling.
Traitor
You're sick of feeling numb
You're not the only one
I'll take you by the hand
And I'll show you a world that you can understand
This life is filled with hurt
When happiness doesn't work
Trust me and take my hand
When the lights go out you will understand
Bright yellow gaze followed him before a soft smile pressed across my maw. I step forth, white beauty with a black cross shown proudly to the world slashed across my heart. At his howl my smile grows sad and I sit some distance away before I raise my head and let out a sweet melody of my own, one that proves my innocence and the agony that I bear. As my song ends I lower my head and my bright gaze takes to his own. "You miss her, don't you?" I had never had a true love, only those that used me. Including my family. Unlike him, I knew nothing of love only tradgedy that had a way with clinging to my life and pulling me down. But I remained strong. I had been unable to stop Torture and Torment from killing Laporta but had I not saved the others? One death was better the all of them gone. My smile is still soft and sad but my eyes are warm and kind. The only sister of the three, the kind hearted one.
THIS IS MY CROSS TO BEAR
Jais
He looked to Traitor, and before he hardly thought, a soft smile was given. Then the wolf glanced downward at her question and nodded slowly, "More than I can bare to stand. But, that is in the past." Jais added quickly, not wanting to ruin anything with his woes for the long-gone Tri-Tundra. Besides, he took duel note of the sadness that she carried in her own smile. "It seems that you have sorrows of your own, Traitor."
