Flurry

She ran in and searched for prey but she waited for Spark.

Spark

The spaniel bounded after Flurry. He was glad to be out of the house again, and would only go if Flurry or Starlit was with him. He sticks his blunt nose in the snow, then brings it up again with his tail waving ecstatically. "I smell... lemmings!" He barks finally. "Or mice...."

Flurry and Prey

Flurry smiled. "I smell them too! Oh wait I think I smell some rabbits!" She said in a whisper. "What do you want to hunt?"

They were right for there were some lemmings but they weren't to close. There were mice in various places and there were 6 winter rabbits eating the tall grass that didn't get buried.

Spark

Spark tilted his muzzle up, "Yeah, I can smell them too! Rabbits will be more fun to hunt, I think." The spaniel scanned the snowy scene with his eyes, but his eyes weren't the best of his senses. After picking up the trail of a rabbit, he began to follow it until he might spot the creature with his eyes.

Flurry

She did the same and she saw about 5 rabbits a short distance from each other. She looked to Spark and nodded and crept around the other side. When Spark started running she would as well.

Spark

The short-legged spaniel was well hidden in the grass, even if most of it was dead and bent by the cold and snow. His stumpy tail wasn't wagging now as he stalked towards the rabbits as silently as he could. When he was close enough, Spark suddenly rushed forward, trying to overtake the closest rabbit.

Flurry, Prey

Flurry lunges at a rabbit the same time as Spark but misses but then she sees one with and injured back leg and leaps atop it and it frantically kicks to get away. Flurry reaches for its neck as it kicks at her with its last bit of energy.

All the rest of the rabbits flee except the one Spark manages to grab its right back leg. It kicks wildly at him though with its left back leg.

Spark

Spark closes his eyes tightly as the rabbit kicks at him. His silky fur wasn't too good for holding back the rabbit's claws, although the claws wouldn't be really sharp. Not about to let go, he shakes the rabbit fiercely, trying to break the leg so that he could let go and then get a hold on its neck.

Flurry and Prey

Flurry grabs the rabbits neck after getting a painful kick to the maw and she bites down hard killing it instantly.

Soon the leg on Spark's rabbit breaks and it struggles so hard that its head abruptly hits the ground. Its vision is blurry and it stops moving but it shakes its head regaining vision and it begins to struggle again though with less effort and energy. Its vision hadn't come to yet.

Spark

Spark promptly let go of the rabbit, but sprung at it and tried to seize it by the back of the neck so he could kill it.

Flurry and Prey

Flurry smiles and watches holding her rabbit.

The rabbit with Sparks hadn't realized he let go right away and by the time it did it was to late for Spark was able to get its neck and make the finally blow. After not to long the rabbit falls limp in Spark's jaws.

Spark

Spark pranced over to Flurry while holding the rabbit firmly between his blunt jaws. "Look what I caught!" he spoke in a muffled voice, still holding the rabbit.

Flurry

She smiles. "Nice." She says. "Ok lets go back to the barn." She says as she picks up the rabbit that she caught and waits for Spark. She was glad he had caught his rabbit as well.

Spark

Spark wagged his stumpy tail and nodded to Flurry. He begins to spring off to the Barn with his prize, but hesitates and glances back at Flurry. He didn't want to admit it, but he was a bit fearful of going back there if all those wolves were still there.

Flurry

She nodded and padded back with Spark.
