Ageni

Ageni dashed from the pack territory with crushed hopes. Her sister was well now and her brothers kind heart turned to one of a fighters. Everything other then that was moving on and so should she. She needed a friend of her own a side to choise as she wandered in confusion. Her creamy coat's end's swayed in the gentle breath of wind. She was lovely female now, and she craved more. She came here as she always does searching for anyone or anything. She stood motionless in the tall golden grass, her tail swaying from side to side from behind her. Nothing, pure nothing.

Ronen & Xxalt

Two large cats stalked through the rolling grasses, moving slow and quiet as they went. Ronen was the smaller of the bunch, a snow leopard with striking rosettes adorning his pale white-gray coat. Beside him was his larger cousin, Xxalt. A son of his aunt Tolacca. He was a half breed that took the build and size of his cougar father, and only the beautiful rosettes of his snow leopard mother.

"You certainly take after your grandmother, Ronen." Xxalt was saying, now and then lifting his head to get a better view through the tall vegetation.

"And you after your father." Ronen replied with a snort, though there wasn't any hostility or condecending tones in his words. "Food is food, I say."

"That eagle... he is a unique one, though. You ought to stick with herbivors. Or humans." The hybrid returned thoughtfully, before he stopped suddenly. "Smell that?"

"Yeah, smells like wolf. Not far away, either." Ronen varified, raising up on his powerful hind limbs to scan the surroundings. Sure enough, he spotted the movements of a she-wolf moving not far away. His stomach growled.

"Hey, now..." Xxalt edged, sensing what his cousin's thoughts were. "Leave a predator alone..." But Ronen would have none of it. He began to stalk after Ageni, trying to keep quite and downwind of her.

With a sigh, Xxalt followed after. He was against eating, let alone killing, other predators. Ronen was quite the opposite, and would go for a wolf just as often as he did the mountain goats.

Ageni

She suddenly cuaght the scent of another creature lurking, yet she saw or heard nothing at all. Her ears twitched in alert, but still nothing. She felt a shiver run down her spine, surely she was not still alone. A low growl emitted through her narrow jaws shut tightly to try and scare them off if it was just some curious little creature.

Ronen & Xxalt

Ronen drew closer, his eyes intent and unblinking as his body went into crouch mode. He eased his body forward through careful, well-placed steps, trying to remain utterly soundless in his advance. The growl was ignored for the most part, aside from the little smirk it drew on the leopard's muzzle.

Xxalt trailed his cousin, not liking this aspect of Ronen. The hybrid realized he must get this from his father; Namir lived with wolves all his life, and had introduced him to the lupines. Although he didn't want to upset Ronen... he couldn't let this killing take place. "Ronen... Wait!" He called out, just as the other lunged forward.

Ronen sailed over the grasses, his powerful hind limbs more adept at jumping rather than running. Deadly claws were unsheathed as they spread to embrace Ageni in a fatal squeeze. Fangs bared....

Xxalt sprung without much thought, sending his own paws out, but with the claws safely sheathed. With a strong stroke of his limbs, he struck Ronen's hindquarter's and spun the smaller cat off balance. Startled by this, Ronen gave a wild shriek as he hit the ground, paws flailing to strike the wolf and the one who knocked him off balance...

Ageni

Ageni whipped her body around as the small beautiful female stood her ground. She bared her ivory canines out from her narrow jaws sending out a vicious snarl. Her coat grew brisk until another leopard jumped on the one charging for her. Ageni was not one to back down, just like Akecheta before he left them. her ears perked calmly watching this little tussle in confusion. Where they going to eat her or not. She knew she was easy prey although she would fight back leaving marks surely, but nothing more.

Ronen & Xxalt

Xxalt got a good gouge across his lower jaw, and hissed sharply in reply to it. Arching his back, he backed off, "Ronen, I can't allow this..."

The snow leopard picked himself up in a hurry, lashing his tail in agitation, "I can't believe you, Xxalt! Letting your morals get in the way of my meal?" His tone was low and sinister, "Run back to your father, you incompetent hunter! I will do as I please." He turned back to Ageni, claws flexing into the ground. "You see," He began, takling half to himself and half to Xxalt, "When any creature is too stupid to run from me... they deserve to end up in my belly!" Ronen flashed a front paw out, trying to strike the wolfess and send her to the ground.

Xxalt bristled with anger, "Ronen, I don't want to fight with you, but I will stand up for what I believe in!" He paused as Ronen attacked the wolf, then lunged forward in his own assault and tackled his cousin to the ground. His eyes flashed to Ageni, "Run!"

Ageni

Ageni lowered her small slender body ducking from the blow. It clearly missed. "It'll take alot more then that kitten," she said in a voice so soft and tender. "I will not run, I stand my ground and if I die so what. I've taken on more then a snow leopard after meeting Blackie's royal pet," she chuckled with a glare of her striking pale amber eyes.

Ronen & Xxalt

Ronen twisted around and thrust his hind limbs out, hitting Xxalt square in the stomach. The larger cat was thrown back with a yowl, the air knocked out of his lungs. Grimacing at the nasuating pain, the hybrid looked down and was surprised to see lines of crimson stain his pale undercoat. He was so taken aback by this blatent act of agression that he could find no words to say at first. Finally, Xxalt stood up and glared at his cousin, "You've drawn first blood, Ronen. Remember that, cousin." Whipping his tail around, the hybrid sprinted away.

Ronen stood as well, half regretting what he had done, but pleased none the less that he had won the arguement. His silver-speckled orbs fell on Ageni in a sinister way, "You had your chance for life, now time's up." The powerful cat crouched, muscles coiled as he eyed his prey. Then he sprung with deadly precision, front paws sprung wide to hopefully catch the wolfess if she tried to dart one way or the other...

Ageni

"If you kill me you'll be hunted down," Ageni warned. Ageni knew at lest three packs and several large cats that were on her side and the side of her family and friends. That was without a doubt, but this time she did not dodge the attack and was hit dead on. She yelped and cried feeling claws dig into her flesh. She twitched to protect her self and she was not killed, but injured greatly.

Ronen

"Oh, will I?" Ronen hissed back, digging his claws in deeper and letting his curved fangs hover in front of Ageni's face, "I've got quite the extended family myself." But as he said it, Ronen realized that he may not have their support any longer. Attacking his cousin meant that Xxalt, Adulthi, and Namalt would probably not help him any longer. Tolacca was to frail to be much help, and Namir would certainly side with his own childeren. And Sivinith... she wouldn't help; she had new cubs to look after, anyway. Oh well, Ageni didn't need to know this.

"I am afriad of no wolf, flea-bag." The snow leopard applied more pressure, wanting to put the wolf in more pain, "You have any last words?" He grinned wickedly, loving to toy with his prey.

Dusty

He had yet to officially meet the pack, but at last he knew something of their scents and names, thanks to Jessie. A howl had alerted him of Ageni's trouble, and he decided now was the time to get... accquainted... with the others.

The black wolf with his characteristic dusty-gray eyes, sped through the prairie, following scent and sound to locate Ageni. Not stopping to ask questions, he exploded through the grasses, leaping high and aiming to slam into Ronen's hindquarters and throw him off balance. Dusty tried to snag a bite on the cat's flank as well, to further provoke him and draw his attention off the wounded wolfess.

Damia and Thalicka

The duo of hybrids had just become accquainted with the priarie and had been wandering around their new settlement for a small while.
Damia was out, ahead of her brother, but of course within eyesight. He was very protective of his younger sister and he also tended to get aggressive. He was the kind of hybrid you would expect to be high ranking in a pack, but seeing as the pair had only just left their fathers pack they had not yet had a chance to settle and think about the future.
Damia was the first to spot trouble, her hightened sense of smell caught onto the scent of blood. Only a look was flashed to Thalicka and her brother knew something was up. He came jogging towards her and peered in the direction she was facing.
It seemed that there were two cats attacking a wolf, and another had gone to help. The two exchanged glances before taking off. Keeping low and out of sight they silently glided through the grasses towards the cat and the wolves.

Being a crossbreed of 3 types they did look rather odd. They both had different portions of Stafforshire Bull Terrier, Labrador Retriever and Wolf. Without warning Thalicka launched himself at the cat going for the back of the neck. Damia charged for the cats back leg, hoping to catch it in her jaws and snap it.

Ageni

Ageni thrashed about pulling her head free from the felines claws. "Yes, I hope someone eats you," she barked bitterly feeling the claws dig deeper into her flesh. She looked over her shoulder to see Jesse's mate come along with two hybrids. Yet she was surprised the others had not come. She knew humans had Nightcrawler and they were desprite to save him.

Ronen

He laughed aloud at first, "Maybe the worms when I die of old age, but that won't be for..." A raging yowl escaped his blunt muzzle before he could finish his cyniccal statement. Something had slammed into his back side and ripped pain through his flank. Dusty. Leaving Ageni for the moment, he whipped around with the agility his species was afforded, and took a powerful swipe at the offending wolf. Two more appeared, and Ronen soon found new sources of pain; one in his hind limb, and one at the back of his neck. Yowling madly, he sprung and kicked out, freeing his hind limb before it was broken, but not before the flesh was sliced to the bone. He struck out with four paws and bit savagely with his long fangs, trying to discourage the attackers. "Stupid wolves!"

Ageni

Ageni laid on the ground as she was released. She was too injured to walk no and blood covered mostly her shoulders and some on her face. She drew in a deep breath pulling her paws beneath her to force herself to escape and find Maka. Maka was an old friend, a cougar. She was pretty sure she was back in the other lands where Kali had come from, but perhaps she was still around. Ageni manged to stand, but fell to the ground with a yelp.

Damia and Thalicka

Damia and Thalicka met their marks but Damias grasp slipped off the cats leg but first it did damage.

However Thalicka still had hold of the back of the cats neck. He wasnt sure if he should try to break it or not, afterall he didnt know the full situation. So he decided to bite down hard, cause some damage but not too much and then release the cat from his jaws.

Once this had happened the Hybrids regrouped and stood protectively over the fallen form of the stranger they did not know but was attacked by the cat. Thalicka growled at the feline and spoke in a deep voice.
Correction, me and my sister are not wolves, although we do have wolf blood in us. I suggest you tell me whats going on here otherwise I'll rip your head off for even trying to harm an animal so closely related to myself.

Ageni

Ageni lifted her head to hear one of the hybrids speak to the large feline. "That cat was hunting me," she growled bitterly. Normaly anger was the last thing she expressed from her kind nature, but at times she was known to be bitter. She attempt to stand and limped off two feet before dropping to the ground again. This time she did not yelp, but a bark emitted through her narrow jaws. Her once lovely cream colored coat now had a mixture of crimson.

Ronen

He took a few steps back, glaring banefully at his attackers and the wounded wolf, "Wolf, dog, what's the difference. You're all prey to me!" He growled in defiance, "Seeing as you took the fae's side so blindly, I doubt you'd care to consider my side of the story. Even if I told you, it wouldn't make much difference." Ronen grinned, baring his bloodied fangs. "I've had enough here, anyway." Giving the group one last look, the leopard sprung away.

Ageni

She was glad the large cat ran off, but now she was injured and Nightcrawler was still in the clutches of humans. "Thank you," she said softly to the hybrids slowly standing again. She did not walk off nor did she fall this time, although stood rather sluggishly. It seems the pack was falling apart and at the same time growing. Kali was gone to pure darkness and insanity and new comers joined in. Thoughts ran through her mind and soon faded as her light amber eyes glanced up at the hybrids and Dusty.

Dusty

Dusty snarled at the retreating feline, but knew better than to follow it. He had gotten a series of gashes along his side from the swip Ronen gave him, but the wounds were superficial and he easily put the stinging pain to the back of his mind. "No problem; looks like we got here just in time." The hybrid replied, noticing the condition Ageni was in. "Maybe you ought to go to the Woodland Lady?"

Ageni

Ageni stepped forth with anger at the thought of that lady. She remembered her mother when they took Akecheta there after being bit by a snake. Her mother's face was clear in veiw, a face she could never see again. "No," she said in a low growl. "I just want to go home," she muttered taking another step forth and stumbling onto the ground with a peircing cry.

Dusty

He was surprised by her resentment for the Lady, but didn't question it. She must have her reasons, Dusty thought. "I will help you, then." He vowed, rushing towards her side as she fell. "I-uh, I'm new to the pack.. sort of." He explained hastily, in case she wondered. His eyes flashed to Damia and Thalicka, "Could you two help me?" Dusty wasn't sure how far Ageni could make it.

Damia and Thalicka

The hybrids nodded at Dusty's question. Damia stepped forward. She was slimmer than her older brother, her body shape more for speed than strength. Her light coat also defined her character, light, warm and caring.
Of course. I am Damia and this is my brother Thalicka.

Thalicka moved forward as his name was said. Her was much bigger than his sister and thickly muscled.

Ageni

Ageni smiled to him after he offered to help her home. "Your Dusty, Jesse's mate. I've heard about you back at the pack," Ageni said blissfully back to her joyous self. She slowly stood back up looking to the hybrids. "Hello Damia, Thalicka, I'm Ageni," she said kindly. "Where is it that you've wandered from?" she asked the hybrids.

Damia and Thalicka

Damia smiled.
Its somewhere far from here, I doubt you would have heard of it. It's a small place where my, our, fathers pack is situated. We've only just arrived here, So we're just getting to grips with the area.

Ageni

Ageni nodded to Damia slightly. "You'll get used to this area in no time. I was born here, although my friend Kali was brought here really," she said in a low voice nearly falling back over, but she didn't for once and her smile widened. "Are you apart of your father's pack?" she asked curiously.

Damia and Thalicka

The hybrid shook her head sadly.
Not any more im afraid. My brother had to leave to "find himself" and start a pack of his own. I decided to come with him. There wasnt anything there for me really.

Thalicka stepped forward.
I hate to break up the discussion but shouldnt we be getting you back to your pack? Those wounds look pretty nasty.

Ageni

"I see, I can help you find territory of your own or you can join my pack," she replied, then glancing to Thalicka. "yes I should, only I doubt anyone would be there other then Blade. They are all out searching for Nightcrawler, and Blade is guarding the territory as always," she said softly.

Damia and Thalicka

The older brother grinned.
Well I suppose its something. I'm sure Damia and myself wouldnt mind sticking around until your pack return, just to be sure that feline doesnt come back.

Damia nodded in agreement and smiled.
Thank you for the offer but we'll have to think about it. Shall we be on our way then?

Ageni

Ageni's smile widened to their reply. "Thank you guys for everything," she said in a voice so soft and tender. Some of the blood had ran off her lovely cream coat other then her shoulders and face which still burned. She started off towards her pack, but fell again stumbling becuase of her both aching shoulders.

Gavan*Astra

The alpha's eldest son came barreling in, the fear in his brother's voice echoing in his mind. He skidded to a halt in front of the gathered group, keeping his position defensive, but not growling. He was, above all, a diplomat, and would try to find out what was going on before assuming that anyone was an enemy.

Astra came slowly after him, head hung low and looking like she didn't really want to be there. She was thinking of the last time she had been here, under such greivous circumstances, and did not even see Ageni.

Gavan's voice was level, light and pleasant, though with the hard edge of steel underneath. Are you alright, Ageni?

Ageni

She smiled when she saw Poison Blade's brother and sister Gavan and Astra come. It was a shame Kali had killed Miakoda. "I think so," she said softly attempting to stand yet again. Her strong will would not allow her to simply give up. She was terribly injured from the harsh strike, but she was alive. Her shoulders still bled and her face had stopped. She forced herself up, but her weak upper half fell on the ground to her wounded shoulder pulling the rest of her body down with it. She didn't yelp, but flinched slightly.

Gavan*Astra

The pair slid gently on either side of the wounded fae, supporting her steps. The grown ups are all rescuing Nightcrawler. Gavan told her. We'll get you safe home, and I believe Astra knows a very good herb for wounds, don't you, sis?

The sister only nodded, still away in her own little world as she supported Ageni's steps.
