Pavana

"To defeat them, first we must understand them."

Silently, the white form rested amongst the prairie grass. Her silver eyes were closed and her breathing was heavy with sleep, but her senses were actively aware of the world around her. Her nose took in the scents of the creatures and terrain, and her ears listened to the sounds of approaching and retreating forms, and of the sound of the wind rustling the grass. Pavana contently sighed in her sleep as she dreamt of what this new valley could provide for her. There were many places to explore and things to do. At the top of her list, like many other curious creatures, was the human lands. She had heard stories of the evil they committed, but wanted to see and smell them for herself. Perhaps she will never understand the two-legged kind, but she will never stop wondering about them.

Eventually, the lupine opened her eyes to take in the sights of the grass and creatures that also have chosen to dwell here. She slowly pushed herself up and sat upon her haunches, hoping to interact with another creature that lived her. She was in that sort of mood today, which was quite odd for this potentially dangerous being. Pavana remained there, alone and content, surrounded by the prairie grass. However, the lupine did not lower her guard. She chose to remain alert and cautious, knowing the dangers of being a lone wolf.

Rhyme

The young female trotted slowly through the tall grasses. She could smell another female, but she couldn't see her. She continued on her way though. Rhyme was new to these lands, and wanted to meet other wolves. He father and the pack were resting at the ruins, and it would eb a while before dark, so she had decided to explore the new places.

After not long of searching, she came upon the wolf she had scented. Her coat was white, unlike her own which was black. Rhyme slowed down when she was close. Making sure the she-wolf wasn't sleeping, she called out.

"Lo. I'm new round here. Rhyme's the name. What bout you?"

Pavana

Pavana heard the rustling of the grass before she heard the voice. She turned her head to meet the gaze of the approaching female. She stood out like a sore thumb, having a black pelt and all, but Pavana had to say the same thing for herself because her own pelt wasn't exactly not-noticable. She nodded a greeting, unsure of whether or not she felt the same about talking to another creature as she did only moments before. It's one thing thinking about doing it, but it's another thing actually doing it. But, her urge to converse got the best of her and she opened her maw, speaking to the new arrival. "Pavana." The only word that escaped her mouth was her name. Pavana wasn't the friendliest of lupine, even when she tried to be. She was brought up that way, and this nature was the only thing she knew, the only thing she liked and felt comfortable in. And she wasn't going to let anyone change that.

Rhyme

Rhyme stayed a few metres away, unsure wether Pavana wanted her any closer. She stayed standing.

"Well it's nice to meet you Pavana."

She eventually sat down. Her black pelt did make her stick out like a sore thumb. It would look strange them sitting together. A black wolf next to a white one. She smiled at Pavana.

"So what brings you here?"
