Catalpa
The she-wolf loped in at a slow pace, to make sure Mitya could keep up. Stopping atop of a mound, Catalpa tilted her muzzle back and tested the wind for scent of prey.
Mitya
She lopes in after the older she wolf, and stops by her side, she looks up at what she is doing, then copies her, she smelt a strange smell.
*Carcass*
The scent of blood came wafting with the breeze. Deer and some sort of oily scent mingled with the smell of blood.
If you travel about a mile in the direction of the scent, you will come across the carcass of five elk. Two elk have no heads, while several others are missing chunks of meat from their bodies. Crisscrossing the ground are long, parallel lines in the snow. Tracks that look like no normal animals are all over the ground, that of humans.
Mitya
She howls, happy about the new smell, she takes off running and howling at the same time, after while of running she comes upon dead animals, she howls to the older she wolf to come look.
Catalpa
Catalpa sprinted up to the elk, but suddenly stopped and cricked her tail in suspicion, "Be very careful. Smell that oily scent? That comes from humans, and they are very dangerous." She furrows her brows in thought and concern. Her pack, or the one she use to live in, was under constant attack by humans. But Catalpa was very hungry, so she decided to risk it. She began to feed off the carcass of an elk, while looking up now and then to make sure there was no danger.
Mitya
She looks around, then starts to feast on the dead carcass
Catalpa
After eating her fill, Catalpa tilted her muzzle back howled out loudly, calling for Mitya's friend. She also turned her muzzle to the direction of her pack lands; although she wasn't sure whether she was still a part of that pack or not. But she figured showing them where all this food was would be a good token to get her back into the pack.
Mitya
She listened to her call as she sent it out, then sighed a sad sigh.
"I dont think Manov will come back to me right now, maybe after awhile."
Mitya
She smiles at her.
"I'm going to leave and find Manov. Good-Bye!"
Turns and runs as fast as she could out of the prairies.
