Liseli

Tear my heart out
Leave my body layin' here
Don't bother to remember
The fire that you destroyed...

A gaunt spectre stumbled through the prarie, burrs aplenty caught in the pure white fur, black slashed muzzle hung low. She hadn't eaten in days, had drunk very little, and wandered aimlessly, trying to escape from herself. She shook her head violently as though to rid herself of something and took off at a high speed, coming to a sudden stop a few yards away. Dusty green eyes closed against a pain that could not be seen or avoided. Finally, the little white fae let her legs give way, flopping to the ground in a heap, murmuring soft nonsense as the unmerficul sun rose high overhead in defiance.

If you tear the heart out of a fire, what do you have left? Cinders...

V.estige

He had once again left Lady's side.

Liseli had not been the only one to wallow in sadness, V.estige too had not eaten much and drunk very little in the days after the battle. He couldn't take looking into Lady's eyes and seeing the hurt in them from Sauda's passing when he could have stopped it.

The Alpha was wandering aimlessly through the tall grasses, silently. His whole body slumped, thin and worn. A noise sounded, and the wolf's head shot up, ears erect as he looked about for any danger that could be around. Spotting none, he was about to gaze back at the floor again, when he saw a white wolf, one he seemed to recognise, wandering alone out in the wild too. They looked sad, whoever it was, much like himself. Then the figure sped up, as if trying to outrun something before slowing to halt and dropping to the floor. At first, V.estige thought it could be poachers but then, when no-one came to retrieve the wolf, it was clear this was no hunt. The Alpha picked up a reasonably quick pace for his weak form and soon came to the side of the wolfess.

He almost did a double-take. It was Liseli.

He wimpered and gently nudged her with his muzzle.
Liseli, Liseli can you hear me? Are you okay?
Sure, it was a stupid question to ask, but he didn't know what to do. Should he call Lady? He didn't know...so he just stayed by her side, hoping their was nothing physically wrong with her, apart from fatigue.

Liseli

The white fae was lost in her own thoughts when a voice peirced the darkness of them. Not even turning her head, for she had a memory for voices, she spoke softly. In body, as well as may be. In mind... well, I will be soon. And she let out a barking laugh that ended in a cough, her shrunken weight shkaking with its force.
